I absolutely loved my shrimp cocktail, and it was chock full of shrimp and avocado. (I hate it when a restaurateur skimps on the good stuff in a coctel de camaron.) My waitress couldn't have been friendlier. I ordered a chile relleno to go, and The Hubster was very happy when I delivered him his meal for the evening. (I seldom dine alone, and it felt strange to take food home. I also never order anything to go.) I (practically a teetotaler) am anxious to try a margarita on my next visit. Handmade flour tortillas - incredible! We all have our favorite dishes but my favorite is their shrimp cocktail - it is the best I've had. It has a sweet and spicy tomato base. So. Good. I have gone to other Mexican restaurants s d told them to make it sweet AND spicy since having it at Toledo's. No one has ever gotten it quite as good. And the portions are huge. I probably get 12-14 shrimp in the cocktail with a full avocado. Service is consistently great and staff is always super friendly. One of our favorite places to go for dinner. :) read more

Food is usually good at a reasonable price. However, today was the exception. I ordered shredded beef nachos and a margarita to go. Total cost was $24! Plus I tipped $5! What?!? When I opened the box of nachos, there were about 10 chips, lots of cheese (I will give them that), and a reasonable amount of beef, but approximately 1/4 of that was chunks of fat. Anyways, I have no idea what I paid $24 for, except maybe the margarita, and for that, I could have had way more from the liquor store. Missed the mark on the nachos, Toledo. We do go to other Mexican restaurants also. Each one has its own thing they do well. Toledo's does everything well overall. We do visit this establishment frequently. They are very friendly and never overcharge. Quick with service. Clean. Everything you want in a Mexican restaurant. They also have great substitutes for rice and beans if you want to get out of the norm. And great desserts if you still have room. read more

My husband and I found this great restaurant while traveling from Oklahoma City to El Reno. We both wanted fajitas, and decided to try the lunch fajitas.....he got chicken and I got shrimp. Awesome choices with lots of food. While we waited, we were served chips, salsa, and white queso. The queso is the best I've ever eaten. My husband and I stopped in here one night a couple years ago on a drive from Blanchard to Piedmont when he was craving Mexican food. We thought its location was a little strange, but once we found it, we were happy we did. Food is always prepared fresh with excellent flavor, service commendable, and prices affordable. The place is always clean and well kept. We no longer make the regular drive between Blanchard and Piedmont, but we do make a special trip from Piedmont to Mustang, past lots of other Mexican restaurants, just to eat here. We decided to stay local tonight and try out Toledo's... boy did we make the right choice!! The solace was pretty busy but we got right in, ordered, and had food in 5-10 minutes. It was SO good!! They have the best beer with Salt and Lime around the glass! Ice cold, perfect salt and lime mix, simply delicious. The fajitas were SO good! They could've had more bell peppers in the mix, but there was a hefty amount of chicken and beef, and the beef was a good cut. It wasn't all junk fat meat. First off, I'm rating this on the Okie-mex scale, so take that into consideration if you're looking for some solid Tex-mex or authentic Mexican. I've had trouble finding decent Mexican food since moving here. I came here today after reading reviews and thought "why the heck not?" Let's start out with salsa and queso. They bring you yellow queso and regular salsa. Both are decent. But you know what else they bring? Fresh homemade tortillas. For me that's three of my four stars. Our service is good too. So there's that. Also, they have white queso they'll bring you and a hotter salsa. Both are better than their standard offerings, so ask for them! I wouldn't have known had I not heard the neighboring table ask. Quick interjection: their sweet tea is on point. Yes! I had the tortilla soup, which after some lime juice and salt was pretty yummy. Ask for the limes with your order. I also asked for extra avocado. My son had the kids crunchy taco and he loved it. As far as Mexican in a grand scale goes, this place is only mediocre. This was okay. Definitely nothing I would seek out again or crave. The salsa and cheese were what I would expect at a Mexican restaurant here. I had a ground beef chimichanga. The flavor of the beef was good, but here wasn't a whole lot of filling in the chimi and it wasn't crispy like I would expect. Everything was pretty bland. I could eat it again if I had to, wasn't bad but wasn't good either. Our server was nice, but it felt like he was trying to rush us out the door. The restaurant wasn't even full, but he brought the check pretty early and then stopped refilling drinks. My Shrimp a la Diabla was good; but, my brother said the chili on his ground beef burritos tasted like it came out of a can of Wolf Brand Chili. He normally gets a tilapia dish that he should have ordered during this visit as well. 03/25.....has this restaurant changed ownership? My brother just called to let me know that he and the other four people in his party were served what has to be the worst Mexican food they've recently eaten. Also, when one of them asked for an additional chimichanga they were brought another entire meal for which they were charged when all they wanted was what we would all recognize as a side order item. This is my first time here and my waitress name is Jessica, she's very attentive and fast. The good was delicious actually. I ordered chicken fajita and the meat was well seasoned and fresh. There are a couple of TV in the dining area and the atmosphere was pretty relax. I read all the reviews before coming here (I was actually in my way to Alfredo's) I'll definitely be coming back especially if I get Jessica as my waitress. She came to my table several times. I never ran out of drink, chips, salsa or tortillas. She was very patient and always smiling. I'm big on customer service and she did excellent. Hopefully she sticks around. I'm always baffled by the high ratings for "mexican" food in this area. This was mediocre and super bland. The beans and rice tasted like a tv dinner and the fajita meat mix was super under seasoned. The tortillas were decent, chips and salsa were ok. Nothing great and we won't be back. It's better than Los vaqueros but it's not good Mexican food by any means.
