Recently decided to stop in here to watch one of the World Cup matches and Tommy's tavern did not disappoint. We have passed by this place many times and I'm glad we decided went in. The bathrooms are impeccable and I really like how they keep their restaurant clean. There's great choices for everyone the menu but the menu itself isn't overwhelming. Don't go here, what a disgrace We were at the Hilton for a dance competition We had 2 hours to eat, so we decided to try Tommy's Tavern We went there 6 people. The girl at the front (blond hair,tattoo's ) and the other kid there were rude and obnoxious . I asked how long because we only had 2 hours And she said 20-30 mins we decided to wait. People kept coming in and they Sat them within 10 mins, at one point a group of 7 came in and were seated,, finally my wife went up and complained to The host (blond girl with tatto's) said she didn't remember putting our name down!!! I saw it on the tablet and so did my wife, we were their for 45 mins , the manager came and was no help at all It was a terrible experience , we finally LEFT and drove to Millers Ale house, where we were seated in 10 mins and had a great experience!! I've written plenty of reviews and give honest opinions but this one was the worst, 6 people probably a $4-$500 tab and they blew it big time. Pretty much a sports bar! Nice selection of Tap Beers, Zachary our server was hospitable and did a great job! I had the Southwest Turkey Burger 2 patties it came with tomato and onion slices and avocado with a chipolte ranch served on a toasted brioche bun with fries! The Fries were the best part. The chipotle ranch was weak no spice to the turkey burgers either! My wife ordered a special The Fried Grouper Sandwich it had lettuce tartar and pickle on a brioche bun. Went there and haven't been in a while on a Sunday night. Was seated right away. First thing I do in restaurants look under the table and that was strike 1.....debris, food, etc. definitely a turn off . When the waitress took our order we specifically asked about the honey mustard dressing and if it was SPICY. She said no. We asked for the salad to come out BEFORE the entree.... ready??? She said I'm gonna have to ask about that because they come together. I am not sure what goes on in the world today, but every Restaurant will serve you your salad first... lo and behold, the salad came out with different dressing on it and Yep, the honey mustard was spicy. Strike 2. Next , ordered a burger and asked if I could do an " even swap for the fries." Once again she said sure and rambled off lots of choices. Bill comes up charge for the " even swap." Hmmm maybe I need to bring a dictionary the next time I go to this restaurant for the words "spicy and even" strike 3. Thank goodness 1 entree was done somewhat correct... the grilled steak was not hot. Lots of other places to choose from. Showed up with colleagues on a business trip dinner with 7 people, manager thought my friend's ID (who is 25 years old) was fake and refused to serve our entire table (all of us 22+). He said some very rude comments and was on his way to confiscating our REAL IDs until we told him we would call the cops to get them back. He got butt hurt, couldn't admit that he was wrong and told his entire staff to refuse to serve us drinks. We went down the street to Millers and were treated with great respect and got wonderful food. This manager took over a hundred dollars in potential tips out of his server's pocket because he was too sensitive! Glad our money went to a better establishment, don't waste your time at Tommy's. read more

We visited Tommy's for happy hour recently it's a great place with excellent happy hour specials! We especially love their drink specials and their bartenders make a fab Blood Orange Manhattan.. and two of my fave things on the happy hour menu are their Spicy Tuna Roll and their Garlic Flatbread.. this visit we also had the sliders served with their homemade chips yum! First time visiting a Tommy's after recently seeing them pop up all over. Well I loved everything about it and only wished there were one closer to my house. We met my sister here over Christmas break. From bevs to food to service to atmosphere - this place has nailed it. So much so that I recently visited another Tommy's and plan to keep trying them all till I find my favorite. We really enjoyed all the amazing dishes you'll find in the photos. Really extensive menu with lots of great options - there's something for everyone: whether that be pizza/flatbread, salads, sandwiches, larger entrees, shareable apps, and even sushi and poke! The Cubano was a large portion but the sandwich was largely the bread but still very enjoyable. I arrived a bit too early to check into my hotel, so, I decided to find a place to grab food in the area. Tommy's was very close and had good reviews, so, I went to check it out. I arrived about 2pm on a Tuesday, parked and walked inside. I asked the host if they had free WIFI which they confirmed. I then asked if I could be seated a little out of the way so I could get some work done while I had something to eat. They were friendly and helpful and since it was after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush, it was not very busy. Besides me, there were a few tables seated and a few people at the bar. They seated me in a booth a bit of the way and provided me with the WIFI details, which I appreciated. I quickly checked out the menu and decided to order a pizza and a drink. I then ran out to my rental car to grab my work backpack and laptop. I was able to easily connect to the WIFI and had started to work when the pizza arrived. The pizza looked fabulous and I grabbed a slice. The pizza was a thin crust, but it was just what I wanted. I proceeded to eat about a third of a medium pizza. It really hit the spot and I was able to catch up on work. As I was finishing up with my work, I asked my server if I could get two to-go containers that I thought would fit into a hotel fridge instead of a pizza box. She returned with two plastic containers that I thought would fit perfectly. I packed everything up and was on my way. The place has a large bar area with a lot of TV's throughout. I could see this as a great place to grab a beer and watch a game. I looked up Tommy's online after I left to find out a little more about the restaurant. I was surprised to find this is a small chain which has about 13 locations primarily in NJ with one in NY and one in DE. This was a great experience and again, this would be a great place to grab a beer, pizza and watch a game. Highly recommend! read more

I haven't been here since this was a Zinburger, stopped in for a lunch and grabbed a quick bite. Big bar, and seating around tables and booths; the booth was comfortable enough. Sushi, pizza, salad, and sandwiches, a mix of stuff that mirrors a bit of our cafeteria, ironically, but more expensive. The sandwiches range from $17-22, come with fries. I had the Tavern Dip, which was ok, their take on a French Dip sub - size was ok, $24 ($22 on the online menu so that's maybe old or the salad was a couple extra dollars instead of fries?) and came with fries (though I'd asked for a salad) which made it very filling; I even took some home. They brought the salad over after apologizing for getting it wrong. Salad wasn't too tasty for a caesar, I suspect not enough dressing as it was definitely more on the lettuce side. Fries were good crispy and fresh. Service was friendly and though they managed to get the side wrong, the food itself was ok but I can't really fathom spending on a $20+ lunch every day for sandwiches or a burger... definitely something I'd come back for maybe a dinner or something with folks another day as the beers seem reasonably priced. Parking lot had a few people driving like they were on fire, but that's NJ for you... always in a rush. Note our split bill had the suggested tip as for the whole bill at the bottom of the slip, so be aware of that when you aim to tip that you are calculating for your portion (or covering for the whole bill). read more

W love TT&T's. We always have amazing food and service. The 50/50 fire shrimp and calamari was excellent!! The apple salad was delicious! The bulgogi tacos were good, with Kim chee! Previously we've had the dip sandwich (excellent) and the spiced Mikey flatbread. Our waiter last night was excellent, attentive, engaging, prompt and polite. We were greeted when we entered and the manager stopped By our table twice to check on us. We travel from NY to FL and we always stop for a night near a Tommy T's so we can have dinner there. They need to give more consideration to the mechanics of how food is stacked and plated. The burger bun wasn't able to contain the stack of slippery ingredients so it was impossible to eat without everything falling apart. The smallish soft tacos on my meal suffered the same fate, impossible to pick up and eat because they were too small for what was in them. I guess it's a kitchen trick to make you believe you're getting a lot but it's just a mess and not appreciated. it's expensive for what it is too. Local pubs do it so much better. read more

Not a good visit to Tommy's today. We stopped by in the late afternoon hoping to catch the last half hour of the Mets game. The last regular season game that would determine the Mets post season play. We were seated in the main dining that had 20 TVs. At the time, I would say about 30% of the tables were filled. We asked the server if one of the TVs could be switched to the Mets and we were told no, they can't change from football (note - multiple TVs had the same game). The young man was kind enough to at least check with the manager but came back with the same answer - no can do. Huh. Ok. But super curious how the Yankees were on one of the TVs yet they couldn't put the Mets on thanks to their "Sunday football policy". I'd also add that at the time, it was mostly a crowd of young families paying little attention, if any, to the games. We decided to stay because the kids were super hungry. Food was average. Wings were good. Guacamole ok but tiniest portion ever. Burgers ok but overcooked. Draft beers were cold but had a skunky taste, leading me to believe that they don't clean their beer lines. Service was friendly and efficient. Probably my last time here. I'd rather go somewhere a bit more accommodating. And that's fine as I think Tommys in general has lost its luster. Pizza was flop city, sauce had no flavor and the whole thing was just kind of bland. My mom got a chicken sandwich with the toughest, chewiest piece of chicken ive even been served, had to send it back. Ribs looked good and the sauce was tasty but the meat had zero seasoning no salt or anything super bland tasting. The famous wings I dont really get it if youre going to grill wings you should get them charred a bit and crispy, they were were flabby and not really hot. The portions were a good size, so I took half home for the next day. What I really like is the fact that there were TVs all around the restaurant, but it wasn't noisy. Tommy's is one of me and my families go to place to eat! I've literally have had almost everything on the menu. The staff is always nice and careful. The ambiance of the place is your typical sports bar spot! My Go to food no matter what is THE WINGS and I get BBQ, RANCH, & Buffalo Sauce for dipping. They are baked so I always feel good about myself eating them lol. Baked well done is how I prefer them. I love them to have char on them to get the right amount of crispness. Now that's the highlight of my time always but they are other options too. The turkey burger is a banger, the pizza is always nice, and the brownie ice cream desert is elite! The food is good but the service is really disappointing. During my most recent visit I had one of the poorest service experiences that I've had at a restaurant in recent memory, if not ever. Slow service / being busy is absolutely understandable, but our server was actually mean which made for a really weird and uncomfortable meal. Food was solid as always. Portions are really large - the chicken parm is smothered in cheese and is enough for more than two meals. It comes with two massive chicken cutlets. Kids meals are fairly priced at around $8 and for the price my daughter's meal came with a large grilled cheese, sizeable amount of fries and a juice. Sangria for me, 9oz rose for my friend. $22 before tip. Bartender was friendly and fast. When we sat for dinner, I settled on the general tsos cauliflower for an appetizer to share and the San Danielle pizza. The waitress saw our bar drinks and offered to bring water which was appreciated. The food was very good. I wish I ordered the cauliflower for myself. I could have eaten the whole thing. The pizza was perfect. I took the rest home and am eating the leftovers for lunch as I write this. $55 before tip for the appetizer, a large pizza and a flatbread. With a name like Tommy's Tavern + Tap I expected more of an Irish style menu. However, Tommy's is like if Yard House and California Pizza Kitchen had a baby. Service was poor from the moment we walked in. Our waitress definitely forgot to put in our order and when she realized then avoided our table. Wasn't until I stared her down that she came over and made some excuse as to why we didn't have it. Food is average. I was excited to get nachos as I had been craving them. We got chili on them but there was barely any chili and sooooo many jalapeños. Sushi rolls were recommended but I would say skip it here. Brought my dad here after LEAD EAST two weekends ago. Too much food! Food: I decided to get a firecracker 50/50 app, which was the most interesting flavored dish I have had which involved fried calamari and shrimp. I ended up getting some fried chicken sliders but was too full to finish them after the appetizer. Aesthetic: TVs line the upper walls of this place, but that's really the only noteworthy thing to me. It was noisy so not the best place for a romantic date! Nice variety of cocktails and my friend had a blueberry lemonade martini which she liked. Hubby had chili and was surprised it was such a generous serving. Friend had nachos and ended up taking about half home; they were good. I wanted to eat lighter so ordered the spiced up vegetarian roll with avocado, asparagus, carrot, and cucumber topped with sliced jalapeño, siracha sauce, and crispy onions. This place went from quiet and peaceful to hopping so quickly, I barely noticed until every table was full. The waitresses were very kind and patient as I selected the best place to meet my friend arriving later (the benefit to arriving early). The options are endless - tables to the left, to the right, to the windows, to the wall, outside seating in back, outside seating in front.... It went on quite a bit. The food was very good - the crispy brussel sprouts had a nice touch of cheese on top, the shrimp add-on to the salad was cooked well. Even the Cesar salad was well balanced with dressing. The Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich could have been better with a different bread and also it is basically chicken tenders not a chicken breast or thigh which is what you'd expect on a sandwich. The Smokey BBQ Brisket Sandwich was tender and had a nice BBQ flavor. The slaw and pickles were a nice balance to the savory meat and the fries complemented both sandwiches well.
