They have a great variety of items on their menu, but when I saw the tuna melt, I had to try it. The lady who helped me was super friendly, and honestly, she may have made the best tuna melt I've ever had. I'd definitely rank it in my top five favorites. The sourdough was toasted just right, the large portion of tuna was perfectly seasoned, and the cheese, lettuce, avocado, and tomato all blended together so well. It was refreshing and delicious from start to finish. The place is a little tucked away inside a small center, so it's not something you'll spot right off the street. So happy we found the place. They are there 40 years and I never seen the place. It has a nice unique atmosphere and a great service. The food is delicious and fresh. The ladies who work there (which seems they are a family), are so sweet, kind and very friendly. I came with my twin son and the girlfriend. For me, I lost my grandma not too long ago, and coming here and feeling the warmth of the lovely lady behind the counter really reminded me of enjoying a homemade meal made by my grandmother. And that's a compliment, she was a damn good cook! She even insisted that I have my meal first and pay later. I had a delicious lentil soup, a caesar salad, and a well crafted sandwich that seemed to be made with fresh ingredients. There were sprouts on mine, which was a first. The texture of the sprouts complimented the bite of salad I would take after bites of my sandwich. The soup helped wash everything down and was helpful in keeping me warm during this windy day. My favorite part of the whole thing was when she surprised us with an ice cream swirl. Talk about grandma levels of service! Everything that has been ordered from this restaurant has always been a hit by the teachers I work with. The owner, Lucy is always so kind and lovely to talk to.
