Similar prices to other shops but put in aftermarket parts. Came here for brakes replacement but noticed the brake discs looked different from my originals. Upon asking, realized they were aftermarket's. It took a while to convince Tommy to change them to original parts. He wasn't happy about it and told me I was picky. No sir, I paid for the price of original parts, it is only fair I get the originals. Fast forward three months later (I don't drive often so it's about less than 100 miles later) my brakes make squeaking noise every time I brake. Brought it into Meineke and was told it's squeaking because of aftermarket brake pads. That means Tommy only changed my brake discs to original but left his aftermarket brake pads on. Very disappointed and felt scammed but I'm tired of dealing with Tommy. He wasn't nice the last time I brought up his aftermarket brake disks so I'm just going to take this as a lesson to not bring my business to Tommy's. Please also take this as your lesson and bring your business elsewhere. read more

I went there to change engine oil and regular check-up. It was quite crowded so I had to wait a bit. However, everything went fast once they started to check my car. They explained anything I might be curious of. Only thing bugged me was the space.. it was pretty narrow to squeeze in. Service itself was good though. read more

I need cabin filter and air filter replacements. Honda was going to charge me double the price of what Tommy's Auto Repair quoted me. Naturally I came here for the service. They were busy but also quick so I didn't wait too long. They also fill air in my tires and refill fluid in my car wiper. I went to add oil, the guy quoted me $30. For convenience I let him do. When he was adding oil he said $30 is not enough should be $40. The same 6 cylinder engine he did not know how much oil should add? He robbed me. I did not let him change the timing belt, for $10 he lost a chance to make more money. I always bring both my Audi and Nissan here. I've gotten oil changes and brake jobs so far. They're the only ones who touch my Audi, today I went in for an oil change and they said the drain plug was too tight and it was beginning to strip. They were the only ones who have touched that drain plug. I was sent away with no oil change, and was still charged the labor... I'm not upset about the plug, but charging someone for something you were not able to do is not good customer service. Luckily I was able to go home and do it myself with ease. read more

I had my 90,000 mile checkup on my acura @ Sierra Acura down the street. Sierra quoted a laundry list of repairs/maintainance including new brakes (f&r), transmission fluid flush, changing brake and power steering fluid, new filters,and many other issues at close to $ARM+LEG + 4 hour wait time. YEOWZ. I brought it in to Tommy and he did all that for far less than half of what the dealership quoted me, in half the time. His work is reliable and he works really hard. 10 years of coming here and i've never had a bad experience, nor have i heard of anyone who has been burned by Tommy and his brothers. Oil, tires, brakes, transmission, all those changes I've done through this Auto Repair center, through the course of the past few years. When getting my oil changed, the mechanic usually checks my tire pressures, and inspects to make sure other things are okay. I love that they're honest, even though they may sight something, they're not forceful for you to change what is needed, instead they tell you what is wrong, my brake pads were wearing thin, they told me about how much longer, before I should look into changing it, same thing with my rear tires. I used to reside in the SGV area, so this was always my go to auto repair shop. Whenever I get a chance to head towards that direction on the weekends to meet my hometown friends, I'll save my car to bring to them then. These guys are my friend's uncles , and I've tried coming here even though I've had a few bad instances with prior cars I've brought to them. Their prices are low, but there's a reason they're that low. I drive a 2019 civic si and the car only takes 3.5- 4.0 quarts of oil MAX , as it's only a small 1.5L engine. These guys on my last oil change dumped an ENTIRE 5 quart bottle of oil in my car... . I tried to talk to them about it , and they just said oh don't worry it's fine. Being an entire quart- quart and a half of oil is most definitely not fine and will probably ruin your engine . They refused to drain the overage of oil and kept saying that it's fine to be over that much. They alsomanaged to lose 3 of the oil splash shield screws that go under my honda ( I only found this out from my new mechanic that I've switched over to ) . This experience was the last straw of me ever going to this place, they've screwed me on my last car and now this one. Never again, I recommend y'all just spend a little more and go somewhere that won't ruin your car . read more

Great quality work for cheap cheap prices. I always come here for my oil changes because they always do a flawless job and in the end of the service, I am only charged $22 for my miata and $25 for my accords. Also, I've gone here for tire resealing after running over nails as well, in which they only charged $10, and my tires are still in awesome working condition. Just down the street is a tire specialty shop, and they charge about triple the price for the same exact work. All the employees are Asian, hardworking, and diligent with their services. I am not sure about major repairs though, for that I have never brought my vehicles here for any major repairs. Also, I do not believe I ever got any receipts from them for the oil changes and tire repair, but I believe that those are just small jobs and probably doesn't really require a receipt therefore. read more

Great place! I was referred over by my friend who has been going here for years.This place is owned by three brothers, Tommy, Johnson, and Hai, who are very nice and helpful. This place also has a very hospitable atmosphere. I came in today because my car makes weird sounds when I start the engine and me not knowing much about cars just told them what I know. One of the brother, Hai, helped me check with what's wrong. While waiting the other brother told me to sit and offered me water while I wait. It wasn't long until my car was fixed, not only that, but he also helped me check the tire pressure and brakes. Price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place! I think I found my go to auto shop if my car is ever in need of a fix up. read more

I guess since I'm a female and I don't know much about cars... they think they can swindle some money out of me! I went to this place and my car still had the same problem a week later. I then took my car to another place and the mechanic at the new place told me that the parts that this Tommy's place made me replace was useless. He got 300 dollars out of me and I'm still angry. i have been coming here since i've moved to california and it is definitely a spot worth returning to! i know very little about cars and all of their parts, but that's not a problem when it comes to tommy's! the staff is very helpful with deciphering what's wrong. for instance, i was feeling this vibration through my steering wheel and was unaware of what the problem was so i brought my car to tommy's and in less than 5 minutes, they figured it out! additionally, the staff is very welcoming as water, coffee, and snacks are always offered to you while you wait for your car to be fixed! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. After over 10 years of having my cars serviced here, I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. They charged me $65 for that and to add some brake fluid, when they said they would do a brake flush. After I left, I noticed the oil was leaking from the filter and one of my tires has gone flat. Luckily I was at home. I now have to rent a car at $89 a day and have the dealer fix it. Not counting the repair I'm out at least $1000. Since I didn't get a receipt for the work it may be impossible to collect from them the damages. The rental car costs more because I had to book last minute. They also have a bad habit of topping off fluids above the max full line. This is especially bad for motor oil as too much oil pressure causes leaks and can damage an engine. It probably is a problem for brake fluid as well. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Have come to get tires patched up after getting a nail in them. They do a good job and are priced reasonably. $15. Checked air pressure on all tires, as well. They're usually pretty quick unless there's a lot of cars in the shop. I've always been helped right away. read more
