If you're interested in the tour, Tommys Nashville tours was a lot of fun. He's a nashville native been doing tours for over 30 years. He tells jokes and curses a little, but nothing major and we had a lot of laughs. He was hilarious. The tour is about 3.5-4 hours long. It's $50 (cash or check) dollars a person but we both thought it was well worth it. He shows downtown sites then took us to Bell Meade and Brentwood and such to see celebrity homes (Taylor Swift, Dolly, TN Governor's Mansion, Martina McBride, and several others). I would definitely recommend to anyone! read more

I highly recommend this tour of Nashville. You get a nice overview of the area, you see music row, several nice neighborhoods, and lots of homes and estates of music stars and other high rollers. I think this smaller, more intimate tour is much cozier than and a better bargain than most of the larger tours. PLUS--it is super entertaining. Tommy is a jokester--everyone is fair game--and the whole experience is loads of fun. read more

I cannot rate this tour because we didn't actually take it. I called the day before the scheduled tour to confirm and when she called back she said she had to cancel all tours for the week because they have no driver. No one was ever going to call and let us know our tour was cancelled. And when I asked for a recommendation of a similar tour since they canceled last minute she was SO RUDE and said "I can't tell you because I work for Tommy and he doesn't let us recommend other tours". So unprofessional. Do not book this tour rude and not dependable. read more

I'm not actually rating the tour b/c they never showed up. A call would have been nice to just let us know the tour was cancelled ( even after we confirmed with them on the phone TWICE beforehand the date, time and pickup location) so this rating is for their Unprofessionalism and Rudeness. When calling the office inquiring where they were - the woman said there was no tour scheduled and we had to send her the email confirmation sent to us as proof . read more

Exhausting. Rude. This was an exhausting 3 hour tour. The other reviewers are correct... You will be scolded by Tommy if you choose to converse with your friends while on the tour - even if conversing quietly. I was told to "be quiet! People have paid to be on this tour..." Well, Jack... That's obvious and I wasn't riding for free! Tommy made bad jokes about Down Syndrome, "fat" people, anorexia, women, and time with his "therapist." Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but the jokes were tasteless, sexist, and not the least bit funny. As far as the homes tour... We didn't see much. Of the homes we did see, they were mostly of those people who were post modern music industry and of people I've never heard of. And homes of people who have nothing to do with the music industry, like the home of the "guy" who makes uniforms. WHAT??? At times, it seemed like he was just making stuff up along the way. Save your $$ - take a walking tour around town. read more

Wow!! We loved this tour and Tommy! We took this tour on Friday May 25th. It was our first full day in Nashville so we received a thorough tour of Nashville and the surrounding areas and then could decide for ourselves what we would like to see in depth during the rest of our stay. Tommy hit all the highlights (the Capitol bldg., stadium, Ryman Auditorium, RCA Victor Studio, Broadway ST, various Nashville Stars' homes, and some interesting public art . We had a pitstop at the Union Station Hotel and am I glad we did. This is a beautiful hotel with some interesting art in the entrance as well as the lobby of the hotel. It was very fun to see and it was a nice break to get out and stretch. Tommy also took us by; or nearby, several Nashville stars' homes and had interesting anecdotes about these stars. The ride felt very relaxed and Tommy kept us laughing the whole time. He has an excellent sense of humor, is kind and has an incredible amount of Nashville, Tennessee knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour to any first time visitors to Nashville and maybe even some returning visitors. Being in "Tommy's Nashville" is worth the price of admission! read more

This tour of Nashville horrible. We didnt get Tommy on our bus, we got Hank and he didn't know a thing! Talked about himself the entire time. Well worth the $35 spent for this tour. Got to see downtown area, old train station, surrounding area homes of country music and other famous people that live outside of Nashville. Tommy was funny and kept it interesting by talking, not sure how he remembers everything - he did a very good job. It was very easy to see the sights from any seat in the bus. Tommy knows Nashville! This tour was outstanding. It was 3 hours and we saw SO many celebrity homes- Martina, Dierks, Dolly, Taylor, and Chrisleys, to name a few. We also had a short tour downtown and saw recording studios, famous bars and restaurants and a few other landmarks. Tommy tells jokes the whole time and is hilarious so it's a very entertaining ride. We stopped and got out twice-once at Union Station and once at a Mapco (ha!) He has a lot of inside scoop on where the stars live, as well as interesting stories and facts about each one! I highly recommend this tour-and it was a great value at only $45. So much fun! I'll always remember this experience. read more

I can't actually rate the tour...they never showed up. We waited 45 minutes at the appointed place and time.

This was the WORST tour we have ever taken and we have taken similar tours with private companies all over N. America. The guide was extremely rude to some of the passengers, is a really bad driver and pretty unprofessional. First I'll say we didn't have Tommy. The driver we had was 20 min late to pick us up and dropped us off 15 min early. He also was a totally erratic driver, slamming on the gas, then stomping on the brake throughout the entire tour. My wife and I were starting to feel sick. He also spent a large portion of the tour yelling at other drivers and heaven forbid you speak during the trip. If you do he will either stop speaking and glare at you, or scold you like you are a child. My wife and I were softly chatting with someone else on the bus we had just met, on a street we had already been down once, during the last 5 min of the tour, when he stopped speaking and then preceded to scold us for talking, even softly, in a very rude condescending fashion. I haven't been spoken to like that since I was a child. This wasn't the only time he had a problem with people talking. Other people were talking softly during earlier parts of the tour when he would stop his speech and glare at them until the stopped. Totally unprofessional. Not only was he rude, unprofessional, and a bad driver, the tour was just plain BORING. You would need to be over the age of 65 to even get some of his references, especially referring to the country music scene. Even the people in that age range were complaining about never hearing of most of the "celebrities" he was referencing. We also missed large parts of the city, and didn't even make it to all the places they said we would make it to on the website. read more

This is an absolutely amazing tour. We had Tommy and he was awesome. Took a nice tour through Downtown Nashville, learned a lot. He took us on long tour to many celebrities houses and we were able to see the gorgeous Nashville surrounding area. He has a great sense of humor, VERY knowledgeable on just everything he showed us. His bus was nice and clean, very comfy. Cost us $35 a person, cash only. His website is a bit dated, but his bad reviews are straightup wrong. GREAT TOUR, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! read more

I think this is the first time I've written a bad review but I felt I needed to say Tommy's tours really messed up our Nsshville vacation. We saved the best for last. Instead of seeing all the Nasville sights on foot we decided to spend the last day of our short stay going on a tour with a local figuring we'd see and learn more that way. We booked a day ahead and figured we were in good hands, looking forward to seeing the sights Nashville is known for. We are leaving Nasville in a couple hours without having gotten to see anything we hoped for! We got a message late Friday night that he was canceling our Saturday morning tour because he felt he didn't have enough people booked to make our tour worthwhile . So thanks to Tommy's tours we are boarding our plane without seeing the sights. So unfair and so disappointing!!!!! This was our VACATION , we would have done so many things differently. This tour was the best way (so we thought) to see everything at once. You can't just cancel on someone that is counting on a good portion of their vacation being planned around a long tour of the sights we flew across the country to see. Where's the principle of a customer based business? I would not recommend Tommy's tours to anyone unless you want to go home feeling empty handed and disappointed!!! read more
