Pancakes are one of the best I've tasted. They're fluffy like bunny's tail. The breakfast burritos are ok too much hash brown and not a lot of flavor. Overall I will come back just for the delicious pancakes. read more

It has definitely changed. Most of the menu items are a la carte it seems. The fries are no longer seasoned, at least mine weren't. I think their drive thru speaker is messed up because they did not give me at all what I ordered. The zucchini was not good, had a weird taste. The onion rings are bland. I love this place. Great food. The burger patties are thick and they give you a ton of onion rings! The breakfast burrito are also big.

It's a cool local spot if you're craving a breakfast burrito or a Belgian waffle. Their salsa lacks flavor so you're better off using homemade salsa. I go here a lot to get food. The food tastes good but was a lot better when I was a kiddo. One time some lady charged me $.50 for a side of onions which kind of got me mad. Other times they give me them for free. I was upset that day but got over it. Weekends are always packed. Once me and my side chick waited like 40 min for food... Not sure if this place is under new management but definitely not how it used to be. I ordered a waffle and it took 2 guys to try to remove it from the waffle maker did I mention they did it with there bare hands no gloves... SO DISGUSTING! So now that everyone's touched my waffle and they saw me looking they still tried to give it to me! When I called them on it... And asked why they weren't wearing gloves The waitress disregarded my question and said do you want something else? Seriously! This is unsanitary and I'm sure the HEALTH DEPT. Would not approve. Ive lived around here for years- and this is the best burger joint I've experienced yet! I normally go for the chili cheese fries ... Yum!!!!!!!!! .... But my family goes for the burgers . I'd take this place over any other burger joint any day. It's set up like a sit-in restaurant, but they normally get fast food orders - making this place the perfect place to chill with friends without annoying crowds or uncomfortable high end restaurant atmospheres & the best quality tasty food options. This is my regular burger place. Not the best but it gets the job done. The patty is kinda small but the chili fries are pretty good. I usually order the south gate special and it fills me up quickly. The milkshakes taste more like milk than they do shake. But I go here out of convenience. Really good burgers. Ever since they changed the buns it went from a 4 star to a 5 star for me. The pastrami is really good, but the burgers are the way to go. Almost forgot about the breakfast!!! I have been coming to this location for years and had never had an issue up on till two weeks ago and today! Rude, Rude, Rude snobby girl on the Drive thru! My first incident was two weeks ago. I placed my drive thru order and once at the window to pay I get my total but the young girl looked irritated, didn't greet me or nothing, just plain rude. I requested a dressing and it seemed as if I was talking to a wall. She didn't respond and threw the dressing in the bag. I said thank you and once again as if I was talking to a wall, she closed the window and walked away. I let it go but today was the last straw. My husband was placing our drive thru order and unfortunately the same girl was there taking our order. We ordered a chocolate shake and she kept saying vanilla. After my husband corrected her three times on the shake we arrived to the window and she gave us a vanilla shake! When my husband told her he ordered a chocolate shake she became defensive, gave him attitude and said she would change the flavor and slammed the window while she was saying the f word to the cooks referencing it to us. At that moment we had enough! My husband was calling her and she ignored him. He knocked on the window and honked his horn and she ignored him. The cook was telling her that we were calling for her and she still ignored us! Finally she decided to come to the window and we canceled our order. She stood there arguing with us. I told her to shut her mouth and requested a refund! Never again will I visit this restaurant! As long as this young ignorant, classless, rude girl is dealing with the customers they will start loosing the clientele! read more

I always come in and get the usual a bacon combo cheese burger, so far it's pretty good. Everything else is ok, the breakfast is pretty good except for the waffles they are kinda plain. Ok so the reason for this review, people there are pretty nice but the one thing I would change would be the whole debit checking I.D thing if your charging my food on a debit card there should be no reason your asking for an I.D. It's not like it's credit, I think If they changed that I would give this place a 4 stars. Shamefully I'm forced to give it 1 Star, but this restaurant has truly owned up to a complete Zero! Quite frankly taking the time to write a review is a waste of precious and valuable time, but needed because this restaurant is degrading and lacks regard to the community it "serves"! Monday morning 4/25/2016, I along w/ the family were denied use of the restroom! Yes indeed the restroom...after a graceful morning walk...the hubby and I along with our toddler paid the restaurant a visit...I approached the counter...Note was not greeted nor welcomed...once eye contact was made I asked to use the restroom key...w/out further dialogue..the lady was quick to respond..."The Restroom is for Customers Only", not surprised by this behavior, as this is typical of the employees...disregarding and unappreciative of its customers! I replied, "I'm Not a Customer?" She says, " Are you dining in ?" In reply, "We were considering it, but rather not!" This is truly a disgust to the South Gate community and my family as a whole! However, this service has been experienced in the past and Sunday's after church didn't allow for such negativity...As a result, this no longer became a restaurant of choice to enjoy breakfast Family time! For over 10 years...family, friends and coworkers frequented the restaurant, but slowly the visits dissipated because the service is awful, chaotic and order is never correct, but this here is the straw that broke the camels back and I appreciate this callus approach because she truly revealed the disregard and allowed for this to remind us Never to Step foot in this place ever again! Yet it's very disheartening because I can recall the dine-in moments seating over from the owner and his two young boys, as we enjoyed family and Sunday Breakfast before having to head out to safeguard our Community...As an LA County Deputy, we take pride in treating everyone with dignity and respect....truly a shame that these businesses are in our communities and allowed to treat people with such disregard and that this behavior becomes acceptable! read more
