And sadly, it's hard for me to agree...but Toly's is one of the great ones along with George's, New England Pizza House No 1, and RC's. Toly's crust is amazing, and they come with a generous amount. A rare sight to see for this style pizza and they do a fantastic job. Excellent crunch. Their cheese:sauce ratio hits just right, and is neither too sweet or too acidic. Though I'm glad that there are spots on the Cape open year round, I don't know if this is a place I would order from again. For $12 dollars I got 4 small meatballs and a generous pile of dry spaghetti. This was take out - so I can't say if it would be a better experience eating in but I probably won't test that theory. Stopped by Tolys after an afternoon at the beach on this plu perfect Summer like October day. Due to a change in plans we decided to stay in and enjoy takeout and enjoy we did! I ordered the chicken gyro. Outstanding for flavor, freshness and loaded with tasty chicken. The pita and tzatziki coupled with fresh tomato and onion made for the best gyro I've had in along time. My husband had a pastrami and cheese sub. According to him "the best he's had. We picked up deserts of baklava, delicious, cheesecake, excellent and chocolate cake, so fresh and tasty! Absolutely terrible! Would never go there again. The Philly cheese egg role was an overcooked disaster with terrible filling. To add insult to injury, the gyro was not in the right bread. Tolys was the best pizza in the area, hands down fantastic. It sadly appears that the owner has passed and the business has been sold. The new owners would be wise to either change the name or figure out what made tolys so good - because good this aint. Toppings straight out of a frozen pizza is not going to fly on Cape as we are surrounded by good Greek Pizza restaurants. Here on vacation. Was weary about pizza places but any type of " house of pizza" seem to work for us. Got fries and a calzone. Calzone was good. Nice and flakey and doughy. Fries were normal and good. Staff was nice and quick. Def will come back next time we need pizza etc out here. read more

Visited over the weekend for the first time. We got an app of chicken tenders and then a small meat lover's pizza. We asked to hold the linguica, but the cook didn't hear the cashier tell him (he said it very clearly as well, so not sure what the issue was haha) Not an issue, though. The pizza was pretty good. Not the best I ever had, but tasty. I didn't mind the crust, but husband was not a fan of it. They did put a lot of toppings on the pizza which was great. No slacking on that part. I read in other reviews about things being cooked uneven, well everything was cooked great. The place itself does need some updating. It's not the best place to look at. We tried Tolys for the first time yesterday. We have lived here for years but always drive right by. I'm so glad we decided to try their pizza. This is honestly some of the best I've had on the cape (in my top 3). The pizza crust is light and a light crunch. They are very generous with toppings. The sauce is clearly homemade and delicious. I've been eating Toly's pizza for over 20 years. It's consistently yummy Greek style pizza. The crust is the best. It's a family owned, family run joint where just about everyone is a regular after a visit or two. I remember when Toly himself (the owner's oldest son) was six or seven and used to play the Ms. Pacman game (still there) in the afternoons. I have had hundreds of subs and pizzas over the years from TOLYS. So far I have had a large pizza with fresh not frozen roasted red peppers, onions, kalamata olives and prosciutto. The sauce was robust with plenty of flavor. The crust was the best I have ever eaten and the cheese was not oily like other pizza parlors. The reason they use fresh mozzarella. A group of 25 Old Tolys customers went over to give it a try we all had a different sub or pizza. We all came to the same conclusion the food is more flavorful then it use to be.
