This is such a neat little spot! It settles into its name quite well, as it is tucked away under interesting architectural offices. I only experienced their iced Carmel coffee, which was phenomenal and exactly what I needed! We were in the area scooting for options if we possibly move. If we find ourselves in Woodland, I will consider this my go-to spot! We hope to see you again soon!

Located inside a business park up a side street on Ventura Blvd, Hideout Cafe is a small cafe with a handful of tables inside and the majority of their seating on the patio, which is lovely under lots of shade trees. Ordering is upfront at the counter, you'll pay for your order and be given a number to take to your table. We ordered a Hideout Breakfast Burrito and the Ricotta pancakes with eggs and sausage (or bacon). We chose a table inside as it was quite windy this morning. Both plates came out within 10 min minutes I'd say. Both were tasty and filling. Pancakes were small-medium sized and came topped with berries and some very homemade tasing whipped cream and the sausage was so flavorful! The burrito came stuffed with eggs, potatoes, cheese. Price was pretty on point for the pancake combo plate as $18 is fairly standard but the $17 for the burrito may have been a tad high. I know it's hard to get an economical breakfast these days, so I do get it. The people working there were incredibly polite and it was a great experience. The cafe serves coffees and smoothies as well as pastries. They have an espresso machine but don't do regular drip coffee, just FYI.

We recently visited hidden kitchen. We were tired of going to our usual spots and found this "hidden" gem on Yelp. We never would have even known it was there just driving by. They have a pretty diverse menu and with sandwiches, you get your choice of delicious sides. It's counter service for the ordering but we found the table service to be surprisingly attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu offerings

Breakfast and more breakfast! What a spot and the name truly fits the location. It's a hideout full of great food and service. First you need try their Breakfast Plate which is Eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, fruit & toast. You could also get it with pancakes as well. The flavors are outstandingly good. Another must have is their Lox Bagel which is Smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, cucumber, capers & dill. Now you may ask, what beverage do I pair these items with? Let me break this down. The French Vanilla, Mocha, Chai, Matcha, Hot Chocolate, Iced Tea, or Press Coffee would go well with any of these items. Their smoothies are also on point as you could get a Tropical, Strawberry Banana, Banana Protein, or Mango. The ambience is always good as you feel as you are in a hideout cafe.

Saturday morning breakfast at Hideout cafe was great! It's a small business located inside a business complex, but it's easily accessible and there is plenty of seating. You order items at the register yourself like at any cafe so please don't expect to be received by a server! In terms of food, we ordered the house burrito and Ricotta pancakes off the menu. Both dishes were well prepared and we enjoyed every bit of them! There was also plenty of food for a breakfast, we felt stuffed:) Prices are reasonable but probably a few dollars higher than at a comparable cafe nearby (thin Diner prices). In summary, I recommend it! Give them a try and you might just love what they have to offer! Nice music too!

I tried one of their all natural smoothies. It was a solid 9/10. I love how there are no extra additives or sugars. I will definitely be back to try their food next time. The location of this cafe is also very fitting for the name. Nestled away in the ground level courtyard of a business building. A beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy your morning and afternoon with a wonderful cafe within reach

If breakfast/brunch is what you are looking for come here. The food is delicious, my breakfast burrito very fulfilling. Potatoes on the side with grilled oñions wow, it hit the spot! With a nice ice double shot vanilla latte. What else could you want?! Service very friendly and nice hideout from the busy street cafes/ brunch spots around.

Tuna melt with side of pasta salad, delicious!
    Lauren C.

Had the most lovely experience in this serene space with our delicious meal. I was visiting from out of town and randomly craving a tuna melt sandwich. My sister had been to the Hideout a few weeks prior and recommended them as an option for lunch. When we arrived it was about an hr to closing. I ordered the tuna sandwich and asked if they could make it into a melt and Fredi the owner, who was taking my order, said they could accommodate my request! My sister and I wanted to both include our dishes with a side of pasta salad, however they were sold out so we had to select another side option. When the food was brought out, Fredi had apparently cooked a fresh batch of pasta salad just for us and brought it out with the rest of the food. It was so kind of him to do that. We enjoyed our meal in the peaceful atmosphere of the covered patio space. Quiet, cool, and peaceful, it was such a relaxing place to eat. The food was absolutely delicious, simple and healthy tasting but packed with flavor. Fredi was the one to bring out food and we had a nice chat with him about how he started his business. You can truly tell he put his heart and passion into this place. The service is exceptional and you can tell Fredi really cares about every patron who comes to this space. I'm so glad my sister found this "hidden" gem. If only I lived closer I would frequent this everyday!

    Avocado Toast

Let me start by saying the customer service at Hideout Cafe was out of this world! I actually got lost trying to find the place, and the gentleman who helped me--his name might have been Fredi (my receipt shows F.R.R.)--took the time to give me step-by-step driving directions over the phone. When I arrived, I was greeted with a big smile and my food was ready. I ordered the avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious! The portion was generous and it even came with a nice side of fresh fruit. Great service, great food, and a wonderful experience overall. I'll definitely be coming back. If you're in Woodland Hills, give Hideout Cafe a try!

A little pasta salad and some cabbage salad on top.
    Monica S.

Specific for Too Good to Go. Bought a $5.99 box, supposed to be for $18 worth of food. It was just a single box of some pasta salad and cabbage salad on top. It was clearly not worth the advertised $18 price. They either don't understand the app or they are purposely stiffing people. The actual premises were very nice and the quality of the 3 bites of food was good lol

    Chilaquiles Verdes with Steak
    Crystal K.

I was so exited to try this as the concept of the hideaway cafe was cute, the pictures of the food looked good, and it had great reviews. I ordered the steak chilaquiles and the breakfast burrito. Both did not hit and missed the mark. I was disappointed. The salsa was too sour and everything else was a bit too salty and lacking in flavor.

Crossiant Croissant French Toast plate Chilaquiles Verdes With Steak Horchata latte

My wife and I were looking for a place to get breakfast with our dog. We found hideout cafe online and were so happy. Fredi was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. It is hidden away which is fitting for the name. It was quiet and peaceful and had outdoor seating. So this is perfect for dogs and kids. Our meal was excellent and tasted so good! My wife got the horchata latte and loved it! You can tell fredi cares about his customers and quality of food. We will definitely be back!

If your looking for a real sub look no further A friend…read moretold me about Cricca's Deli & being a big fan of Sub's I had to check this place out. Let just start with Cricca's Deli makes some seriously well-crafted sandwiches. The quality really stands out -- generous portions of meat, fresh vegetables, and great attention to detail in every bite. You have several choices of bread, and I went with the soft roll, which tasted bakery-fresh and was the perfect match for the sandwich. The large subs are truly large -- easily big enough to share between two people. If you're looking for a deli sandwich made with fresh ingredients and generous portions, Cricca's is definitely worth a visit. If you in the area or looking for a high quality sandwich you have to check this place out - you will not be disappointed. I'll be back For Sure

Ok. I've seen this place online and thought to myself "if I'm ever in Woodland Hills, I'm going…read morehere". Well.....today was the day. It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

Hey, hate me for my ways, but blood is blood and I'm going to run with this Italian thing for as long as I can. And just as my "old Italian Nonna" might have said, had I actually had one...
