Saw Dumpling Delight has taken over the spot previously occupied by Tasty Place. We visited around 11 a.m. on a Saturday and were seated right away. Paper menus were available, though there was also an option to order by scanning a QR code. We tried the following dishes: Popcorn Chicken - Unfortunately bland. Curry Fishball - Decent, but noticeably on the sweet side. Grilled Squid - We expected simple grilled squid, but it came topped with a sweet chili sauce. It was fine, but not something we'd order again. Scallion Pancakes - Lacked strong scallion flavor and were quite soggy, likely due to excess oil. Steamed Leek & Pork Dumplings - The wrapper was thick and seemed undercooked at the top. The filling tasted alright but leaned sweet. Pan-Fried Pork Buns - Appeared to use the same filling as the leek & pork dumplings. These were more like fully fried buns than true pan-fried ones. Overall, we weren't impressed and don't plan to return.

We usually go to My dumpling in San Mateo downtown for dumplings; this is our first time trying here and the food is decent. We only tried a couple of dishes but overall we will come back to try more dishes next time. Perhaps we won't need to drive all the way to San Mateo afterwards! I would give 4 stars for the same quality of food but since it's a new business I'd like to give it a boost for better visibility until later.

Food is delectable. Pork xiao long bao was delicious and juicy -- I would order again. In terms of service it's pretty diabolical to not give chopsticks or a spoon, we were given no utensils at all, no napkins, and no dipping sauce for our delivery order today. Otherwise would give five stars.

    burnt pan fried bun!

We went for lunch, and unfortunately this will be our first and last visit. The waitress looked stern the entire time--not just with us, but with other customers as well. I don't expect exceptional service from a Chinese restaurant, but her expression was noticeably unpleasant. The food was also disappointing. The deep-fried bun arrived burnt. The Xiaolongbao had unusually thick skin and a bland filling. We also ordered the bamboo and mushroom bun, which was clearly not freshly made--you could see the original manufacturing imprints on the bottom, which didn't match the steamer paper used by the restaurant. They claim everything is handmade, but that's definitely not true for this bun. Overall, the experience was not worth returning for. Very disappointing.

The dumplings and buns are, in fact, a delight. The BBQ Pork Buns were especially good!

Once I placed my order, I could track my wait time through their live update dashboard to see when my drinks would be ready. There are only a few tables indoors and a bathroom onsite is also available. I got the tie guan yin milk tea which is recommended as a popular choice. I was able to customize the sweetness down to 10% and the drink was still a bit on the sweet side once the boba was added in. Overall, creamy and good. My husband got the mango ice tea with aiyu jelly. You could only customize the sweetness down to 30% for this and it was also very much on the sweet side. They have some noncaffeinated options as well, my kids enjoyed splitting a strawberry milk smoothie.

DRINKS: 7/10 I usually order the Champaca Milk Tea with added mochi since it's the closest thing they have to a jasmine milk tea. There's nothing inherently wrong with their drinks, but I find them a little underwhelming, especially with so many great boba spots around now. Personally, I'd rather go to TP Tea across the street. One thing I do appreciate is that they frequently have BOGO promotions and anniversary specials. We happened to stop by without realizing they were celebrating their 7th anniversary, and they gave us a cute little figurine for free, which was a fun surprise. SERVICE: 8/10 You order through the self-service kiosks, so the process is quick and straightforward. Definitely more of an in-and-out kind of place. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The shop is very cute and pink! I loved the display of figurines and merchandise, and their pink bunny mascot is all over the store, which adds a fun touch. That said, the shop itself could use a little more attention when it comes to cleanliness. I noticed quite a bit of dust, along with drink splatters and stains on the walls.

The coconut in the middle pairs really well with the mango slush and its toppings. It also comes with sago and a few mochi balls on the bottom. The mango pamelo sago is definitely one of the best ones in the area, and the overall drink is really refreshing and worth trying! Their menu has a lot of other taiwanese drinks that are pretty solid. One of them worth mentioning is the coconut purple rice taro milk. I'm usually not a big fan of coconut, purple rice, or taro, but the drink is pretty delicious, sweet, and unique. Their service is also really nice, friendly, and quick. If you order it online, they usually keep it in their refrigerator to keep your drinks cold! Lastly, I also love their decor. It's decorated with anime posters which make it feel more welcoming and fun. Love the vibes of this place and its drinks!

I'm worried that they'll close down due to lack of marketing and drumming up enough business. The taste of these yogurt drinks is tangy and sweet, and the additional fiber from purple rice and oats makes for an amazing layered texture. The service can be hit or miss, but it's largely a takeout/beverage spot and you order from a tablet in the first place. My favorite order is the strawberry or honeydew yogurt with less sugar. Give Yomie Yogurt a try when you have a chance, you won't regret it.

All you could really taste was the Yogurt and nothing else in this drink, and wish it had more Purple Rice. The Mango Yogurt also didn't have enough Mango flavor. Also, it had an artificial tasting Mango to it. Would definitely be better if it had Mango Chunks in it. Overall, drinks had little flavor and really no service. Would definitely not come back here again.
