We ordered pizza and fries via DoorDash as soon as we got to our place for vacation. Delivery was quick. Food was hot. Fries were nice and crispy. Pizza was just ok.

    Toly's spaghetti and meatballs

I ordered from Tolys this past weekend - an order of meatballs and spaghetti. Though I'm glad that there are spots on the Cape open year round, I don't know if this is a place I would order from again. For $12 dollars I got 4 small meatballs and a generous pile of dry spaghetti. This was take out - so I can't say if it would be a better experience eating in but I probably won't test that theory. My husband grew up visiting the Cape, had ordered from Tolys quite some time ago and remembered the amazing meatballs. Unfortunately these weren't the ones he remembered.

We stopped bc my husband was starving, he wanted a good salad...was handed a bowl of iceberg lettuce w a scoop of tuna & a pack of dressing; premade from the cooler. (No tomatoes or ANYTHING ELSE?!). I

Small $14 pizza- don't bother it feeds 1 person

The lowest I could give this place is 1 Star, too bad, they deserve less. I ordered a small pizza that cost $14.00, okay not bad, but the size of the pizza was joke. I think people call this personal size. I DO NOT recommend this place. I had to take a picture of the pizza so you could see how small the pizza was. I don't think the $14 bothers me as much as when you order a small pizza thinking you will feed 2 people and they hand you a personal size thin crust pizza that feeds 1 person.

The service throughout was great and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We started with the fried calamari and it was one of the best preparations I've had. It came with diced tomatoes and banana pepper rings which added a nice freshness and a little kick. For mains, the baked cod was excellent. The panko crust was crispy, the fish was fresh, and it came with well seasoned mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Fisherman's Platter was also fantastic. It came with fried cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, and two sides. I picked buttered rice and mashed potatoes, both of which were really good. Everything was fried perfectly and it also came with tartar sauce and a spicy sauce. It's a huge portion, so I'd recommend sharing it with another person. The kids fish and chips were good. The kids mac and cheese was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like Kraft or something very similar and felt severely overpriced for what it was. Someone else ordered the Crunchy Fish Sandwich which looked really good, although I didn't get to try it. For drinks I had the Citrus Mule and didn't really care for it. Overall, I really liked the menu. There was a good variety of seafood and non-seafood options, everything tasted fresh, and the service was excellent. Cost was roughly $36 per person which felt fair considering the quality and portions. We enjoyed this meal more than Skipper and I'd definitely come back.

I had the Main Street Stroll: mozzarella, tomato, arugula, and pesto on ciabatta. It was a perfect combination of ingredients. Each ingredient was fresh and in ideal proportions and flavors. I care very much about my sandwiches and this sandwich stood very high in my mental rankings. This next part is a review written by my daughter. I tried her BLT and I fully agree with everything she said: "The food here is amazing!!!!! I would especially recommend the BLT, I got mine without turkey and it was by far the best I have ever had! They put the tomato in between the lettuce so the bread wouldn't get soggy and that made it so much better than the ones I have tasted in the past. " The kebab chicken is also very nice. You rarely find grilled kebabs at a sandwich shop, but they've got them and they do a great job with the seasoning and the grilling. Thank you to the team there. You guys are doing an amazing job.

Holy oyster crackers, their chowder is truly exquisite. It's homemade (and gluten free to boot -- I eat loads of gluten but earnestly appreciate their consideration). Oh my god, I had their chowder for almost every meal. It's perfectly creamy, with hint of herbs and healthy dose of fresh clams. It might make me a Cape heretic but I prefer their chowder over Captain Parker's. We grabbed a few sandwiches for picnic and they were all incredible -- the tuna salad was excellent, very generous (tuna salad was chock full o'tuna and the sandwich was chock full o' tuna salad) and on a nice soft sandwich roll. My brother loved their California Dreamin' sandwich as well. Elaine, the woman behind the counter, is a true gem and made a lovely visit all the lovelier by welcoming us and sharing some of the history of the place and her recommendations. Can't wait to go back sometime soon and wishing Elaine and crew all the best.

My sandwich of chicken salad with nuts and cranberries was LOADED with mayo and the chicken was shredded so it had no taste. The owner was nice and friendly and the sub roll was yummy.

The chefs are true artists, imagining and executing haute cuisine with skill, precision, and personality. We opted for the optional caviar starter course, which was brilliant. The caviar, served with Pringles potato chips and tangy egg salad, was an exquisite introduction to the tasting menu. The house-made sourdough focaccia with homemade butter may have been the best bread we've eaten. The dayboat scallop was pan-seared and paired with ginger whey-poached pork belly, Anson Mills Carolina Gold lobster congee, and a sake-soy veil. It was incredible. The peas and carrots course of Thumbelina carrots, sweet peas, whipped coconut, and carrot-mint consommé was unlike anything we've experienced before. It was inspired. The fluke was sorrel brioche-crusted and accompanied by razor clam escabeche, sauce romesco, and sea beans, was magnificent. The chef spoke about harvesting the local sea beans himself, and the razor clam purveyor happened to be dining alongside us. It was a memorable and distinctly Cape Cod moment. The intermezzo was a cranberry membrane filled with a refreshing burst of vodka, and delightfully cleansed the palate. The optional foie gras bonbon, encased in milk chocolate, was another triumph. We agreed we would have missed out had we passed on it. It was one of the finest foie gras bites we've ever enjoyed. The tri-tip sirloin course featured American Wagyu with sweet onion soubise and toasted ramp-and-vinegar gnocchi. "Amazing" hardly begins to describe it. The Humboldt Fog cheese course was dramatically torched tableside and served with blueberry shallot jam, toasted milk bread, and smoked almonds. Sublime, artistic, and utterly delicious. The included dessert course featured caramelized white chocolate, lychee, pink guava sorbet, macadamia toffee, white chocolate gel, and olive oil sponge. It was unbelievably good. An optional dessert accompaniment, ordered by every diner, was a layered chocolate, shortbread, and banana tart topped with caviar was a playful and fitting finale. The charming atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent music had diners on their feet dancing between courses. We finished with their homemade Mignardises and were given a lovely packet to take home which included a homemade scone. This restaurant is wildly civilized. Many courses were served on beautiful handcrafted pieces from Scargo Pottery in Dennis collaboratively designed by the chef and the talented Scargo artist Tina Holl. I offer only praise and gratitude for the extraordinary food, welcoming atmosphere, talented and artistic staff, and a dining experience that reminds us how exceptional Cape Cod dining can be. Clean Slate delivered one of the most memorable meals we've had anywhere on the Cape.
