But they could've used their auto email system to cancel. In any event, I never use a contactor (for any project) that doesn't keep their first appt or notifies before just not calling or showing up. That always spells trouble. There are too many landscapers who want business. So I'll never call them or visit their nursery ever again. I believe it was Woody Allen who once said, "Just showing up is 90 percent of life." Todd's fails.

My wife and I visited this location back in February/March to purchase spring/summer flowers and get a quote for a large landscaping project, along with some recommendations. We spoke with a staff member about flowers suited for full sunlight. One of the recommended flowers is still thriving in October, but the other didn't survive more than a month despite following the care instructions. for the landscaping quote, that's where the problems began. We were told by the same staff member to speak with someone else, who wrote down an "appointment" on a sticky note and supposedly entered it into the system. The appointment was scheduled for the end of May. My wife and I took the day off work for the quote, but no one showed up--nor did anyone call. A few days later, my wife called to ask what happened. A different staff member said the person responsible would call back that day or the next--but again, zero contact. Fast forward to October, and we've never heard a word from Todd's Nursery. We've since handled our landscaping project ourselves, likely at a lower cost, and honestly, after witnessing their incompetence, we're glad we did. If this is how they handle quotes, we can only imagine how poor the actual service and timing would have been. Bottom line: complete lack of customer service, consideration, and professionalism. Don't waste your time requesting quotes from Todd's Nursery--look elsewhere for companies that value their customers and actually want to do business.

I purchased one of their Palm Trees just before closing last Friday night. I spoke to my daughter that evening and discovered that my kids had gone together and bought me a Palm Tree for Mother's Day. At 9am Saturday I returned with the tree and explained that my family had purchased a tree for me and would be heartbroken that I had already bought one. It was still in the original bag and I had the receipt. The owner wasn't there. The employee texted him and his response was "No, we sell these for a third party so we don't refund". I bought it just before they closed Friday and was there right after opening Saturday. I am certain he still had my money and hadn't yet paid it to "a third party". Not the way I'm used to be treated by a retailer who cares about their customers!! Seriously, I've had better service at Walmart. I will never go back and will share my story with my South Hill friends and neighbors.

We got a massive tree at a very reasonable price. Customer service was excellent and it had the same smell as the hardware store I used to go to for popcorn when I was a kid. The only down side, and it isn't much of one, is I wish they trimmed the tree when you bought it. When we got home we had to do a little snipping in our apartment to take care of stray branches.
