I am giving this bar 4 star a because to me, the pros outweigh the cons: Pros: -have a pool table (only one but that's still a plus in my book) -friendly service for the most part -can be a fun place to have a drink with friends -good place to watch a game & have some wings -the chicken wrap we got here was good Cons: -bathroom is a single stall and wasn't clean the last few times I've been there -the draft beer always tastes slightly off, can't put my finger on what the problem is -there's a wall to separate families who are dining from the slightly more rowdy bar crowd read more

Excellent fresh food & friendly service I got the Gorgonzola salad (very fresh lettuce, delicious grilled chicken on top), my husband got the shepherd's pie (also excellent), 2 teenage boys got burgers which were "good" (high praise). What a hole. Taps are switched. Goose IPA is Sweetwater and vise versa. No one knows better. Including bartender who was completely uninterested and defensive. I know my beer. These guys got it mixed up- period. 1 star for the inability to keep your taps straight and for a dipshit bartender who couldnt give a damn. Will not return. read more

Watered down booze. Had dinner and drinks at the bar with my wife. Asked for a shot of Wild Turkey 101, my wife had a tequila, and bought a shot for the bartender. I noticed the bartenders face when she poured my drink...looked long at the bottle. I thought the shot of Turkey looked a little cloudy. So, we clanged glasses and drank up. I told the bartender that I just took a shot of water...that was not Turkey. I was expecting her to say hey I thought that shot looked discolored or something and offer me another, but, she said well that was the last shot in the bottle...it is what it is... Then just went over to the regulars and chatted with them and ignored us. Very weird vibe. But I think she must have known they water down the booze and had a nervous reaction when I mentioned my shot tasted like water. We tipped her anyway. Spent about $125 with food and drinks. In NYC, it's actually pretty hard to find a decent pub. Yeah, it is, don't argue with me. As much as I hate Boston, one thing they do right is pubs. So does Bay Ridge, but christ, it's so FAR. Fortunately, one of the best things about visiting my parents back in the burbs, is that there are tons of wonderful old Irish Pubs just DYING to serve you housemade pot pies and pints of Guiness. Tom and Jerry's is one of these places. Part bar (for when you go with friends), part restaurant (for when you go with mom), it's located in an unassuming strip mall. My parents will often pick me up from the metro north station and take me to dinner here. This place has everything you could want in a pub: -amazing wings, and at really good prices. I mean really goddamn good wings. -their specialties include fish and chips, shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, irish bacon cheeseburgers, split pea soup. A really good blackened salmon caeser. Everything is nicely priced. -Foosball, weekly wing specials, nightly beer specials, appropriately placed televisions, and a working fireplace. -a dining room named after their late mother. -locals relaxing and having a good time. This area has a lot of NYPD and FDNY and they all seem to like Tom and Jerry's. I love this place and everything about it. If I were to open a restaurant, I'd like it to be like Tom and Jerry's - laid back during the day and early evening, a place to grab a bite, watch the game, and get rowdy at night. read more

I have been going here for over 13 years and I love it, great people they really get to know you after a while. They have great food sometimes a little slow but I still recommend it to everyone. They are one of the only bars still open in brewster and hope they continue to operate as the pandemic continues! read more

Tom & Jerry's is great when you want an inexpensive but delicious dining experience. Just think of the best home cooked meal you have eaten and this is slightly better. Which for the value I think is good. Ambiance is on a par with a clean bar. Monday night Trivia is awesome and the only reason I ever set foot in here in the first place. Glad They brought Tom's trivia in, now I have a great lunch spot! read more

Bartender Gina, was the most horrible, rude, uninterested, sexist, disgusting customer service worker I've ever met in my whole entire life. What I've noticed was the way she treated the male customers. Like they're best friends but she couldn't even look me in the eyes when I tried talking to her. I didn't know that because you fuck the owner of the bar means you get to treat customers however you wanted. I will never return. read more

The wings were hot and delicious and so were the fried pickles. Our server, Mary, is the best. I had a high maintenance order which she handled with a smile. She also joked and laughed with us. This was more like southern hospitality than typical northern attitude considering that I am in upstate NY. I will definitely come back. read more

I am confused as to how this server keeps her job. Perhaps she is the "Maggie" for whom the restaurant is named, as there could be no other explanation. After waiting several minutes, the server finally noticed us and asked "Can I help you?" When I told her that we would like to be seated, she rudely said "So sit!" She remained brusque in her delivery and movements throughout the meal, including flinging menus and the check. Never once did she ask if we needed anything or were satisfied. Needless to say, she is the single reason we won't be returning to Maggie's/Tom and Jerry's. read more

Whenever my husband and I go to Brewster, we look forward to stopping in Tom & Jerry's for a bite to eat and drinks. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. In the winter, the fireplace is such an inviting feature! I LOVE the fact that the bar, which naturally can tend to get a little rowdy, is completely separate from the dining area. If you want to play games and get a little loud, you just walk into the next room! Many people bring their young children into the dining area for a nice family-friendly meal. read more

This place is right across from the workplace so of course we go here on a regular bases. The thing is that they are a bar/ restaurant so I get that your busy but at time so can't call them up for a pick-up order. When you go in you find out why; only one person is working both the bar and the restaurant section. Their TJ sandwich is great with a bit of a kick and my co-workers love the fish & chips. On occasion they do put the "grilled" meat (chicken, salmon...) for the salad as blackened don't mind it but co-workers keep bitching about that. My husband and I have been eating at Tim & Jerry's once or twice a week for about 2 years. We like the menu since you have a choice of finger foods, or dinner. The waitresses are great. We are always welcomed with friendly smiles and comments. I had one bad meal in all this time, and the waitress removed the item from the meal, told the chef, and immediately asked if she could get me something else. It's a very nice atmosphere and the food is not bad along with the prices. It reminds you of small pubs in Ireland that serve food along with a full bar. The negative is the lack of service due to sometimes just having one waitress work the entire floor. On those days it's hard to get drinks or meals on time , it's mind boggling why they do this sometimes. Also the kitchen gets backed up fast , so be prepared to wait a long time for orders if crowded . Overall if you are looking for a quiet pub experience with good food, I recommend them . The waitstaff were very pleasant and attentive and they deserve 5 stars. However, the security person and bartender were extremely disrespectful to my 14 year old and myself. There were very few people at the establishment that night and simple courtesy could have avoided this review. My son went over to the bar area on our way out the door, after having dinner, to say hello to an old football coach. The security guard asked my 14 year old if he had ID and then threw him out. I have seen many occasions (busy St. Patrick's Day being one of them) in the past where children are in the bar area and playing pool and are not asked to leave in this manner. When I explained to the security guard that he could have been a little nicer in explaining to my son that he is not be in the bar area, both he and the bartender were rude and condescending towards me. I can not recommend this restaurant when it treats women and children this way. read more

Opted for a local over Ruby Tuesday, while visiting family I Brewster. After eating there, I wished I had not. Service was slow, beer was flat, got a side salad with a burger, it literally came with dressing on the same plate as the burger. The lettuce was wilted and tasted a day old, the Berger bun was half the size of the Berger, and I ask for med cooked, it came well done and very dry. This was not worth the amount we spent on the bill. read more

My family has been ordering these chicken wings for about 10 years now. We LOVE THEMMMM. I went to school in buffalo so I know a good chicken wing. Sometimes I have to ask for extra sauce but 99% of the time they come out perfect. We order pizza from one place and wings from here and make the extra stop because it's so worth it. Great place to catch the Sunday NFL games. $2 draft beer specials. Various food specials. Wings are very good. Burgers are bigger than the bread, just the way I like them. The only negative is the entree's are overcooked and very small portions. You have to kick and scream to get them to turn the game volume up, but other than that. A good neighborhood pub. read more

Went there a few times. In the beginning it was fine and local. The last time, yes my last time going.... I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger............................................$8.95 - which is on the menu. The lovely waitress charged me extra for bacon and cheese. Really. She argued that I was wrong and didn't understand - the bacon cheeseburger comes with bacon and cheese. Rocket science.... We had a lot of other issues. Nothing on the bill was the price listed on the menu. We all felt - she was padding the bill. Sorry but other restaurants will get my business read more

As a little kid my mom would always take me out to eat to different restaurants, usually local. I've been dragged to Norms, Road House, Benvenuto's, Eveready and none of them are as fantastic as Tom and Jerry's. Not only is the food pristine but the environment is warm and welcoming. Don't even get me started on the staff. They're all so friendly and know how to please their customers with just kind gestures. The decor isn't something you would find in a normal restaurant. I can honestly say that Tom and Jerry's is a very unique place and I love going there. I think I'll keep going there till the end of time. read more

I live in the area and after several times of patronizing this bar, I will never go back! The bartender, female, older with dark hair and glasses is always tending bar and is the rudest person I have ever encountered! Myself and my friend sit at a table, she will not come to the table to take the order, she yells over the bar "What do you want?" She then places the drinks on the bar for us to come and get ourselves. I could understand if the bar was busy, but there were only four men at the bar. One time she actually brought the drinks to our table and practically threw them at us! She jokes with the male patrons and knows their names. Because it is convenient, we have stopped there seven times over the last year and EVERY time she treats us exactly the same!!! And I want to add that my friend always has left her a tip of 25 - 30 percent.You would think because of that alone she would at least be nice to him. We have never complained and attempted many times to "make friends" but she can only be nasty. Everyone has a bad day but she is completely out of line. My family has been in the customer service industry for years and this would never have been tolerated. It is difficult for me to believe that the owner has not had similar complaints. Doesn't he wonder why there are few to zero females there? If you are female, don't even consider patronizing this place. There are several bars just three miles away on Rt 22 in the "McDonald's Plaza" that are much nicer with professional, friendly, attentive staff and lots of female customers. I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so after so many times being treated so terribly for no apparent reason. read more
