Celebrated my bday here! Food was delicious the wagyu was like butter and so amazing. And the creme brûlée was amazing as well! But our server Alana was the best of the best attentive, patient and made our dining experience wonderful! Thank you!

Frog legs

Went here on a Saturday early evening with my hubby, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Very classy place for a nice dinner, date or celebratory event. The decor and layout is beautiful. Jeff, our server was amazing; very attentive, friendly and made some suggestions. We started with frog legs, fried and sautéed crab claws, crab cakes and lobster bisque (the claws, crab cakes and lobster bisque was my meal). I didn't try the frog legs but the crab claws and lobster bisque were delicious. I've had better crab cakes, these were overcooked and did not have lump crab meat. My husband had the tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfection; nice crust on the outside and medium on the inside. Daughter and son-in-law each had ribeyes, sorry I didn't get a pic, but they both said they were delicious and cooked as ordered. We have been to the Madison location before and decided to try the new location and it didn't disappoint. If you're ever in the Madison/Huntsville, AL area this restaurant is a must try.

French onion soup

We came here with a friend the other night since I really enjoyed the original location and this one is closer to where we live. We did make reservations on open table. It's very easy to do. I ordered the French onion soup as a starter and then my husband and I split the Cobb salad. I wanted to try a little of everything so I got the taste of Tom's. It was very good! I love the funky decor inside. That was one of the things I loved about the flagstaff location. It's very unique and decorated with funky pop culture art. My friend ordered the shrimp & grits and escargot and they came out looking great too. We were too full for dessert this time, but they have an amazing dessert selection. So if you can manage to save room I recommend it.

Our experience was absolutely perfect! My husband surprised me with reservations for my birthday. I had the scallops which literally melted in my mouth. My husband had the filet and it was one of the best he's ever had. They also brought me a free piece of cheesecake which was delicious. Our waitress, Hannah, went above and beyond! I can't wait to go back.

JD Skewers

Food: Food was delicious. For appetizers we had: French Onion Soup - it was absolutely delicious, it had a ton of flavor and the bowl it came in was the perfect size. Crab cakes - those were also very delicious. Our teenager is trying new things and this was a hit for him. I personally love crab cakes so these were great in my mind. Fried Green Tomatoes - they were sliced thin (not as thin as some places which is fine) and full of flavor. The batter stayed on them entire time which is always nice to see. Dinner: I had the JD skewers, my wife had the Filet Mignon, and our son had to fried shrimp. The JD skewers came with some JD shrimp. Steak was cooked to a great medium and the char on it was great. The shrimp were large and not over cooked. The Filet was great. She said it was very solid but Char still had a better filet but that doesn't mean it was bad, she said it was great and she would definitely come back to eat it. My son is a teenager and cleaned his plate - need I say more? Service: Service was solid. Our waiter was kind, quick, and on point tonight. They offered their opinion when asked about the meals and didn't push anything. Ambiance - You can tell who the audience is on this playlist lol - it has the police, Billy Joel, etc. great music, maybe a tad loud. I'm not very cultured when it comes to art so don't ask me - I like it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Summary: It's unfortunate that the score on yelp doesn't reflect our experience. We ate there on Valentine's Day and they were all on point. From the hostess to the to-go container. We will definitely be coming back. If you live in South Huntsville, this is a solid place to eat on a nice date night or anniversary of some sort.

Escargot
Sam P.

We had an AMAZING experience at Tom Brown's for date night! Escargot for appetizer, ribeye for me, shrimp and grits for the spouse, Brussels sprouts on the side, BARBIE themed cocktails! (Watermelon martini & watermelon mojito), old fashioned, draft beer, crème brûlée & blueberry cheesecake for dessert. So. Freaking. Good. The service was awesome, and the ambience is cool and relaxed. The ribeye was seasoned well, and cooked correctly (medium rare) to what I ordered. The escargot was *chef's kiss* so good. I used the leftover sauce to dip my steak in. SO YUMMY. The old fashioned was smoked in a smoke chamber which I love . We did spend $200, but the very rare date night outing was worth it!

Highly overpriced for mediocre food. Only enjoyed my dessert but honestly could have gotten something exactly like it almost anywhere else.

Service was friendly and perfectly paced. It's quiet inside. Sorry, they do not have gender neutral bathrooms-hopefully they'll be one of the more progressive businesses in Huntsville and more people will dine in; relative to comfort. Food- they have all of the American Italian staples penne alla vodka, Branzino, fettuccine alfredo, chicken breast go on everything! But all of the WONDERFUL MORSELS we crave from Nono's hole in the wall like Stromboli, Grilled chicken salads, calzones and the big one PIZZA!!!! eats we crave from other Italian eateries are missing. (authentic). Maybe they'll upgrade that or add some new things. Most of the dishes, if not all, come with red sauce/pasta, melted cheese broiled on top, and bread. So it's the exact same dishes but different protein. I love the environment here. We were able to eat in peace. My Caesar dressing was sweet and I don't like sweet dressings. The calamari needed seasoning and to be brought out hot. I have no complaints other than the easily fixable stuff. Buddy scraped the eggplant parm plate YUM!! We plan on revisiting soon. It was good food, music needs variety. The outside may look janky but inside is certainly swanky!

The chicken and spinach filling is delicious and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad has a nice twang to it and it was very well chilled which I really prefer. The Bruschetta is my favorite appetizer and i love the olives with the balsamic glaze and cheese, it's different but very tasty. Not really a fan of the scampi or the angel hair pasta dishes since those seem to be overcooked each time, but the cannelloni really did it for me this time. The service is great, drinks were constantly being filled and wasn't in a rush to order. Each waitress/waiter has been nice and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, laid back, nothing fancy, but just a nice casual dining experience. On super busy night it can be a bit loud, but if you go early for lunch or their early bird dinner specials it's perfect.

SHE'S AWESOME!!..We gave her an extra tip jst for being so professional & for NOT calling us "BUBBA" & "HUN"..(yes I'm serious)..Honestly I'm surprised at so many younger servers who want to give customers condescending "PET" names..WHAT HAPPENED TO MA'AM AND SIR? But, when you walk through their doors the elegance and charm will take you in. Piano bar area is very nice. The decor is classic. Our waitress Mackenzie was so attentive and knowledgeable. We never had to ask for a refill it was right there. Let's get into the food! We started with the crab cakes!! Listen you better get the crab cakes! Very full layered with a fresh and rounded flavors. Next, I had the Ashley Farm chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Chicken was tender and juicy. Potatoes nicely whipped hearty and full of flavor. The sauce was light and complimented the chicken well. Steak Frites uhhhh it was so delicious!! My daughter order it and she is 10 and she could cut the steak on her own. Buttery and juicy! Truffle fries came with the steak. Lastly, my husband had the red snapper with cheddar grits! Honey he cleaned that plate. None of us left a crumb! We will definitely be back for a date night! Char will be on our regular rotation!! I hear the Brunch is Amazing!

We went to the wine dinner last night. We've been going for a couple of years now. The last dinner…read morewe went to wasn't great but we counted it as an anomaly. Last night was so bad that we will not be back. The 6:30 start actually happened at 7. We were served what was supposed to be shrimp bruschetta. It was a slice of bread, cut in half, each half topped with two unseasoned shrimp and then drowned in some kind of white gravy. It looked terribly unappetizing and didn't taste much better. These dinners are called "wine dinners". 4 courses with paired wines. The wine pours were more of a small tasting, a few sips, not anything that could be construed as a pairing. At least the Coppola wines were good. The plating of the second course, a chicken pasta dish was not even a consideration. The dish itself was ok though the artichokes were plucked from a can and just thrown onto the plate as an afterthought. The third course was a filet that was supposed to be topped with crab scampi. A handful of crab flakes and one shrimp apparently is considered crab scampi. While the filet itself was good, the accompanying zucchini was so waterlogged that everything on the plate was soaking in a puddle. The red potatoes were also disappointment - they were an odd hybrid between mashed and whole potatoes. And how can they mess up a brownie sundae with raspberries?? First, you skip the berries and serve the ice cream half melted. But to top it off, you don't give any silverware with it so when you finally can eat it, it's now a plate of soup with a stale brownie in the center. We spoke with the manager. She talked about the difficulty with staffing but the failures of the evening were more than staffing. It was diminished food quality, it was a failure to recognize a wine pairing vs wine tasting, it was carelessness, it was cost cutting. It was lack of management. The monthly wine dinners always guaranteed we'd have at least one date night a month. Any ideas?
