While my initial experience was not good, someone within the business reached out to me in an attempt to make things right. They apologized for the way that things were handled and explained that it is not typical practice for them. I would agree based on my previous experiences with them. They also offered me a credit compensation to allow them the opportunity to make things better. The credit is great but I was more just happy that the situation was acknowledged. I am very happy with the way that they handled themselves in response so I have changed my rating to reflect that. read more

The quality of ingredients used compared to big fast brands justifies the tasty flavors of the pizzas sold here. No problems with deliveries or pickups. Staff is absolutely friendly. My boyfriend worked at the original Village Pizza for years as a teenager, a little while back Village changed hands, but kept the name. They were okay, but not awesome and they didn't last too long. When we saw a couple weeks ago that a new pizzeria, with a new name had moved in, we had to try it. I had a pesto chicken wrap, and he had a chicken cutlet type sandwich, and we both really enjoyed them. Everything was made fresh, my boyfriend watched as she cooked the chicken, and everything was delicious. We snagged a couple pieces of pizza to go as well so we could try it before we committed to a larger pizza at a later date. I was literally ecstatic to find that the pizza is the neapolitan thin crust style, which I've been longing for for what seems like decades. So we went back a week later for pizzas. We had the Milano (tomatoes, mozz, spinach, bacon, and gorgonzola) and it's awesome, I love it. I'm eating my leftovers right now. I will say though, that with any pizza with more than one or two toppings, you may have to employ use of a fork. We also ordered the meat lovers, which I only had a bite of, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. If you're in the area definitely stop by for lunch or pick up a pizza to go. Both their subs/wraps, and pizzas are awesome. We live close by, so this will definitely be one of our new go-to's for sure. read more

My new spot, tried it after a co worker recommended it. I got a steak combo sub, and while I waited tried a cheese slice of pizza, yes they do slices. And they are huge slices it's pretty much 1/4 of a pizza, for $4.00 can't go wrong. The pizza is something like a New York style pizza. Thin crust and huge. You could tell the pizza was handmade, dough was soft and had a nice little crisp to it. They make the food pretty much right in front of you which is nice. The steak and cheese was pretty good, comparable to country pizza down the road. The inside is nice. They spruced it up with fresh paint and decor. Everyone there is very friendly. Great little pizzeria with some pretty good New York style pizza. You will definitely not be disappointed unless you are a pizza snob looking artisan quality. I have not tried anything but their pizza, but from what I saw it looked like fresh ingredients made well. Here is my pizza breakdown: The Pizza: Texture: 9/10 The pizza held together nicely, no oozing. Everything was fully cooked. Near perfect here. Not too doughy, with a bit of crisp. Crust: 8/10 They do a great, reliable job on the crust. It always tastes good, pizza always has no "bubbles" because they knock them all out. The reason this is not a ten is because the taste is not perfect (as it really can't be without using natural yeast imho...although I recognize this would be unusual for this style pizza). I suspect they are using too much cornmeal or semolina for my taste. Cheese: 7/10 The cheese had a really good flavor, and not too strong- just as I like it. Tasted like mostly mozzarella with some other cheeses added for flavoring. Nothing too special, it tastes just as it should. Sauce: 6/10 The sauce was nothing really special for me, but I think it is by no means bad. Seasoning in the sauce seemed a bit light (not necessarily a bad thing), but whatever tomatoes they are using are not compensating for it. Good flavor... could be so much better. Mouth Feel: 6/10 "The inside of your cheeks are very sensitive. It's like the inside of your thighs, except with a tongue." Mouth feel is not ideal, I would work on this a bit. The Service: Not much to say here, its your standard pizza shop front end with a few small tables. Everyone was perfectly professional. Great experience. I will add that it is always cool to see the oven right up front as they do, watching fresh hot pizza come out is faaaaaaantastic. read more

Very glad to have this place move in as I prefer thin crust Neapolitan style pizza over the greek style that was there previously. Sauce was not overly sweet and the crust was quite good. We'll be back. read more

I live a stones throw from the Pizzeria and have now found the best Pizzeria I have eaten in. I have been there several times now and cannot express my admiration of how clean and well set up the restaurant is. I always look if possible at the cooking areas, stoves etc. In this case I cannot give any less that "five stars". The owner and his wife are ready and willing to make your experience there a memorable one. I have my favorite thin crust pizza's already. Just the other day I had the eggplant parm & the pulled pork sub's!!!!!!!! add them to my favorites. If you want a good choice of pizza and a host of other fare, you have to stop and begin the journey of tasting all their offerings!!!!!!. I would agree with the previous reviews. Pizza used to be amazing. Key word, "used to". We just ordered two large pizzas, and we are so disgusted. From what was once my favorite pizza places, is now my least. Poor quality, ingredients and presentation. I swear they went to Cumberland Farms and had the pizzas made and then delivered them. Awful. If I could give it zero stars I would!! I ordered a large meat lovers pizza and buffalo wings and it took over two hours to be delivered!! I live less than 2 miles from this location and after numerous calls to check on the status of my pizza delivery, I was told every single time "driver is on the way, be there in 10 minutes" I finally called to cancel the order. The manager told me that I cannot get a refund because I had used my debit card, but I can instead apply it to a future purchase! I was furious!! I absolutely had no intention of EVER ordering anything from this place and my kids were tired of waiting for the never coming pizza. I had spent $37 and they were not going to refund it so I had no choice but to wait. The pizza finally arrived (2hrs and 7min... I timed it) and it was cold and old. No apologies from the lady who delivered but a simple "we'll give you a gift next time you order"!! This was my first time and definitely the last time I will order from Tomatoes pizza. I don't want your "gift" I will take my service else where. An apology would have gone a long way and maybe include the "gift" now instead of later...and a hot pizza would have been very welcome instead of the nasty, old and cold pizza that you brought to my door! What a waste of my time and money! Never again!! I'll stick to papa John's pizza! They deliver on time and if they screw up they fix it immediately! read more

Our favorite local pizza place that we go to often. The people behind the counter are always welcoming and friendly. Their salads are large with very fresh ingredients, and they separate the freshly cooked chicken from the rest of the salad when we order grilled chicken caesars. No wilted lettuce from hot chicken sitting directly on the salad and set up perfectly to order now and enjoy the next day. The pizza is exceptional, the signature pizzas are creative and delicious. We've never been anything but completely satisfied with anything we've ordered here until our last visit this past week. Ordered a large pizza and three salads, got the pizza home and the bottom of the crust was burned black on about half. It was late and we didn't want to deal with the whole calling to ask for a replacement thing, so we enjoyed the pizza that was salvageable and tossed the rest. We will check the crust before leaving Tomatoes on future visits, and we definitely will be back. It was most likely just an off night for them as we hadn't encountered this before. read more

I called and ordered delivery, their Classic Italian Pizza and Buffalo Tenders. They were quick to answer, polite, and helpful, delivery was quick and the food was excellent, a step well above the standard mom & pop pizza place. Perfect crust, fresh ingredients, full of flavor, just delicious. Even the buffalo tenders weren't some cheap breaded thing they were fresh cut chicken breast and appeared to be pan-cooked and covered in seasoning, also excellent. Tried this for the first time tonight and I've found my new go to pizza shop. The girl who took my order was very professional and friendly. Pizza was finished 20 minutes after I called, just as they said. The pizza itself was delicious, better than any I've had in the area. This sentiment was echoed by my wife and two very picky kids. I thought the pricing was very fair/competitive, it was certainly worth every penny compared to the local Papa Johns (yuck). Very happy we have a good pizza shop in our area. Tomatoes is a very good thin crust New York style pizza. I've been to Italy and I've spent time in Manhattan and Tomatoes does a very good job reproducing a traditional thin crust pizza. Crispy crust with a nice chew. Simple tomato sauce that compliments the rest of the ingredients. Premium toppings and a lot of them. Maybe too many toppings for the thin crust but I won't complain. With all the toppings and a thin crust you will have to perform the New York pizza fold in order to keep all the toppings on the slice. We ordered the Meat Lovers, Rosas pizza and Cajun pasta. Both pizzas were great. Also, as stated in another review anything over two to three toppings will cause the center of the pizza to become soft due to the moisture of the toppings. I'm thinking on our next visit we will limit the number of toppings to three or less, as they do in Italy, in order to get a better thin crust experience. Cajun chicken pasta is also very good. Large pieces of chicken breast in a nice creamy sauce with a lot of heat! Im looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more

There are a lot of pizza and sub shops in this area and they are all pretty much the same. Not bad. Pretty good for pizza and subs. Tomatoes is above average. If you want above average local pizza shop type of food, go to Tomatoes. Everything I've had from them, from their chicken salad wrap, to their steak tip salad to their pizza has been better than average. I heartily recommend this place. The people who work there are very nice and friendly as well. They even waved the delivery charge when they knew they were delivering to me while I was at work. Month ago, I ordered large Milano pizza and buffalo wings and the pizza was great. The whole family agreed with me that was the best pizza in the town.......Couple days ago I ordered again buffalo wings for $8.99 and this time we want try other kind of pizza, so we ordered Sicilian pizza for $15.99. My grandson doesn't like mushrooms and red peppers, so I asked the person if will be possible to substitute the mushrooms with olives and the red peppers with spinach, which the person, who took said it is okay, to change the toppings. When I picked the pizza, the bill of over $30.00 seems to me a little higher, so I asked the person what happen. He told me they took the mushrooms and red pepper away and substituted with the black cut olives and spinach and that it cost me, $4.00 more, which surprise me, since they just change the toppings not adding..... what to say? Pizza from this place is really tasty, but after this experience, I have bitter aftertaste and no more pizza for us from this place. read more
