Wow... this place is great! Funny thing is, I was just trying to turn-a-round in the parking lot...but ended up facing the front door. See the picture, is this a beautuful presentation or what! That's a lot of teriyaki and gyozo and rice and salad, for $9.99 ! The chicken was cooked just right, still supple with a rich Teriyaki sauce. There was two scoops of rice and the lettuce on the salad was super crisp. The gyozas were hot with dipping sauce... wonderful! ...super clean, modern place to boot! I've ordered from Wok & Bowl once while in the area after a very long day doing errands, and the food was OK. Ordered a beef teriyaki combo that came with white rice (no choice for brown) and plain salad, just lettuce with dressing. The beef was a little dry, but the portion was generous. I was the only person there. My order was rung up as $99.99 the first time - had to point it out to get it corrected. The gal running the register had also been in the kitchen and was probably just really tired. They have Chinese food here as well as Japanese plus soups. If I could give zero stars I would. First there seemed to be language barrier and the cashier had difficulty understanding what I wanted to order. I ordered the prawn tempura, the hot and spicy chicken, and the hot and spicy tofu. On the way home it didn't quiet smell right to me. I get home and I am met with a sloppy mess of over cooked veggies and I couldn't tell the difference between the hot and spicy chicken and the hot and spicy tofu, I plate up everything. The prawn tempura was all batter. It looked like when they butterflied the prawn they cut it down into four thin strips. The batter was about a 1/4" thick. It was more like a prawn flavored batter shaped like a prawn tempura. And instead of giving me tempura sauce, I get ponzu instead. WTF? Do they not know ponzu doesn't go with tempura. The hot and spicy chicken and hot and spicy tofu was indeed a messy slop of over cooked veggies. It wasn't spicy at all but more of a watered down sweet and sour sauce and I HATE sweet and sour. The chicken was grilled and tasted like they just washed off the teriyaki sauce and added it to the sweet and sour sauce. I also hate teriyaki so the combination of sweet and sour with chicken teriyaki was absolutely GROSS! The hot and spicy tofu was just like the chicken in that it also tasted like watered down sweet & sour sauce again, which I hate). It was the same sloppy mess of over cooked veggies minus the grilled teriyaki chicken. The only good thing was the rice. It was an expensive meal for lousy food and the only good thing was the rice. My lunch buddies and I have had some really bad experiences at this place. we used to go there for lunch and it was good food with the old ownership. It was opened with new owners at one point and was ok, but then the staff switched out and we started getting sick after eating here. we should have known something was wrong with the food because you could taste it not only in the beef but also the chicken. They try to cover up the bad tasting meat with spices. Not sure how they remain in business. In my use of stars, I try to show how far out of your way you should go: 5 means nationally; 4 means within the region; 3 means within a city; 2 means down the street; 1 means if you're in front of the door and can't make it anywhere else. We ordered the gyoza, orange chicken, and the honey garlic chicken with upgrade to the fried rice. Everything was delicious! Both chicken dishes were fried to perfection. The honey garlic chicken was a great partnership between a slight sweet and a savory garlic sauce. The orange chicken equally good with a little bit of sweet and little bit of tang and a little bit of spice. Gyoza was fried to perfection with a yummy hearty filling. We stayed in the hotel next to this restaurant and so we ate their our first night. It was amazing. I had the tofu and my nephew had the chicken teriyaki. We love both dishes so much that we went back two days later and ate there again. We had different things and they were equally delicious. The woman at the counter/register was so nice to us both time we were in there. The portions are very large (16 year old nephew could only eat 1/2). I would go here next time I visit the area. So glad I stopped here for lunch. Can we say, "COMBO PLATES!" It's not just Teriyaki here, you can have almost anything (with or without Teriyaki). I had the CC7 plate, General Tso's Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki Combo plate ($9.99), served with two scoops of rice. (I substituted fried rice for $2 more). The food here is fresh, fast, delicious. I also ordered egg rolls (2 for $3.99) My only complaint: no Chinese hot mustard. Are you kidding? You can't serve egg rolls w/o mustard! (The server pointed out the giant Sriracha bottles at table-side). Um, That's NOT the same as Chinese mustard! The portions are huge, so make sure you are really hungry when you come here. My wife found this restaurant online and we gave it a shot based on the reviews. We were quickly transformed to regulars, they have some really delicious dishes. Our favorites here are the generals chicken and yakisoba. The generals might be a bit too sweet or tangy for some but for me it's perfect. I decided to go with the daily special which was the orange chicken and teriyaki. As I sat down they brought me soup, I believe it was egg flower soup, the soup tasted pretty good I was content. When the teriyaki and orange chicken came out i was quite surprised on how big the portion was, it was huge! The teriyaki i felt was alright it was pretty average, but the orange chicken I wasn't really a big fan of it. The orange chicken was to sour for me, I didn't eat it. Overall I thought the price was very cheap to the amount of food i got, that dish was only $8. I really wanted to like this place as it looks nice and clean when you enter. Lots of choices. Slightly pricier than others I've been but not by much. I order the chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo. They have complimentary soup which was very good. I got my plate and noticed that the chicken was much darker than I'm used to. But I was starved so I started eating. Rice was a good texture. Really enjoyed the salad. But the chicken was rubbery and the sauce has a strange tangy taste. As I was eating I noticed a hair. Figured it was mine and took it out. But then I saw another short strand between the chicken and rice so I looked at it closer. It was black and coarse. And I have very fine brown hair. I handed my plate to the cashier, pointed out the hair and that it wasn't mine and walked out. My only hope is that they see the review and be more careful in the kitchen.
