    Dave's Auto did a state annual inspection for my car in April, and the car failed inspection. I…read morethen had a 60-day period to have it reinspected at the same location for free, or be required to pay again for a new inspection. Because it was not initially clear what code was causing the check engine light, I had to drive the car long distances after each repair was made, until eventually the check engine light stayed off. I called Dave's Auto each morning to ask for help with diagnosing and repairing the car, each time they would tell me yes, I could bring the car in that morning. I would show up within 20 minutes only to be told they could not take my car and to come back again the next day. In order to get the work done in a timely way with better communication, I ended up taking the car to other mechanics for diagnosis and repair. In June when the repairs were finally completed and all was set for reinspection, I called Dave's Auto to ask them to reinspect my car. They told me their machine was broken and to call back the next day. When I called back again, I was told the machine would not be repaired until after my 60-day period was over. Since their machine was broken and they were not able to provide the standard free reinspection, I asked them if they would give me a refund for the original inspection they did, and they said no. While some of their customer service was good, some of it was unhelpful or rude, and overall they did not resolve my problem or communicate effectively.
