You will not be disappointed with the food here! I ordered The full steak plate and on the side, pot stickers and Yakisoba Noodles. The steak bowl was almost perfect. The steak was tough, but so flavorful you almost did not want to stop chewning. The potstickers were cooked perfectly and filled with flavor. The Yakisoba Noodles were cooked to perfection and provided a great backstop for the other items. I have honestly been to several Japanese resteraunts in town and feel that this is the best flavor and value in town. read more

I wanted to have great things to say about this place. And maybe a Door Dash isn't the best way to rate it? I might try again when we can sit in a restaurant. The prices aren't bad - $9 for a half size chicken and shrimp bowl is fair, and $11 for a full size steak and shrimp bowl is more than fair. But, nothing really wowed us. It was an expensive "shrug" of a meal. ($36 after service fee and dasher tip). I didn't finish my rice because it was soggy and mushy. The noodles were just OK, as were the potstickers and the spring rolls. I liked the texture of the chicken, and the flavor of the shrimp, so there was a little bit of redemption in that. In all, I might try it again when we can sit down, avoid service fees, have it hot, and hope the rice is cooked. read more

Soooooo good! I don't know what else to say about Tokyo Teriyaki. Staff was super friendly, even though I showed up just before closing, and they made me a great meal. The teriyaki chicken bowl with noodles is the way to go. And, I don't know what they put in their super secret sauce, but I would eat cardboard if it was dipped in that sauce. The staff were friendly, which is always nice; but I'll cut to the chase. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. My husband and I both got a steak, chicken, and shrimp bowl. It was delicious and absolutely loaded. You get a great amount that makes it worth the money spent on it. The only thing is they were low on veggies at the time. We would have liked more veggies. The cream cheese wontons were PERFECT. The potstickers, PERFECT. The Taro Milk Tea, PERFECT. My husband and I will definitely be back. I do, however, have to agree with another review here when it comes to the steak. It was a little greasy, and it definitely tasted like ground beef. I will try a salmon bowl next time and update my review with how that one tastes. Update: went back today for the salmon bowl. WOW. Exceeded my expectations. Much more in the bowl then expected. I had purchased a Full bowl, NOT a double. The amount of salmon in it was so crazy, I had to take a picture. It was also delicious, so I look forward to getting it the next time I crave salmon. I had never heard of this place before, but was driving past and saw it and thought I'd stop in. Was greeted very politely, and all of my questions were answered that I had. I also loved that. The owner remembered my name which is important to me I ended up getting the salmon with fried rice and brown rice and I have to say, it's been one of the best salmon dishes I've had in a very long time highly recommend this place to anyone read more

It's a cute, clean little restaurant that smells like heaven! The ingredients look (and taste) super fresh and the flavors are simple and clean and very well executed. Very reasonably priced, too! They offer teriyaki bowls made up of your choice of rice/noodles and meat/seafood with steamed veg on the side. It's like my favorite food court mall stall, only better! We'll for sure be back. *Just as an FYI: they go pretty light on the teriyaki sauce, so if you like a good amount of it, definitely ask for extra. I'm a fan of asian fast food but this was not up to par. unfortunately I would rather go to Panda Express. I got the teriyaki bowl with shrimp and the shrimp looked like it was breaded but too soaked in grease to even tell, and if it wasn't breaded then idk what was on it. the flavor was off too! I also wanted fried rice and the lady told me they didn't have it yet it said fried rice on the menu. I feel like they should've said, "we are out", rather than "we don't have it." anyways, i wanted to like it but unfortunately i won't be back to this place. read more

Worst Customer Service!!! My first time walking in and I noticed there wasn't anyone to take my order at the front -- not a big deal, as I understood that it was slow-- so I waited for them to appear. After about 5 minutes, the cashier finally appeared and started to take my order. I was hoping to use a coupon I got in the mail, which seemed to annoy the cashier as she looked bothered when I handed it to her. She then told me she had to go ask her boss if they accepted it. Again, not a big deal as I have worked in customer service and I understand that coupons can be tricky. What I did have a problem with was that when she emerged from the back, she told me that I had to wait 5 minutes to take my order. I was super confused, as she had already started taking my order and there was a line with a few people behind me waiting still to order. She wasn't kind or even polite during our exchange, which just really made things worse. I was fully ready to order some more food other than what was on my coupon, but the exchange left such a bad taste in my mouth that I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. I will definitely not be returning and will not be recommending this place to anyone anytime soon. read more

Seriously the best teriyaki bowls we have ever had. My kids were saying it's better than Benihana and I agree. And for a fraction of the price. I talked to the chef to hear how they do it. Turns out they make all of their sauces from scratch the traditional Japanese way. No shortcuts. And they order the highest quality steak, chicken and shrimp. My kids gobbled up the gyoza and loved their boba drinks too. The portions are so generous and the flavor is unbelievably PERFECT. Funny story, we liked the food so much we bought lunch for the kids' teachers and received 35/35 rave reviews from them too! This place rocks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I wanted to like this place so much after hearing this little eatery was opened up by the family who owned the old Kowloon Cafe. I realize this is 100% nostalgia and Kowloon wasn't much to write home about but it was a place my husband's family had been going to for generations. I'm giving it two stars because the staff was very friendly and the chef was so kind and helpful. Other than that, the food was gross. The standard teriyaki sauce tasted like nothing, it was just wet and brown - no flavor at all. I'm not even sure how they call that teriyaki sauce. After a short while the chef brought us a little cup of a new sauce he had just made today, that sauce was delicious and I hope it replaces the weird tasteless brown stuff in the future. If the new sauce was used in the first place my review might have been better. Additionally, their chicken is all dark meat. While this might be fine for most people, it was disappointing for us. The steak and chicken were both extremely fatty and greasy. The steak was closer to ground beef than anything I would call steak. They are cheap cuts and I understand that you can't expect too much from a price point around $10. Except their competition, Teriyaki Grill and Rumbi seem to manage it just fine. My husband and I both could not finish our meals, it was just that bad. If our appetites hadn't been completely ruined we might have gone to the Arby's next door to finish our dinner. read more

We ordered one combination Teriyaki Chicken & Beef bowl, and one Teriyaki Chicken bowl togo for dinner today. The chicken was burnt and the texture was extremely dry ... tastes like chicken jerky!! I personally had a pleasant time here. It was freshly cooked, and it exactly what I thought it was going to be. It's just an $10 Asian bowl. If you want a flemings steak or frickin PF Changs then go. But you get what you pay for here and I was not disappointed. The only downside is that it is just Teryaki Grill with a different name and more oil. They cook with a heavy amount of oil, and I wish they'd cut back on that, it'd make it taste much more vibrant. There was zero creativity or ingenuity here. They dont offer anything else besides a closer location. I hope they can bring a flare to their menu:) I'd give 5 stars if it wasnt for these things. Everything was well cooked and flavorful. I order my food on 5:44pm, and I try to pick it up at 7:00 pm, and they told me it is not ready. can you believe this

Terrible service and there was no one inside, we ordered to bowls and they screwed up the orders. Got in 8:30pm and sign says close at 9pm. Cashier told us they close at 8:45pm and took off all the fountain drink nozzles so when we went to get more water she said we close. Like you have customers inside. Even when we walked in we was not greeted. No friendly service. First time and definitely last. read more

It was okay. Tokyo teriyaki reminded me of the Teriyaki spots you find at the malls. The only difference is you wait less at the mall and get bigger portions. I also noticed that the cook had precook the chicken and threw it back on the grill when my order was up. I would understand if it's the lunch rush and you're trying to get orders out. But I went during down time, when it was time to eat I had some hard pieces of chicken as if it was mixed in with other pieces that were previously cooked. . The veggies were nice and crunchy.
