The service is wonderful, the music is perfect for the venue and the atmosphere is nice. The martinis are on point. The soup not so much. The chicken tortilla soup is not great. It is a bit spicy but not in a good way, maybe less spice and more salt. If you are looking for real tortillas forget about it. They are mashed into the soup. I suggest they put at least one real tortilla on top as a garnish. The mini cheeseburgers are good and the goat cheese dip is a good size and flavorful. We will be back. read more

The Baja margarita was probably one of the best margs I've had. I highly recommend that drink. I didn't give this place 5 stars bc the service was pretty slow and he was quite forgetful. I decided to check this place out while on a visit to Florida for spring break. We walked into the front entrance and I had thought it was just a small place with a few tables that was tied to the retail store. Well I was wrong. Walk around and you'll see the heart of the restaurant! We decided to sit outside as it was right next to the water and it was beautiful out. I didn't take as many pics as I'd like because I was too engulfed with the delicious food :) I split a bottle of Prosecco. For a whole bottle it was quite a reasonable price. My daughter had the 0 proof hurricane spritzer. It was like a seltzer pina colada. So yum and delicious!! I had the crab bisque to start. Probably the best bisque I've ever had. It was so buttery. I ordered the surf and turf which was a deshelled lobster claws (my fave) and tenderloin medallions. It was cooked to perfection. My mom order the special risotto. She doesn't eat fish but they happily substituted with chicken. My mom said it was the best risotto she has ever had! My daughter got the child's pasta with sauce. The sauce was not as good as the rest of the meals but that's pretty typical I've found for kids meals sauces. We had the key lime pie and the pineapple crème brûlée for dessert. I wasn't as big of a fan of the key lime pie. It was more of a cheesecake consistency and a little too sweet for my taste. Maybe a bit more tartness would be nice. But the crème brûlée! Ooh la la! Decent enough. Wasn't a huge fan of the ambiance of the restaurant - inside had a bit of an odd smell and you were eating next to clothes lol (it's also a store). But it was alright. As Florida "reopens" for business, I am going to focus on sanitation protocols, the availability of hand sanitizer, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and the like. All employees, hosts, servers, cooks, and bus persons wore masks; there was hand sanitizer available; the tables were spaced well over 6 feet apart; and, paper menus were used to avoid cross-contamination. Tommy Bahama also had great food, great service, atmosphere, and a great manager who was filling in while the Dania store was closed... We started with a Mai Tai and a Strawberry Daiquiri for me and my wife; and a nonalcoholic Blue My MInd for our daughter. The drinks were fantastic and very refreshing. We also shared an excellent appetizer of a Seared Filet Mignon Flatbread. I ordered a cup of the Blue Crab Bisque and the Blackened Fish Tacos with a Habanero Margarita. The bisque was exceptional; as were the fish tacos; but, the drink lacked any real heat. My wife had the spectacular Crab and Avocado Salad. The presentation was wonderful; and, it was packed full of sweet lump crab. Our daughter had the Cuban Sandwich, which was very tasty. For dessert, we split the Large Malted Chocolate Pie, which was fantastic, with three types of chocolate... we took more than half back to the room to enjoy that evening. It was great. read more

David, the manager was great but not sure what happened after. We did have a nice table outside and we ordered a nice Stag's Leap Hands of the chardonnay and a drink to relax (They did bring bread to the table). We ordered a brussel sprout (they call it brussels-roasted shallots, thai chili lime vinaigrette, togarashi, tempura crunch and grand padano and cartelized cauliflower appetizer- humus, cilantro shout, toasted coconut, almond, cashews, rum golden raisins (both good). For mains, we ordered file mignon (trumpet mushrooms, blue cheese, cauliflower-potato mash, lemon arugula (very good) and miso ora king salmon (cartelized shiitake mushrooms, charred baby bak choy, tomato relish and citrus miso vinaigrette - here is where we had a major problem - I took a bite -I thought it was off. I even had my husband taste it. However, the next bite, it was totally raw. That was crazy. They took it back and I got a new one. Ok. Our table was very wobbly so they had to fix that. They didn't bring a steak knife to my husband for his steak (odd if you serve steak). The dirty plates were left on the table. My husband enjoyed his chocolate dessert and coffee - but I don't know if I'd make a special trip back. I would really like to if I am in the area as I know that David really tried to make it special. (I do know there is a shortage of waiters and a few called out that day). read more

We were looking for a nice lunch somewhere, after doing touristy stuff all day. My wife likes Tommy Bahama clothes and the restaurant reviews were good, so we decided to give it a try. We were seated with a view of the road and the lake behind the town center. It wasn't very busy, so it was fairly quiet. We started with a bowl of the crab bisque, which had a bit too much sherry and very little crab meat. Overall, though, it was still fairly rich and tasty. I had the ahi tuna tacos, which were served in fried wonton wrappers, and topped with a generous portion of fresh ahi tuna, cabbage slaw, and was drizzled with wasabi dressing. It was fairly light and had a nice sweet and umami flavor. My wife had the coconut shrimp, which were generously coated in a fried coconut batter. They also had a hint of nutmeg, which added a subtle complexity to the otherwise straightforward coconut and shrimp flavor. That came with a side of cole slaw, which was a bit mushy, probably because it was premade and had been sitting in the lime juice too long. Our waitress, who was also serving a party outside, was a bit crabby though. She actually sneered a little when we didn't start with alcoholic drinks, and didn't check on us during our meal, so we didn't get drink refills. The Tommy Bahamas store that it was collocated with had a nice, but small selection of very overpriced products. We have been here twice so far. One time at dinner and the other on a Saturday lunch. We like to shop a bit at the store that is connected before grabbing some food. They have great outdoor seating overlooking the water or the greens where they have an outside venue located in Harbourside Place. The staff are friendly and the first time we dined there they gave us complimentary bruschetta to try which was great! I really like the the miso king salmon bowl which is delicious and light. The whole area with other shops, restaurants is a great place to walk around after dinner. On the weekend they have a market right outside the restaurant to check out too. We were staying in the Wyndham next door and wandered in for a bite. Have to say I was pretty impressed. So let's get into it shall we? We saddled up to the bar and ordered drinks. Then promptly moved because we were next to noisy blenders. Our next spot was perfect and we settled in to look at the menu. Decided to share a duo of dips (chips, salsa and guac), coconut shrimp and a side of tots. Gotta love any place that serves tots. :) Everything was absolutely delicious. I have to point out that we were really really hungry. We inhaled the food. But I thought it was tasty. Service was efficient although not overly friendly. A wedding party of 30 or so wandered in at one point and the two bartenders went into warp speed and handled the crowd like rockstars. It was impressive. Met friends for lunch here. Thankfully, we got there early and put our name in for a table. Took 24 minutes for our table to be ready during lunch hour on a Sunday. In the meantime, we shopped in the store! I smelled al the candles, samples the coffee, tried on a dress and perused the jewelry and shoes. Staff inside the store were friendly and helpful. They were also always running in circles, so help was always a second away if you needed it. The dress was beautiful but didn't give me much shape. So I decided against it. They were running a special - if you spend $100 (or was it $175?), you get a $50 coupon towards a future purchase. Our table was ready so we followed the host past the gorgeous dessert tray (yum!!!) to the dining area. The dining area is small but they also have more tables outside and at the bar. It was looking like rain so we opted for inside seating. Sure enough, a huge storm came by and the doors blew open and people on the streets flooded in, soaking wet. The floors were wet and there was dust and dirt everywhere. But thankfully we were dry and unharmed. We started with the coconut shrimp. It took an hour for our appetizer to come. Our waitress must have forgotten our order. She came by twice without it and seemed frazzled. She also promised us a basket of bread, which was also very late. Our drinks came late too. Overall, service was absolutely terrible. Our server looked no older than 20 years, and it seemed like her first day. She was very kind but we waited over an hour for an extra napkin! It turned out to be a very long lunch. I wasn't complaining because I had already eaten. So I had one shrimp and two fancy cocktails which were fabulous. I was engaged in conversation with my friend and an older couple we invited, who I haven't seen in awhile. So I was just chatting away. But seriously, the service was absolutely terrible. Since our older couple friends live in the area, the manager stopped by and said hello. None of us dared complain about the girl since we were having a good time. I felt sorry for the couple though because they had come from church and had not eaten. They were hungry! The menu has gluten sensitive items and vegetarian options. It had a lot of seafood. I was surprised it didn't have a meat and cheese board. I was looking forward to snacking on something like that. They have daily specials- the entree was a chicken sandwich, the drinks were a big kahuna mai tai and a frozen mojito- I had them both. Delicious. Overall, a fun experience due to our company.
