WATCH OUT FOR OVERCHARGING! Do not leave without out checking your bill, we had a group of 7 with 4 separate bills and 3 of the 4 bills were overcharged by $6-$8. No apologies for it either. Worst food i've had in a long time. The service was bad as well. Ordered red chili burrito, empanadas, and two tacos. Took almost an hour to get our food. The reason for 2 stars is due to their lack of customer service and inconsistent carnitas. Several separate orders resulted in several different experiences, never knew quite what we would get but we kept chasing the dragon because we had delicious carnitas once upon a time. The last straw was when we placed a to-go order for 6 tacos and a plate of beans, they said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We showed up about 25 minutes later and was told our food would be right up. 10 minutes go by, then 20 -- I'm growing concerned but am reassured it'll be right out. Turns out they lost the ticket and had to take my order again, what a waste of time and money. You're better off buying some meat at Goodwins and making tacos at home read more

It was 15 minutes before I had to remind them that I ordered a burrito. They disappeared into the kitchen and returned one minute later with some loosely wrapped thing that fell apart. Except for one waitress the staff was arrogant. The food didn't taste bad, but straight up feel like I got ripped off for $15. Didn't offer a table or as if I wanted a drink. Never got a drink. Even an excellent burrito shouldn't cost $15. I will never eat there again, and I will never recommend the place again. I used too. And because I feel like they ripped me off I hope this honest review will cost them some business. Lousy service even for a time where lousy service is common. read more

I've been coming here for about 2-3 years and up until now it was amazing. Unfortunately in about the past 6 months the customer service has become horrible. I was there about a week ago and to start with I had to repeat my order 3 times, she came back a few seconds after leaving to then clarify my order for a fourth time, she was still wrong, before putting in our orders. I ordered some tacos with beans and rice and my partner got a dry chimichanga burrito. Unfortunately when our orders finally arrived, after having it clarified 4 times, his was smothered in sauce and my tacos were loaded with tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro and sauce which they didn't even ask if I wanted. Now first of all cilantro tastes like soap to me so Immediately my whole order is ruined along with everything else they put on my tacos. Me being autistic I'm very particular about what and how I eat food, I already cook most of mine because I'm so "picky" so I try to make it easy for restaurants, yet our orders still came out wrong with no apologies or anything. When my tacos with beans and rice did come out there was a French fry in my beans, if that got in what else is in my food?, and the el pastor tasted more like chorizo. The chicken had more water than it ever should and they didn't give me any limes at which point I just gave up eating because I'm not going to send my food back a second time. No one even checked to see if we wanted more drinks or water. I will just make something at home. I can now see why their restaurant hasn't been as busy as it was a year ago. I can't say I'll be eating their food again, maybe I'll stop by for drinks but the service and quality has gone down significantly which is bummer, this used to be my favorite place to eat and now I'll have to find a new one. My partner then told them how I found a fry in my rice and beans and I had to repeat what he said 3 times, and it wasn't until I made it very clear that I was upset about finding a foreign food in my rice and beans and explained that I found food that wasn't supposed to be in the food that I ordered, that she finally apologized although she still looked like she didn't understand. This was not a busy day, we arrived at around 4pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant for about 45 minutes. There's no reason our experience and service was so horrible. I even watched as one came out of the bathroom to fix her hair and at the same time two more coming out of the kitchen after disappearing for 20 minutes. Why were they all off the floor? No clue. Just horrible staff that clearly didn't want to work. Update; the food lasted in my stomach for less than an hour before I was puking it all up and wishing I had gone anywhere else to eat. Placed a phone order for pick up this morning. Each item was ordered separately and the order taker, Jose did not ask any clarification questions. When we had finished placing our order he simply asked if there was anything else and stated the time the order would be ready. While placing the order I thought my order was understood even with the volume of the music playing in the background being louder than the voice of the order taker. When we arrived I waited to enter the store as there was another patron at the cashier. I entered when the other patron left. While I was completing the transaction the other people with me came inside and the cashier, Jose rudely told them they had to wait outside. We explained they were with me and he allowed them to enter. Jose said in a rude manner our order was on the table behind us. We checked the order and noted that one of the items ordered was missing. We questioned Jose who said we didn't order that item. I challenged the statement. Jose was emphatic that the item had not been ordered. So we placed an order for the missing item and paid for it. While we were waiting for the additional item another customer arrived and was allowed to enter without comment, and then a third customer arrived and was allowed to enter without comment. The 6 foot physical distance was not followed. At this point there were six people standing inside the store near the cash register and six feet of distance between us was not possible. Jose never said a word to either of the customers after they entered the store. We waited for several minutes, while orders for the diners on the patio were walked past us. After which we asked how much longer it would be for the extra item. Jose said he didn't know how long it would take. When we commented that our other food was now cold, Jose responded with "so what?" When pressed further for how long it would take, Jose said again that he didn't know how long it would take and walked away. At this point all of us were upset as we had hungry children at home and the person that should be helping us was being rude and had a bad attitude. He commented at one point that the mix up was not his fault and we had no right to be upset. It was at this point we canceled the order and asked for our money back. Jose processed the return but offered no apology and did not seem to care that they lost a customer. I live just down the street from this restaurant so it was convenient for us to order take out from them. I've never found their food to be that good and usually dry for me, but we ordered from them because of the convenience to our home. I won't be ordering from them anymore as the customer service was awful and they truly didn't seem to care about the customer in this instance. read more

Toni's is my fiancé and I's favorite Mexican restaurant on the mountain without question. Hmmm. Let's see, what can I recommend..... I love their shrimp plates...all of them! Especially the garlic + butter shrimp with onions! Even a simple burrito is satisfying (bean + cheese with fries inside...stop it!! so bomb). #16 the asada with enchilada is sooo good. Their chilaquiles breakfast is delicious. Oh! Try their "Queso Fundito" appetizer w/ chorizo! My fiancé loves their empanadas and sopes. The sopes are HUGE! You don't even need any sides with it. Their enchilada plate is always our go-to dinner and their pork tamales are juicy & flavorful. I like to get 1 of each. Don't even get me started on their Pozole. On a cold day with all the fixings they provide on the side...So soothing! Ooohhh and their shrimp salad in a taco bowl with avocado is a favorite, too! All their servers are very nice, and Miguel actually takes his time to get to know the customers and even remembers our orders. We love Toni's so much we want our wedding rehearsal dinner here!!! I've truly never witnessed more unprofessional behavior + rude behavior.. and by the OWNER nonetheless!! My husband accidentally parked in the wrong spot and was asked to move his car (which he immediately did, no hesitation). The owner came out and was talking shit on my husband with the owner of the smoke shop next door RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. We decided to not let it ruin our evening and stayed to order a meal. The meal itself was a 5/10. Very bland and over oiled. Then I actually learned from some locals Toni's does not treat tourists kindly, locals told me they are actually perpetually rude to them. This is great Mexican place with a full menu and bar! Taco Tuesday deals are awesome! The owner is always so nice and the staff is friendly. They have a great outdoor spot for dining that makes you feel like you're at a restaurant. Covid has been rough on businesses but this place has got it down. The mango margarita with tajin and chamoy is awesome! My only complaint is how expensive the burritos are, but that's not enough to take away a star! read more

First time staying in Crestline by Lake Gregory. We decided for the last day that instead of cooking we would order take out. We get to the restaurant and there was only a couple there eating. No other person. Placed my order which was a shrimp cocktail and shrimp ceviche. I waited over an hour and twenty minutes do receive my food. They was a family who showed up to dine in 30 minutes after my order was placed and was already eating. They even sent a dish back because it was wrong and still got it before I received my food to go. Remember I just ordered ceviche and a shrimp cocktail. That being said, I gave the 2.5 stars for the food because it was really delicious and they weren't skimpy on the amount they gave you. I would have given them a better tasting if I didn't wait along time and it was kind of pricey about 35 dollars got both dishes. read more

I was surprised at how much food I was given in my to-go bag, until I realized it was because it was all packaged in big Styrofoam containers. I had a hard time enjoying the food knowing that the packaging it was in would never disappear. Ever again on earth. It costs about an extra two cents to use packaging that isn't Styrofoam. This is obviously a place that doesn't care about the environment, which is very surprising considering it is right near Lake Gregory. Please don't be selfish to save a few pennies. Please use better packaging. The cheese got stuck to the Styrofoam, and it was really unappetizing trying to scrape it off the Styrofoam. I guess it's not surprising that this restaurant management is selfish, considering I saw the owner and the waiter both not wearing masks while working around the restaurant. read more
