Carlo's is so much more than just a pizzeria, their food is not to be missed. They have an extensive menu but our favorite go-to item is the cold seafood salad. It's clean, light, and full of fresh seafood that is seasoned and dressed to perfection every single time. They have quite the group of regulars that lets you know they're doing something right, and their staff is always so friendly. Carlos has some menu items from the old Aegean restaurant in the Sunvet mall. They make the pizza and have the salad dressing for the Greek salad. Some of the employees also have moved over here. It is nice to see some familiar faces. It's nothing fancy, but has traditional pizza place seating as well as a restaurant side with a bar. It is a great place to try some of your old favorites or to go when your schedule is busy and you want some "real food" to eat quick. They have a parking lot which is usually easy to find parking unless the dance studio in the building has classes. read more

In a recent visit with several friends we sat at a booth in the bar area. The food is decent, service fine. They have several TVs in the bar area. I go there about twice monthly with a friend or alone since it's close to home. I have never been there when Fox news is not on one of the TVs. I understand or so it seems the clientele are majority conservative which is fine. But they do get people who are either Democrats or apolitical. This is a public restaurant and if the owner(s) are big conservatives fine. But keep it out of your business. I know they have lost patronage for exactly that reason. read more

Not even deserving of one star. Horrific customer service, mediocre food at best and over priced. One time I walked in to order a couple of slices right at 9 pm. Lights were on, door was open pizza was on counter. Upon ordering the slices one gentleman threw them in the oven while the other told me no they are closing. I said I'll take to go and he then said he already shut credit card machine down and I offered cash and he became highly agitated. I asked why he was so angry about me ordering and paying for 2 slices and he told me to get the f*ck out and even raised a fist. Never have gone back and never will and tell all my friends and family not to either. Shameful and unfortunate to treat customers like this. And we all live in Holbrook. read more

This place has been getting expensive over the last couple of years, but tonight was ridiculous. We've had a couple of not so great experiences recently, but because of being a single parent with 3 kids in sports, Carlos of Holbrook won the dinner nod tonight. I paid $54 for a meatball pie and 1, yes 1, chicken parm hero. What are they charging? $35 for a pie and $20 for a hero. Absurd. I wouldn't have even wrote this review if the food was good. It was quite the opposite. The meatballs on the pizza were reminiscent of the brown balled up meatball you would get from a generic frozen pizza down any grocery store frozen aisle. The chicken in the $25 hero was so chewy that I had to throw it out after only a couple of bites. The sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. I don't know if they changed owners or not, but in a town loaded with pizzerias, this place has gone way down hill. Very disappointing. read more

Had a very unpleasant experience with one of the owners who wouldn't give his name. I called up to question the 65 dollar charge for 2 plain cheese pies. There was a credit card fee which two other local pizzeria don't charge. It was never disclosed to me when I ordered over the phone for delivery. Owner was arrogant complaining about rising costs and that he's still the best deal around. I called around and his pies are 6-7 dollars more each.He had the audacity to say why should I absorb the credit card charge when you're using it for your convenience. When you order over the phone, what other choice is there? Come to find out that it's illegal to charge the fee without informing the caller, and it's illegal to charge a fee when it's a debit card, which is what I used. They have lost my business. Their pizza is just ok, they happen to be a convenient option. Will never go there or order from them again! Total ripoff! Yeah. No. Never. Again. This was the first time we went to this place and the welcome... was not welcoming to say the least. The young lady at the register did not look pleased to assist us at all. We placed our order with her anyway and she gave us a ridiculous total for a cheese pie and some garlic knots. When I questioned her about it, it went downhill from there. Instead of telling us what she did wrong, she called someone else over - who seemed to be the owner or manager not sure - and the experience got worse from there. They were unorganized as he had other receipts in his hand, then proceeded to charge us for what we actually ordered without issuing a refund for the first order. The young lady proceeded to say that we will see the refund "later on or tomorrow" without giving a receipt as proof of refund. I asked for the refund to be completed now, and to provide us with a receipt as proof that it was completed. The gentleman who was assisting her became more irritated, showing that he was not pleased with us demanding the proof of refund. There was also a gentleman picking up a DoorDash that he ordered and he was waiting just as long as us. One of the other employees was kind in her apologies to him for the wait, but the minute he left - she sarcastically yelled out "Happy Easter" and "why would he order through door dash?" Then proceeded to mimic his "just cancel it" comment because he was upset it took 30 minutes for them to tell him they never received his order. As military veterans who were referred to the establishment by fellow vets, we will never go back. We saw who were treated with happy greetings and well... no one else was treated any less besides us. God bless my husband because he still left them a tip. However don't let the name fool you as it's not just a pizza joint, nor is it owned or managed by a guy named Carlos. It has a full service bar/restaurant and while the menu is a bit overwhelming, the food is consistently good considering all they offer. The pizza itself isn't bad but it's not the best I've ever had. The selling point by far is the bar experience. It's kept extremely neat and well managed. With a decent variety of beer on tap and more liquors than I've ever seen for a bar this size. Placed an order through door dash, Carlo's confirmed/accepted the order, took the payment and stated the order was complete. When the driver when to pick the order up they were locking the doors and told him they did not have any orders. So in a nutshell they accepted the order, took payment and did not fulfill it and took 30 mins for me to get a call from the driver telling me the situation. So now there is no dinner coming and the driver who is out in the middle of this crisis is not getting paid either. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else if you actually want to eat dinner.
