We ordered mussels for my appetizer...I love mussels but these looked so bad I couldn't take a bite. They were also $15.. Idk how they have 4.2 stars on Google. You don't put cheese on seafood. My girlfriend wanted coke 0 and they don't have it they have summit cola instead. This was red flag #1. I didn't take a bite. We had to just get the check and go. We left and went to Aladdin's and it was great

Small restaurant in Hudson that features Italian food. The place is comfortable and reasonably quiet. A good crowd on a Thursday night was nice to see. I ordered the linguine puttanesca. A delicious and flavorful take on the pantry dish that you don't see often on menus. I love it and this was an enjoyable meal. Friends had the daily special: shrimp and lobster stir fry which they both enjoyed. No drinks or desserts this night. Service was excellent and all servers were hustling. I'd definitely return.

Someone call the police. I was robbed. Charging for the food we were served is criminal. I DID learn some Italian while I was there. Apparently "Gourmet Pizza" is Italian for dog food. Literally the worst pizza dough I've ever seen in an Italian restaurant. It's not even dough....pre-made. Embarrassing. I don't even think a grocery store sells pre-made dough as bad as this. Terrible. Took 1 bite of an entire pizza and left it there. Disgusting. I felt bad for the poor server who has to see unhappy faces all day long and risk tips on what comes out of that place. Pasta and sauce...crazy bland. Small portion. Only item worth eating again....an arugula salad thrown on a plate with balsamic dressing. Well done Tomato Grill. Ya' killed it. Drinks: mixed drink w/ vodka? Awful. My beer? It was good. If you want something more than a salad and a beer....go literally anywhere else.

    Greens salad. Half size! Delicious

Food was just okay but not wow. Wine was good. Service was abysmal. Not real authentic Italian.

Whenever we have a taste for authentic Italian cooking not made by the In-laws D'Angelo's is our go to place. In the 15 + years that we have either dined or purchased takeout we have NEVER had a bad meal! I do not understand some of the other reviews on Yelp. The good people at D'Angelo's take great pride in every meal they prepare. The food is always delicious, hot, and enough extra for leftovers for the next day. D'Angelo's always brings a warm smile to my face and that satisfaction you get when you've eaten a fantastic meal. I'm going to end up with a bald head from scratching so much!!! I don't get it. Their oysters have more flavor and are priced more reasonably. -if you're thinking of going to Russo's for steak or Italian food go to Porta Rossa instead. The ingredients are better quality and the food tastes much better. Our waitress and the hostess at Russo's were ineffective. The manager was combative, unprofessional, unapologetic, and very rude. She told us they were in the business of making money. The owner was not sympathetic to our situation and empowered the manager to treat customers poorly. They made no effort to try and offer us any discounts or adjustments to the check after all the errors and rude behavior. Loud atmosphere, slow and poor service, bad management and, overpriced and subpar food. Save yourself from having your own bad experience at Russo's. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I find it hard to believe our situation was an isolated incident.

Its a women-owned business, too. Woot woot! Viva Bene has an inspired, well-organized wine selection and extremely cute accompanying accessories. From wine picnic baskets to cocktail napkins and unique corkscrews, one could assemble a truly gorgeous gift here. The next time I'm in need of a sophisticated gift for my entertaining and vino loving friends, I am immediately coming here. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The manager gave me great wine suggestions before I settled on a mid-priced Rosé from their cooler. Viva Bene also carries a section of speciality foods like noodles, sauces, soups and other gourmet condiments. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't get to dive in thoroughly, but again, a stellar collection of food products. Viva Bene Gourmet is truly one of those rare local shoppes that makes me feel like I can be a 5-star chef, even if my reality is more setting off fire alarms.
