I started researching on Yelp and read a lot of great reviews for several local companies. But one company stood out just a bit more which I decided to inquire with: Golden Oak Tree Care. At first I used the Yelp messaging to initiate contact with Reynaldo, the owner, but soon switched to text messaging. He was very quick to respond to my inquiries, needs and pricing after I sent (upon his request) photographs of the nine trees that needed attention. We agreed upon a very reasonable price, then set up a date and time for him and his crew to perform the work. My wife was home so she met the two gentleman that work with Reynaldo. They arrived at the designated timeframe and were very cordial and polite according to my wife. They quickly went to our backyard to prep for their trimming. Reynaldo arrived shortly afterwards but before I arrived home from work. Upon arrival I met him and his crew. All three were really cool and answered all of my questions regarding the types of services they do besides tree care and what they do not do. That was really great news for me since I have several more landscaping projects I can request Reynaldo and his crew to help me out with. Reynald inquired with me if I would like my shrubbery trimmed as well. After deciding which shrubs needed attention, he indicated the additional amount to our original agreed upon amount, to which I agreed to and requested he take care of our shrubs. Jerry provided us with excellent service, including his office staff giving us a COI and their license information which we requested. Communication with ST Tree Services was also wonderful! The entire team showed up on time and worked hard to get all of our trees trimmed in 1 1/2 days! In that time, they also did hillside clean-up in our backyard, as well as raked and hauled away all trimmings, large branches, etc. We are truly impressed with ST Tree Services and will be hiring them again for more tree trimming needed on our property. I hired Eric to locate and remove some roots that were cracking some cement work and going under my…read morehouse. I also planned to have some hedges removed and 3 trees trimmed. Although the roots were difficult to locate and it was a hit and miss type thing, Eric was able to locate the culprit roots that were causing the damage. He had to remove a few large bricks near the porch and then he was able to dig down far enough to cut and remove the roots. He then replaced the bricks and put the dirt back in and the lifted part was now level. Eric also trimmed 3 trees. He climbed each tree, located branches that were bad and cut a lot that were bad or causing problems. Before cutting anything, he made a visual check of several branches for signs of disease or fungus and removed them Overall, Eric did more than he planned for the same price he quoted. Later, he was able to come over to our house for an in-person look at what needed to be done, and his quote was very reasonable, so we signed then and there. He came the very next day, right after the rain stopped, to start work, and he completed everything in about 3 hours. He filled in the holes, cleaned everything up, and left our front yard looking good. Now, there were a total of 8 stumps to take out. One of them was a particularly gnarly thing that was squatting grumpily between a sprinkler and our water valves. I was pretty sure that stump had already punched through a sprinkler line underground...either that, or I figured taking it out might mean breaking a sprinkler or valve since that stump was just so close to everything. Eric brought me over to take a look - and that stump had been so *carefully* removed. Amazingly, the roots hadn't punctured through anything, and Eric had done some very precision work on getting that stump out so that sprinklers, valves, pipes, and wires were all untouched. It was impressive stuff. Oh and he also trimmed our overgrown tree, and it looks nice again. We'll definitely call on him again in the future for more work.
