A cute little hidden gem! We were in the area having lunch with our son, and everyone wanted ice cream afterward. Honestly, if I had just been driving by, I probably wouldn't have stopped, but we found Tonali's online and decided to give it a try since it was the only place nearby with ice cream. I'm so glad we did! The guy working behind the counter was super nice and welcoming, and he even gave us some free donut holes to try, which was such a nice surprise! Their pastries looked absolutely delicious, so we grabbed some to take home for the kids. We all got ice cream and sat down to enjoy it. It's definitely a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but it has its own charm and a cozy, unpretentious feel. I was on my way to work and was in the mood for some donuts and wanted a place I could stop by that was convenient. I saw this place on Maps and figured Id stop by to grab a couple donuts. From the outside it doesn't look like much. Just another hole in the wall place. But don't let looks deceive you... I came in and ordered a chocolate bar and a cinnamon crunch twist. The order came out to $4.58. I only had four $1 and a $10 so I went to pay with a ten dollar bill. The lady apologized kindly and told me they were all out of ones and that she would take the $4 if that's all I had. So kind! I told her I had .58 cents in my car so I went and grabbed that and paid. I took my first bite from the chocolate bar and it was soooo soft and fluffy and fresh. Kind of like what you think a big fluffy cloud might feel like if you bite into it. And to my surprise she had even threw in 10 free donut holes!! I didn't even notice until I had driven away and opened up my bag. My gosh. Best donut experience I've had thus far. 10/10 would recommend stopping by!! Also side note. They sell discounted day old donuts on a separate rack and let you know they are a day old before you order them. No scamming, no bs, just transparency. Forget VooDoo donuts and all the other chain places, this is still the best place to get the freshest, tastiest donuts in Vancouver. They are on DoorDash and within 20 minutes I have my order. If they don't have what I want they personally call me and ask me what to replace it with. Prices didn't double after Covid like so many others. My husband and I dropped in after having driven by Tonallis several times. The lovely worker suggested the crueler donut so we purchased the maple crueler. My husband has tried many cruelers in America but hasn't found any that come near the taste and quality as his favorites from Canada. Ack! Skip this one. The staff is friendly, the establishment is clean, and the prices are low, but that's all I can say about Tonallis's redeeming qualities. I didn't try their ice cream, but got a dozen donuts to go. While soft, they still somehow taste completely stale and just "off" somehow. My kids generally eat donuts regardless of how bad I find them, but thee quarters of these got thrown in the trash the next day (they hated them). That definitely attests to just how bad these were. They were just alright. But to be fair we ordered donuts at the end of the day. So maybe that's why they seemed a bit stale. But we've ordered donuts at the end of the day from other places and didn't have the same so/so experience. So who's to say maybe this is their norm, or maybe it was due to how late in the afternoon we had ordered them. But they definitely seemed like older donuts. We popped them in the microwave for 10 seconds and they were much better! We had the homer donut, that was a nice flavor with a strawberry icing. Hands down I think some of the best doughnuts I have ever had! I purchased a dozen for a Portland client of mine. Portland is a foodie hub and prides itself on good pizza and doughnuts amongst other foods. I had to find a place worth impressing to the Portland foodies. The price was very reasonable and gave us a good variety although I just chose bakers choice. One of the owners (I believe) gave me a few gourmet doughnuts on the house as well! We spent $42 on donuts ordering through doordash and didn't eat over half of them. I ordered maple bars with bacon on it and was substitute with twists (you can't sub ANYTHING for a maple bar with bacon) and my hubby loves plain crullers...he got a maple one and 2 red velvet crullers. Those all got tossed, none of us eat those. My cream filled donuts were substituted with jelly (we don't like jelly filled donuts). I was shocked that they didn't contact me and ask about any substitutions. I've been contacted by restaurants before and $42 is a lot to spend on donuts. I guess our next try is Mr. Maple read more

Omg! Not sure how this place's rating is so low. The donuts were fantastic! I popped in unplanned after hitting up Top Choice next door. Kids were blowing my phone up please asking what I'm bringing home to eat so I saw donuts and jumped. What a cool little spot! You walk in to some yummy donut sights and smells which compels you to buy more. I picked a random dozen and took off. The mixed dozen of fancy and basic was $11.98 plus tax. Not bad, not bad. The whole ride home, my car was smelling like yummies. After getting home, we pulled out about half of and cut them in half. They reminded me of less extravagant donuts from the big tourist spots in Portland, but less weighed down by grease and fruity cereals. Y'all, they were so good! Light and fluffy with a good combination of sweet and savory. The maple bar with bacon and bear claw shaped apple fritter we're the bomb! My only suggestion would be for the workers to pack the donuts differently in the box. My mix was stacked on top of one another, squishing the ones on the bottom. Regardless, I am now a big fan! I'm a self proclaimed donut expert. 30 years, retired, Los Angeles Police Officer. The actual name for this place should be "Cop Manna". The donuts are delicious here. The associate who helped us was a delight to be with. She was friendly and very helpful. I'm from Southern California visiting my brother and his wife who live in Vancouver.
