We had a reservation for nine and had to wait. It was the Eid, and the reapers busy so that and the waitress being not as attentive as I would expect, both get passes for the holiday. Picked this place based on a Reddit feed on what to eat near Credit 1 Amphitheater. This place did not disappoint. We walked in and was sat at a table with another group within 15 mins. They also had just regular seating if you don't want to sit at hibachi grill. For food we got the steak and chicken hibachi. Additionally we got two maki rolls. The food was good and the service was prompt once it got started. Hibachi cooking didn't take forever and that was nice. Also noddle appetizers was an added plus. Throughly enjoyed this meal and would dine here again if in the area. Please note that 18% service charge automatically added, which is fair to me given the performance. First what they got right: the floor service was EXCELLENT. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. The waiters and bus service were efficient and incredibly attentive. I want to make sure their hard work is acknowledged. And I cannot tell you how delicious our food was. My boyfriend and I both got the filet and shrimp hibachi. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sides like noodles and fried rice were well seasoned and not over cooked. All of these elements were above standard. The disappointment: my expectation for a hibachi dinner is entertainment. It's a delight when the chef does tricks, tells jokes, engages the diners, etc. The chef for this meal did none of these things. He almost seemed empty, it was disheartening. I did not realized the sad irony of a depressed hibachi chef before. The food tasted so delicious but there were no jokes or engagement or show or anything. It feels almost ridiculous to make this review, but with the bill there was a hefty performance charge, and we had no performance! I'm telling you he didn't ask any questions. He silently made the rice heart and tower of onions but SAID NOTHING. It really put a damper on the evening, I honestly wanted to ask if he was ok. At the end I asked a server (she was amazing the whole night) how the tip would be split. I wanted to ensure that she and all the others that waited on us would be taken care of, and the performance charge that was already on the bill was too much for a no show. She explained that the tips were pooled for the floor staff, and in the future if you have a chef you like you can request them with a reservation. I wanted to say again how delicious the food was and how professional the servers were. It honestly broke my heart how disappointing the hibachi chef was this night. If it were a sit down restaurant this review would be 4-5 stars easily. But, and I hope I'm not wrong with this, when you go to a hibachi steak house you expect a show. This was our first time coming here. It is located in a strip mall and is smaller than I expected but cozy. We came here tonight to celebrate our son's birthday. Since his birthday fell on Superbowl Sunday, when we arrived, two other families were finishing their dinner, so we had the place to ourselves after they left. With this being said, the service was wonderful! Staff was very attentive and we loved our chef, Andy. I wish I had taken a video of him twirling the spatulas around because he was awesome, engaging, and funny! For appetizers, we ordered sushi and spring rolls. The birthday celebrant ordered filet mignon and lobster, my daughter ordered the chicken and salmon, hubby ordered the steak and lobster, and I ordered the salmon and lobster. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I love my rice, but I especially enjoyed the noodles. To Ryan's wonderful surprise, they brought him fruit after dinner. That was so sweet of them! read more

This is my second time visiting this place, and both experiences have been good. This time, they had a lunch menu with really reasonable prices--about half of what the dinner menu costs. My little especially loved the cool tricks and the lemonade pour! Our lunch was well-prepared, and our waitress was attentive. The only downside of coming around lunchtime is that while the restaurant is quiet, and not super busy, the staff is also eating lunch, so it took a little while to get a table. We waited for two more people to arrive and then stood for about 10 minutes until someone finished their lunch to show us to a table. Definitely wasn't end all for us though / we still enjoyed our lunch! The 18% surcharge at the end was interesting though as a small group. read more

Tokyo Steak House is the place to go for quality hibachi. It's a good idea to make reservations if you want to eat at the grill and if you have a large group. We had 7 people and we were seated with another party of 2. After our waiter took drink and food orders, the soup and salads were brought out quickly. The soup is delicious and I recommend the ginger dressing for the salad but it was nice to hear there were options. Other hibachi restaurants I've been to don't offer options and only serve ginger dressing. Shortly after the salad, our chef arrived and the show began. My kids love the tricks and fire...oh who am I kidding? So do I. The big surprise for us was every meal comes with rice of your choice AND fried noodles! Seemingly too much food but it was tasty. I had the filet mignon cooked medium rare and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. Next time we are in the area we will for sure be eating here again! read more

Boyfriend and I came here since we saw that they served sushi here, unknowing of the hibachi (probably a fault on us), and the food was.. alright. We had the sushi appetizer along with the tonkotsu and beef ramen. Sushi was decent. Ramen were just ok, the broth being the saving grace of both dishes. The eggs used in the ramen were overcooked and tasted gummy-like. The pork and beef weren't seasoned either, and tasted bland. The prices were a bit high as well, which really lowered our options. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was really nice! Very pretty decor and the staff were very nice. Overall this place is probably a good place for hibachi, but nothing else. read more

I've been multiple times, and I'll keep coming back! Hibachi and sushi are both great, little bar area to get a drink if you have a wait (they usually aren't very long if at all). We sat at a table away from the hibachi diners. I was told that reservations are required to get the personal experience at the grill tables. That was fine as the tables for two or four people are not family style seating . Tempura, bento boxes and sushi can be ordered as a hibachi alternative. We enjoy some hibachi and especially for family celebrations. Tokyo Steak House Was a new location for us and did not disappoint! They were able to accommodate our whole group of 9 adults and 2 children at one table which was super cool. The production was very interactive and enjoyable. Our chef played it up for the birthday girl and she loved every minute of it. Our server was accurate, polite and professional. The food was good. I've been here before for the Hibachi. This time we just got some sake and sushi. Overall, very good. The sushi and maki were delicious. Server was polite and attentive. Only issue I had was the regular seating. If you aren't sitting for Hibachi, there's just a few small tables in the front. Not bad, but for some reason I expected more normal tables. Quick bite with a buddy and my first time at this place. It has very small seating options if you are not there for Habachi. I mean VERY limited. It might as well just be a HABACHI RESTAURANT due to it not having hardly any other seating... Sushi was on my mind. We were seated without being asked WHAT we were having, then after drink orders came out to the table-we were asked to move with all of our things to another part of the place bcz we werent having Habachi. There were literally like 4 small tables in the place that were "regular seating". She helped me move my things. I had angel haired sushi. I was excited However it was a bit flavorless. The server seemed to be overly occupied with cleaning up behind the bar and talking with another coworker, so I was left thirsty for a great portion of time time. Nothing about this place at all screamed revisit. Nothing even said in a whisper revisit. So I won't. It was just ok. A boring ok. I love getting the full hibachi dinner because it comes with soup, salad, rice (you can upgrade it to fried for a small charge), noodles, veggies, some shrimps, and your main protein of choice. I got their scallops, which where so tender and had a lovely crust on the outside. The service is also top tier and super fun. I'm writing this updated*** review for many reasons. First off let me say going towards the south suburbs there are some options for hibachi this one used to be my favorite. But due to the service and the quality of the food I will say this place has really gone downhill in terms of being good anymore. We came in as a group, there were a few other surrounding tables. Ordered the sushi along with hibachi the sushi was room temperature and just falling apart. I didn't really care for the rice, but my overall concern was cleanliness of this restaurant and I'll tell you why. It just felt like it wasn't up to standards like it used to be. There is a sense of carelessness and neglect when it comes to food temperature and cleanliness here. But what really concerned me is that my uncle got food poisoning the day after, He had gone to the ER and they told him he had cross contamination of food poisoning. The noodles were extremely salty, they had given my husband chicken that was still pink and we sent it back. The only thing I enjoyed was the soup and salad to be honest everything else was over salty and undercooked. I think it's important for management accept and take accountability for this feedback. I will not be coming back here with so many other options this is no longer one. read more

We decided to stop in on Sunday Jan. 31st after an afternoon of shopping. We found the restaurant as we were driving by and the name caught our attention. We were excited to try Japanese teppanyaki, however because a reservation was required due to a holiday, we decided to stay for their 50% off bogo sushi. The server was attentive, friendly, and pretty quick to bring out water, hot tea, and hand towels. Our order was placed and it came out fairly quick. The sushi was good quality, I enjoyed their spicy tuna roll, and at a BOGO 50%, was a good deal. When the check came, I was very disappointed that the sushi advertised 50% off sushi Sunday through Thursday BOGO deal was not honored because it was considered a holiday. It was not mention that it was not honored on a holiday nor was it written anywhere. It wasn't like it was going to make it break the bank. It was just disappointing that it wasn't mentioned. Overall, the service was great. The food was good. And the setting was decent. You do walk out of there with the smell of food clinging to your clothes, but that is typical of any teppanyaki restaurant. read more

Service was fantastic and the sushi was delicious. The teppanyaki food was amazing and flavorful. They used a seasoned butter for all the dishes which gave the food it was cooked in a great flavor! The only downfall is that they did not have extractors over any of the grills and so the smoke was not filtering out. read more
