Beautiful Rubicon 392 Final Edition Jeep.
    Dawn F.

Not a good experience. Went in yesterday, 3/28, to check out the 2026 Moab 392. Test drove it, liked it, ready to make a deal. I asked him about Memorial Day sales and maybe it would be better to buy at that time. He told me that it was "truck month" and the deals are better now. Okay. On their website the price is 85k with a 10k dealer discount, making the price around $75k. Sticker price, on the vehicle, was the same, 85k. Told the sales guy we would finance or pay cash, whichever gave us the best rebates and/or discounts. Didn't matter to us one way or another. Best out the door price was what we wanted. Same as anyone buying a vehicle, right? So this guy comes back and tells us "I didn't know this but we sell these 15k OVER sticker price" but they will go back to the $85k, just for you, and proceeds to give me a price of $96,931. I just looked at him like he was out of his mind. I told him that made absolutely no sense at all. The sticker price is $85k and the dealer discount is $10k. He needed to take another look at that as we had already been to a few other places, same vehicle, and the price was comparable to the $85k sticker price, minus some dealer discounts, but no one had the color I was wanting. So he leaves and some dude comes back, says he's the director of sales (eye roll) and very cocky says the $96k is the best price, bottom line. I tell him that on their own website, it shows different. He tells us he DOESN'T KNOW what the website shows, they don't handle the website. I tell him okay well that's not what is on the sticker, on the vehicle. He says he DOESN'T KNOW what is on the sticker. By this time it is very apparent this man DOESN'T KNOW anything about Tomball Jeep or how to deal with a customer. He proceeded to tell me , twice, that last year they were selling for $120k and people were buying them. I don't give a rats rear about last year, this is THIS year, and THIS vehicle. I told him exactly that and that we were not paying $96k and would go somewhere else. He stood up and said, very rude, "okay bye". So guess what we did. Went to Mak Haik North and got a much better vehicle, the Rubicon 392 Final Edition, for LESS than this yahoo tried to charge me for a Moab. Yes you read that right. Man, I had an Angel on my side last night. From the time we got there at 7:50 pm, it took an hour and 15 minutes for them to get it down off the stand, to make a VERY fair deal, sign the paperwork and be on our way with our brand new Rubicon 392 Final Edition Jeep. My advice to Tomball Jeep, invest in some training for your employees. We are just one of many you lose when they pull those shenanigans. Even if you lose one sell a day, 6 days a week, for a year.....that's significant, in my opinion. But who am I? Oh that's right, I'm the happy as heck owner of a new Rubicon 392 Final Edition Jeep, bought from your competitor 1 hour after being treated poorly at your location. Do better!

    My conversation with the salesperson.

If you value your time, don't waste it here. I recently submitted an application requesting information on a vehicle. They called me, and I was straightforward: I told them I have a preapproval for a specific amount and asked if they were willing to sell the vehicle at that price. The salesperson said she needed to check with her manager and would get back to me. I told her I was heading back to work and asked her to text me the manager's response. She agreed. About 10 minutes later, I received a text saying the manager said: "We can work with your preapproval." To me, that sounded like they were accepting the offer--apparently not. Because of that message, I moved my appointment up from the next morning at 9:30 to immediately, thinking I was about to finally buy a RHO (I've been looking for 5 months). When I arrived, there were five men standing outside the front door. One asked if he could help me. I told him I was there to see the woman I spoke with, but I didn't get her name. He asked my name, went inside, then came back and told me to sit down--then asked how he could help me. I asked where the woman was, and he told me he didn't know and said it "could've been AI." That alone was a huge red flag. I explained everything again and told him I was ready to buy. He insisted I test drive the truck, so I did. During the test drive, he kept asking about my credit and approvals. I told him I wasn't interested in running anything else--I'm satisfied with my preapproval terms. After the test drive, he said, "Let's get this closed out," then walked to the back. When he came back, he told me he couldn't sell it for the price we discussed and that it would actually be $6,000 more than what I came in expecting. At that point, I was literally adding the truck to my insurance, so that was extremely disappointing. I closed my laptop, thanked him, and left. After I left, I called the dealership to speak with the sales manager because I wanted to understand what "we can work with your preapproval" is supposed to mean, since there's clearly a disconnect. The receptionist told me they were "all busy" and someone would call me back. The lot was not busy--there were multiple employees standing around and only a few customers inside. And guess who still hasn't returned my call? This is not how you do business. Complete waste of time. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Markups are insane You can get my contact information off of my guest sheet I left with Pierre, if you ever want to return my call.

From the moment I arrived, I felt constant pressure from both the sales representative and the finance manager. I was at the dealership for nearly five hours, and the majority of that time felt uncomfortable and rushed rather than informative or customer-focused. During financing, I was sold a LoJack system that cost several thousand dollars. No one explained how to use it, set it up, or demonstrated any of its features. At this point, it is completely useless to me. If I cannot use a product I was pressured into purchasing, I believe reimbursement or proper support is the bare minimum. Since the purchase, I have reached out to three different team members seeking help or clarification and have received no response. The lack of follow-up and accountability is unacceptable and reflects very poor customer service. I genuinely do not understand how others leave such positive reviews, because my experience was the opposite. I would not recommend this dealership based on the pressure tactics and the complete lack of post-sale support.

I called ahead, gave my VIN, referenced recall PC068, and explained exactly what was going on. I scheduled what I was told would be a recall repair. When I arrived, it was set up as a diagnostic instead, which felt like a breakdown in communication and process. After that experience, I left pretty frustrated. The next day, Robert Quarles, the Service Director, called me personally. He had actually listened to the original call and acknowledged that I had been told the recall was open. That mattered. He didn't deflect or argue. He owned it. We had a direct conversation, got on the same page, and he committed to making it right. I brought the truck back in that Friday. They kept it through the weekend and into Monday, worked to reproduce the issue, and when they couldn't get the codes to return, they still made the decision to move forward and replace the IPDM under the recall. Jason, the lead technician, put in the work and they even drove the truck around 100 miles to make sure everything was solid before giving it back to me. They also provided a loaner, which wasn't originally part of the plan. That's the difference. The first interaction was rough, but leadership stepped in, took ownership, and followed through. That's what you want when something doesn't go right the first time. If you work with them, my advice is to be clear and verify details up front. But based on how this was handled in the end, they showed they are willing to stand behind it and do the right thing.

I love my vehicle so far. I guess the only thing I'd say for anyone looking to buy this vehicle: I purchased it because it was almost exactly like the Lincoln Navigator I test drove. The Navigator just had too much tech (and I'm a techy person). This vehicle had just the right amount of tech without being over the top. However, I did not opt for the additional $7k upgrade and wish I would have. Rod mentioned that one of the differences would be road noise. During test driving I didn't feel that I heard much road noise, so I thought it was fine to save some money. It's not "road" noise I hear, but actual car noise. I'd imagine what I'm hearing is what Rod meant and I just didn't understand because I don't deal with this every day. Hindsight, I wish I would have upgraded $7k more. The noise isn't awful, but coming from a quieter Navigator to this, I can hear the difference now. I still love my car, but wish I would have test driven one with and one without the noise reduction to fully understand the difference. Oh well. Overall, a great transaction and we would come back for any future vehicles.
