I can't say enough good things about Vista dental on their transparency practices, how kind and professional their staff is. This is definitely my dentist moving forward for me and my family. Finally feels like I found a trustworthy place. In terms of service, I had plenty of cavities to fill and I didn't feel a thing. He even kept asking me how I was doing and if I needed a break. Their waiting room is clean and videos are very educational, too. Dr Reza reviewed my x-rays and suggested treatment(s). Everything was completely on board and I felt no pressure regarding his suggestions. The follow-up visit involved repairing (3) of my existing resin tooth fillings (which I already knew were an issue) which has now been completed and I can't be any happier with the outcome of my experience. The only suggestion that I have is that additional signing for the (2) entrances at the back of the building from the parking lot would be helpful. When I asked the front desk clerk whether patients regularly consumed them in the waiting room she confirmed that, yes they do. When asked whether the waiting room was regularly cleaned to assess how much of a risk my child was in sitting in the chairs, she said they clean once daily. The staff did not seem concerned about the risk to my child. They also did not seem educated in preventing allergic reactions for future patients. The clinic was clean and the staff were polite albeit uneducated in food allergies. Those with a tree nut allergy be warned.

Prior to scheduling my appointment, I spoke directly with the dentist, Dr. Lee regarding a chipped front tooth that I have had bonded since I was 8 years old. I explained that my primary reason for becoming a new patient was to have the bonding evaluated and repaired, in addition to receiving routine X-rays and a cleaning. During that phone conversation, the dentist assured me that he performs bonding and indicated that it would not be an issue, although he would need to evaluate the tooth first. On the day of my appointment, I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. After reviewing my X-rays and examining my tooth, the dentist immediately began recommending a crown or veneer. I clearly stated that I was not interested in either option and wished to continue with bonding, as I have successfully done for many years. At that point, his explanation became confusing. He stated that he would need to make a mold and send it to a lab, which did not align with my understanding of a standard bonding repair. I directly asked about his experience and comfort level with bonding procedures. He ultimately admitted that he was not comfortable performing the bonding because there was existing bonding material on the tooth and he could not easily distinguish where my natural tooth ended and the previous bonding began. I then asked directly whether he was refusing to perform the bonding because my tooth already had bonding material on it, and he confirmed that was the case. What made this especially frustrating is that I had specifically discussed this exact situation with him the day before my appointment. Had he been honest and forthcoming about his limitations or lack of comfort with this type of bonding repair, I would have sought care elsewhere and avoided wasting my time, taking time off work, and sitting through an appointment that was never going to address my actual concern and well over my appointment time. Instead, I left feeling misled and pressured toward more expensive treatment options such as a crown or veneer that I had already stated I did not want. There is nothing wrong with recommending alternative treatments, but patients deserve transparency from the beginning. If a dentist is unwilling or unable to perform a procedure, that should be communicated before scheduling an appointment not after the patient has already invested their time and money. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this office based on my experience.
