The first officer on my crew recommend this spot and it was great! They allowed up to bring our own beverages and the food did not dissapoint! The staff was attentive and very courteous! we sat out side and watched people walk by. I LOVED the decor.

We were in town for a wedding and my husband was nice enough to book us a reservation at this restaurant. It was a great decision. The ambiance is very nice with nice separation between tables and booths. The decor is also nice. The regular menu offers a good variety of appetizers, salads and entrees, and there was also a specials menu. We split the stuffed mushrooms appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. For my entree I had the strip steak au povre. It also came with asparagus and yuca fries. I loved it all. My husband had the shrimp and scallops pasta dish. It came with some really big shrimp. He loved it. We were too full for dessert but were given a gift card for next time because we were celebrating my birthday. That was a very nice touch.

This was our pick for a birthday celebration. We had a 5:45pm reservation on a Friday evening and the place was fairly quiet (the rainy day could have been a factor). As the evening progressed the tables started filling up. The food was delicious and the flavors hit all the right spots. The quail with ground bison was perfect! The Jambalaya had a slight kick, just enough to hit the back of the throat. The seafood paella was my favorite with the layers of flavor and enhanced by the perfect amount of saffron. Portion sizes for the entrées were generous. The pistachio truffle was not overly sweet and went well with the strong cappuccino. The cappuccino creme brulee was different, and we felt the amount of cream may have overpowered the flavor of the creme brulee. The presentation of all dishes from start to finish was evidently done with care. While the staff were all friendly, there was a long wait before someone came over to either check on us or get our orders for each course. This seemed odd since the restaurant was not busy at the time. Parking: Street parking (if you're lucky) or the parking lot of the Hyatt across the street. We definitely liked our experience at Chef Freddy's Table and will be returning. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy good food.

Service was Great overall, staff was attentive to our table. I enjoyed the experience, the ambiance was warm and romantic. The appetizers were amazing calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and scallops. We ordered NY steaks, everyone enjoyed them and did say they were cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp and scallop entree I was a little disappointed as it lacked flavor, shrimp and scallops were large and well proportioned. Perfect restaurant for a special occasion or romantic date. Definitely on the high end as far as the menu.

5/5 for service! The staff was all friendly and kept our wine glasses and water glasses filled. The food was good but there were some parts I felt like could be better: I shared the stuffed mushrooms with my mom (5/5 and they even brought it out on two plates!) Seafood paella (4/5 the lobster tasted a little hard and rubbery which is unfortunate but the paella was great and the sausage was really good too!) Chilean sea bass (4/5 the bass was cooked to PERFECTION but the mushroom risotto and veggies could've used a lot more flavoring) We were celebrating a birthday too so they brought out a little chocolate mousse tart with a candle too!

This is a great spot to celebrate a special occasion and enjoy a nice night out in Morristown. Huge long list of chef specials and the main menu. You can tell they've got some regulars there that know what they want and order well. You really can't go wrong with so many dishes on this menu, but you can also venture out as they have some unique meats and options that I'm sure would be prepared to perfection. Keep in mind it's BYOB, but there's a few spots on the same road you can grab a bottle to bring in with you. This spot is definitely on the fancier side, and parking can be tough. However, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time as this spot is popular and well known!

I've been a regular at this restaurant the last 4 years. The service is always outstanding and they treat you like family. The food is excellent always and presentation great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a quaint, upscale restaurant.

First, overall I'd say the food was very good on all five visits. The first two nights, I had dinner here. On the first night, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a bowl of the French onion soup and the halibut. The soup wasn't huge for $12, but it tasted good, and the halibut was quite flavorful. I didn't realize at the time, but they add in an 18% gratuity, so tip extra at your own risk. On the second night, I ate at a table with two coworkers. I had the chicken paillard, which was a large portion and also very good. Service was strong at both the bar and table on consecutive nights. For the three breakfasts, I pretty much had the same thing every day...an omelette with a side of fruit. It also came with potatoes, but it would've been nice if it came with toast or something similar without needing to pay extra. Again, food was good. Service the first day was fine. The next two days, the older gentleman providing service couldn't have cared less. I (and others) would show up at 6:30, when they opened, but nobody would be there. We'd sit ourselves and then wait. Eventually he'd show up. It was difficult getting coffee too, as both days, my cup sat empty for a long time until I'd eventually flag him down. Everything was on his time. I would've given him little/no tip...if the 18% wasn't already added in. The rest of the restaurant...food and service...gets a 5. This guy gets a 1. I probably should've given this a 3, but it didn't seem fair to everything/everyone else.
