I felt compelled to write this review about Tom's Towers Flowers if you were considering them as your wedding florist. This is mostly in regard to Jan the owner and not Tom, employees or the quality of flowers itself. It's about business ethics and customer care. My wedding is on 10/5/2025. I hired Towers Flowers two months ago because they had this beautiful arch I liked at the Bridal Expo. After a 25 min consultation meeting with Jan, I got upsold bouquets/sweetheart table runner as well. The center pieces were $250 for low and $350 for high which were quite expensive compared to some other florists. But I wanted to give them money since they were letting me rent the arch. I paid them in full which was a huge mistake. When I read over the original invoice again this week, I noticed there was one flower I'd like to add so I called Jan. Immediately her tune switched from our initial consultation. She refused to add the light blue flower or change anything on the invoice. She condescendingly said that she knows way more than me due to her experience and what flowers would wilt in bouquets. I felt off and decided to drive to the store to cancel the bouquets/sweetheart table runner. The first thing that came out of Jan's mouth was "why did you waste my time? Were you even looking for flowers?" Her other employee heard her and were shocked. I told her that I just want a refund of the flowers and that I'd keep the arch. And she said that she can't cancel the order now, and that she as the owner didn't have the authority to write a refund check back to me. Kim the bookkeeper who can write the check already left 15 mins ago. I knew that was a lie so I kept pressing on about why she as the owner can't write a refund check if we as customers can change the order 21 days before the wedding date. In the end she mended the contract, wrote a refund check but added a hidden fee I wasn't aware of. I went home and noticed she added a "consultation fee" of $100 even though the website said FREE consultation. Immediately I felt that Jan would screw me over on my wedding day and purposely delay the arch delivery (as previous reviews have mentioned). Before we left the store, Jan mockingly commented"next time don't pay in full" and I said "I won't" and she slyly said "I hope there won't be a next time with you." I could not sleep well that night knowing they were responsible for one of the biggest decoration parts of my ceremony. I decided to go back again for the third time (3 hours round trip). I called Jan that morning before I went and she was again very rude. She said that her still selling me the arch after cancelling the bouquets order was her doing me a favor. That just delivering the arch without other flowers was a huge inconvenience to them. Even though I was charged $600 + $250 delivery fee + taxes/fees which totaled to $1,000+ for this and my venue was just 40 mins away from them. She said if I wanted to cancel fully now I'd have to be charged another cancellation fee. I brought up the $100 consultation fee on my mended bill that was charged without my knowledge the day before. And she said that I wasted her time and that's me paying for her time. She only sat down with me for 25 mins for one consultation to type up an invoice. I thought that was her job. All I've gotten was grief after hiring them. I can't imagine how awful they would've been on my wedding day. Thankfully, Tom the other owner who was there when I went back agreed to refund me fully in the end. He also overheard Jan's rude comments to me and said she must've had an off day. I don't think anyone should have to backpedal for a floral consultant who is also the owner. Due to Jan's immoral business practices and hidden fees, I do not recommend Tom's Towers Flowers. read more

Lafaun was so pleasant and efficient! My colleague and I were shopping around to have flowers delivered to a funeral home- we almost gave up until we called Towers Flowers and spoke with Lafaun, who was so understanding of our frustration with the other shops. We were able to place our order in less than five minutes! The flowers were delivered and our friend was so happy with the quality! Decided to try a local florist for this Valentine's Day, and Tom's didn't disappoint. They made a lovely assorted bouquet that my wife loved. The flowers were ready for pickup on time. They also have a delivery option. You pay a little more at these boutique shops compared to big chains like 1-800-Flowers, but the quality and consistency makes up for it. After many calls, fromyouflowers.com wasn't able to come through, even though I had ordered days in advance and told me at 3pm on the day of delivery (the Friday of a holiday weekend). I took a chance and googled a local florist. Towers Flowers came up and I'm so glad they did! I spoke with Melissa and the were delivered within an hour!!! Terrible. Back in May we came in and had a sit down for our November wedding. She didn't have orange roses and told us she would call us that weekend or week after when they come in so we could see how they look. She put our whole order in the computer as if we were a guarantee sale when we hadn't seen the flowers yet. Well we NEVER heard from her again, so today I called and cancelled the order she put in. Also, she tried charging us $30 per table to rent the tall vases. Found a place who included them for free and who actually called us back to show us orange roses. Beware brides and grooms! I just got married last week on Fire Island. And, of course, I had to have at least one hiccup along the way - my original florist backed out two weeks before the wedding. So my vendor suggested Towers. I don't know why I even began anywhere else. Towers was amazing! I called in my little panic and they calmed me down totally. I told them about my hippie beach vibe and that we liked yellow, blue, and green flowers, and also to add at least one spider mum (they added three!). I needed a flower crown and bouquet. They were so accommodating, especially last minute during prom and wedding season. My friend picked them up and said it was the easiest thing. They packaged the flowers so they were fresh and safe for ferry travel. The flowers were beautiful. Such a wonderful addition to the look of the day. I wore the flower crown all night. I really felt like a beachy princess. I think the most impressive thing is that I never went to see the flowers. They got me and my decor perfectly. It was awesome. Recently I've forgotten that I did not order flowers for my niece for graduation party I called like four 10:00 in the afternoon towards flowers and color my dilemma and ask them if it's any way possible I think something sent to my niece because I could not be there in person and I do not want to disappoint her that her Godfather wasn't there I spoke to an incredible staff person and who was empathetic kind and blink of an eye shed I can do it I'll make it up and I'll deliver it myself . I knew that I better happen everyone smile on one wonderful young lady face and my spirit will be there and she will know it . I've never experienced such kindness as I spoke to the florist and I knew that it was not an ordinary job for her that she loved making people happy she loved watching people when they got flowers and if you love making them if you knew that they would always bring a smile to someone's face which they did and I can't explain it the experience I had was very humbling and actually brought tears from my eyes because I don't experience someone going to the distance in many businesses Not only was it beautiful work but managed to do it in less than an hour and a half without having me feel like a burden . Of course, I waited until the last minute to send flowers to my wife for our anniversary but the crew at Tower Florist really pulled through for me. They made it happen so she didn't know the difference. I called first thing in the morning, to see if they could deliver a dozen vased-roses the same day, and they said they would try to work it into their schedule. My wife loved them!! Obviously she was too busy to even attempt to take our business. Caught very off guard by the extreme rudeness, and disrespect we were treated with, we left and will take our business elsewhere. I just ordered flowers for my Mother for Mother's Day and some of the flowers were wilted and some of the heads of the flowers were broken and hanging off the stems. Won't order from Tom's Towers Flowers again. I've lived in West Islip my whole life and towers flowers has always been known for not having very good flowers but I decided to give it a try and I don't think I will again. I'm pretty upset because I've been going through a lot and I really wanted to do something nice for my Mother. My friend ordered flowers from here weeks prior to Valentine's Day for me. When the day arrived, I thanked her for sending it to me and sent her a photo of my beautiful roses. She told me that she didn't order roses for me, then questioned me and asked if I received anything else? I said no, the roses were it. She said I was to get chocolates and a teddy bear with a different kind of flower. I said no, nothing else came. She called the company and they said that they ran out of the flowers, chocolate and teddy bear. But they weren't going to inform her of this change? They just decided to pick anything they thought was decent and give it to me. I think that is such terrible service. After she spoke to them, she eventually got her money back for all of it. They weren't going to inform her and take her money for everything else she ordered. Luckily she saw her final order. After that stunt, I wouldn't recommend it. I don't care how busy of a "holiday" it is. That is NOT good customer service. read more

To say i'm extremely disheartned and dissapointed in Towers Flowers is an understatement. My first experience with this store was fantastic. I purchased a bouquet of flowers for my, at the time, fiance and future mother in law, the day of her bridal shower. They were among the most beautiful flowers I have ever purchased. So knowing the reaction that these bouquets recieved, it was a no brainer that on my WEDDING DAY, I was going to purchase flowers here, to be sent to my wife's parents house, to surprise her as she was getting ready! Our wedding was August 31, 2018, and I placed the order on August 23, 2018. In the notations I had requested that the flowers be delievered as early as possible, as she would be leaving her home for the ceremony by 1 pm. WELL, not only did they not get delievered early on our wedding day, they were NOT DELIVERED AT ALL!!!! To spend the money that I spent, for my wife on her wedding day, and the flowers not show up for her is an absolute disgrace! I cant believe the disappointment and aggravation it caused me on my wedding day. While I wasnt going to let this put a damper on my day, I was pissed seeing as how my prior experience with Towers was so impressive, I had to go back for more!! My sister in law called the store in a rather angry tone that day on my behalf. I was too busy with wedding related activities. I was promised a refund on August 31, AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT!!! Orders a basket for a friends wake. It was absolutely gorgeous! We met with the owner Tom Francoeur. He couldn't gave been more helpful in helping us choose the right arrangement. I cannot express how disappointed I was with the arrangements and service I received from towers flowers for my wedding day. I am from West Islip and have been using towers flowers for many years and unfortunately they have lost my and my family's business permanently. I ordered my wedding arrangements over a year in advance for my 10/20 wedding date. First, my husband wanted to surprise me one year prior to the wedding with a centerpiece I had ordered from Jan. Jan sent a centerpiece which was completely different than what I requested initially. Fast forward to the day of our wedding - the flowers came almost one hour late which interfered with the photographer's schedule. The bouquets (both mine and my bridesmaids) where not the colors I ordered. I requested the bridesmaid bouquets to have various shades of blush, cream and burgundy and they were completely white. I requested mine to have similar shades with more burgundy tones which it did not. For the groomsman boutonnières, I ordered a small leafy arrangement with gold and red berries (which Jan clearly showed my at my initial visit and looked beautiful). What came the day of was a leaf with a neon green berry which completely didn't match with the other arrangements. My table centerpieces were supposed to be in white pumpkins and oblong so guests could see over them. Jan reassured me that this would not be a problem. The centerpieces that were delivered on the day of where tall and in pumpkins that were painted white. I was told she would be able to provide white pumpkins without issue. Finally, we ordered a large centerpiece for the opening room of the cocktail hour. We paid extra for this arrangement, however, it was not delivered until cocktail hour was over. Needless to say, the guests nor myself even saw the arrangement. We called Jan after the wedding to express these concerns. We were barely given an apology or explanation. We were not offered any money back. If you are between florists for your wedding I would highly advise steering clear of towers flowers! read more

MY family and I just ordered 5 flower arrangements from your shop for a funeral. We couldn't have been more disappointed. We got something similar to what we asked for but if you couldn't fulfill the order completely, I wish you would have told us. You take a phone number with the order so there is no reason why you can't make a 25 cent (probably free) phone call. NOT 1 ARRANGEMENT OUT OF 5 COULD YOUR PLACE GET CORRECT. 1. We ordered a large plant basket with mixed plants that was beautiful BUT with the wrong wording on the sash. It said beloved nephew instead of beloved cuz. 2. We ordered a large plant with a braided branch. This arrangement looked pitiful next to the arrangement listed above. They were the same price. This was too embarrassing for words. This is the arrangement that was for the beloved nephew. You would think sending 2 nephew arrangements, someone would double check the order to make sure that was correct. 3. We ordered a plant that was supposed to be green and white with a few red roses. We requested a peace lily which your shop said that was fine. We got NO red roses and no peace lily in the arrangement. 4. We ordered a funeral cross with white flowers and a single red rose in the center. The arrangement had a diagonal row of red roses. 5. We ordered a dozen red roses and you put together a mixed colored arrangement of roses. We did call to complain about the nephew arrangement. That was too embarrassing to let slide. You did come to correct it. It wasn't till later that we looked more carefully at the other ones. When your grieving a loved one, you want certain things done for a reason. That wasn't important to you. I hope you enjoy your new location because as far as I'm concerned ... I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP OR PATRONIZE TOWERS FLOWERS IN WEST ISLIP AGAIN. read more

I told the lady and she gave me another bouquet and they were all dried and was full of leaves. The overall price was $38. I'm not coming here ever again. This is so shameful. read more
