    International Terminal G gates

Pretty decent prepared-on-the-spot sushi & Japanese cuisine at surprisingly reasonable prices at the airport. Lots of big fresh slabs of fish for the sushi chefs behind the counter. A good sign, in my book. Busy vibe here with a ton of customers in line as I walked up. Scan the to go counter as you stand in line. The line moves quickly thanks to the cashier who was courteous and efficient. There are many tables and counters to sit down and enjoy your meal, but most all were occupied already, so I just took one of the to-go portions from the cold case. The Rainbow roll was on point with good sized portions, but the rice was a tiny bit on the colder side due to being in the cold case for a few minutes. They have a larger menu too that you can order from too, but for next time if I had more time. Tomokazu is a solid and worthy choice for healthy and reasonably priced food at SFO's International terminal.

Food: Tempura udon was fine. The udon had not much taste to it but tempura was good. I don't think I'd come back though. Service: Fast. Ambiance: There is indoor seating but space is small.

Beef & Veggie Udon, with California Roll in the back

I needed to grab a good meal before boarding our long flight to Sydney, AUS. With there being a limited number of options in the international terminal, I selected Tomokazu which features udon, rice bowls and sushi. They have a small area of seating inside, but it's a little tight, so I opted for takeout and grabbed a table elsewhere. BEEF & VEGGIE UDON ($16.50): Tender beef, napa cabbage, a bundle of enoki mushrooms, a fish cake and generous serving of noodles were served in a light broth. The noodles were thick with a good bouncy texture and the broth (although on the salty side) comforted me during this tiring travel day. The beef was sliced thin, like what you'd find in sukiyaki, with just a couple pieces being heavy on the fat. The udon and broth was served extremely hot which I appreciated. I was actually surprised it didn't start melting the plastic bowl! The serving of udon was satisfying for the price. I also got a CALIFORNIA ROLL ($9) which was pricey for just six small pieces, but I suppose it's not outrageous for airport food. They have a grab-and-go section for sushi, so I saw the cashier just get one from there and place it in my bag right before calling my number. This was a nice pre-flight meal... filling, without being too heavy. It was fresh and prepared pretty quickly as well considering that they were consistently busy with it approaching dinner hours.

Food and service was quick and fresh. We just had to grab what we wanted and pay at the counter. Lady at counter was super nice and recommended sushi combo which had the salmon and crab negiri for my husband and I had the veg roll sushi. Was fresh and light but at the same time filling. Drinks were good too. I had a boba drink which had strawberry which was nice. Seating also there and not very busy around 3.15pm so worked out best for us.

This airport restaurant is so affordable and quality! There's plenty of seating inside. I like how they have elevator music playing. Modern feel throughout. The sushi and sashimi have thick fish cuts. The seafood udon was decent sized! You order and get handed a number to pick up whether you're dining there or takeout.

Ambiance pretty cool, light jazz playing. Little noisy from conversations, counter staff was quick and friendly. Ordered gyoza and house ramen. At around 8:30am had about 10 min wait. Got little coaster to vibrate when ready. Gyoza was std fair. Little crispy outside, well cooked. Sauce was good, maybe soy+sesame? Ramen, lots of soup, pork had quite a few pretty big chucks. One half egg, corn, some preserved veggy. Noodles had decent amount of chew. Would come back again. Liked it.

if you're looking for a good spot that has fresh food and not too crowded at the San Francisco airport head over to terminal 3G gates and visit Tomokazu. They have a sushi chef that is making fresh sushi all the time, they also have Japanese rice and noodles both Ramen and udon. They are very delicious. It is very quiet and they have seating for about 25 to 30 guest. They have this because the cheap gates are usually international flights that go to the Pacific.

Grab something to eat before boarding in oh my gosh, the Ramen and the rolls were delicious. We were so glad we got the things we got service was fast. Place was cute though we didn't eat at the restaurant we brought that at the boarding area.

I wanted a hot bowl of soup and they provided. Tempura's good too. I stopped by right as they opened so it took around 15 min for my food to be ready, but they did provide warning.

Fast and grading on the scale of fast airport sushi, it was pretty good! Good for on the go or quick stop before you lay eyes on the gate.

    Tonkatsu rice bowl

Located in San Francisco Airport, prices are pretty standard. Seating is limited but people usually eat relatively quickly or get to-go. Tonkatsu rice bowl (3/5): pretty good. The tonkatsu was crispy but it was on the dry side. However there was quite a bit of it so that was a big plus. Overall, Tomokazu is your typical airport restaurant. Prices are high, but the portions vary. Some items such as the tonkatsu rice bowl are more filling compared to the teriyaki chicken.

We got some cucumber rolls for the flight and they were simple but delicious.Service was pretty fast and with a buzzer in hand it was easy to not loose track of the food while we stood shopping at the duty free right next to this restaurant . Packing was also convenient and appealing.

Tomokazu, located in SFO International terminal G, is one of the best eatery inside an airport terminal. The food quality is food, tastes fresh and prices are reasonable. Definitely would eat here again if I'm in this terminal. Good menu variety. We ordered the chicken curry, California roll and Alaska roll - I would recommend all.

It seemed there was only one person who was the hostess, taking orders, and delivering the food. I give her mad props. With the dinner rush she was all over it. This place has seemed to have gotten an elevated, more modern face lift/ renovation compared to the restaurant that used to be here. I was surprised that they didn't have standard sushi rolls that I'm usually accustomed to, but from the rolls that I've tried here... change is good. I ordered: 1. Corn tempura: First time seeing this, I love both corn and tempura. Had to see what it was about. It was perfection. Now it makes me wonder why this has never been done. 2. California roll: Standard staple and was good. 3. Warriors roll: It's an interesting combo, all items that I like.. first bite you're hit with a flavor explosion. At times I felt I couldn't taste the shrimp tempura, but the crunch from the crunchy onion ties it all together. 4. Beef steak: She recommended me to try this first before trying the daily special or short rib. She did not disappoint with this recommendation. The beef was so tender and flavorful. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely be back for more. I forgot to take pictures, because we inhaled the food so fast.
