Horrible experience. Very rude & pushy. Tony was completely inappropriate & made me feel uncomfortable. I was shocked at how Tony and his employer, Nathan, were talking. Everything was fine at first until we talked about shopping around a little more and coming back later. This turned into a big ordeal with inappropriate remarks and tension. I would never recommend any friends or family I have to go there. We ended up buying a car from Chevy and do not regret the decision one bit. wife and I yesterday came into this car lot and we were looking at a 2018 Nissan versa blue with 56,000 miles a little over 13,000 out the door it was okay car but it was pretty basic which is okay but I want to be added security features so what we bought what's the 2019 Nissan versa note. 30000 MI powertrain warranty Nissan warranty car lot warranty forgiveness insurance my payments went up a little bit but my insurance went down the same amount so I'm really not paying any more for this car then the other one would have been I have a 7 year lease on it and as you can see by the car and me I have to lose about 50 lb to be able to sit comfortably but it's incentive this is the first new car I've ever owned it gets 40 miles to the gallon I got it for a good price Tony Joe and his wife Julie and their staff that included stan we're great professional courteous they offered us water they shared pizza with us and though the process was a bit longer that I liked it took about 2 hours or more it was worth it after we signed all the papers they even gave me a gas card how cool is that. I would not recommended Tony Joe's Wholesale. Although I felt very little pressure, once they knew that were were not going to sign the deal that they proposed we were pretty much ignored from that point on. After calling 5-6 times to talk with Tony regarding our deal within the next several days, I was told he was too busy for me. He never called me back. If they called me back I probably would be driving the van we were trying to finance. I ended up going somewhere else and getting a better deal anyway so I am glad they treated me so poorly. read more

Well, I'm not sure where to even start , I guess my biggest problem was with the self proclaimed "general manager" Nate. Needs lessons in honesty and being humble. He was too busy telling me that the info I had was wrong and he was always right. Because he has been selling cars for 19 years makes him above all others and that includes the customer. And the fact that he went on the test drive with us was the most uncomfortable drive I've been on since ... well, ever. The car was nice, but his sales approach and sales skills were garbage. I honestly wouldn't want him selling me a Big Mac. Not saying everyone there is a tool but that guy for sure is.... just a typical crappy sales experience from the second we stepped on the lot til we walked off. We found a better car for cheaper out of town and did it all with out having this over bearing idiot talk down to us the whole time. I would avoid this car lot, if at all possible. Two days ago, my husband and I went here to look for a car. We were met by Stan and took us through the beginning paperwork of buying a car from them. I went on a test drive in a car I thought I liked. When we got back, he was pressuring us pretty hard to get this car, even though I kept saying that it wasn't right for us. he just kept repeating "So, what do I have to do to get you into this car today" He would not take no for an answer. Finally, after flat-out telling him I didn't want the car, he let us go. This place is ridiculous, and Stan is a creep. When we went to a few other nearby lots, several of them said to avoid Tony Joes entirely, and made comments about them being criminals. read more

Purchased a vehicle from them last summer. Had a "trade-in" with the purchase. 6 months later DMV is sending paper work for renewing registration. They had a error in their paperwork that went to DMV. Placed them as the lien holder and me as the owner. DMV says Tony Joes needs to fix paperwork. WORST post customer service I have had in a long time. Tony Joe's in a very short answer " not us" "tell DMV to fix it". We get this frequently. (Been there done that before going to them). DMV states Tony Joe's need to fix their paperwork. Tony Joe's Is all about the sale and no follow up. Usual used car lot. read more

So here is our story, very disappointed to say the least. Two months ago I went into Tony Joe's to look at a white Toyota Corolla on his lot. It was a nice experience, I met a salesman named Anthony who happened to know my son and it was nice to share something in common. I was supposed to sell my Ford SUV that night, but for some reason the lady that wanted it did not have the original money she promised delivered to her for her used vehicle, so the Corolla for me that day was not going to happen. While I was at the lot, I met Tony's wife ( I believe) and a few others,everyone was very nice and helpful. Anthony had filled out a credit report on me (my credit is in the 500's so I know its well below average and more on the poor side). I had just 9 months on my new job, and if I had sold my SUV I would have had a $2500 down on this $13K car. Tony came out and told me that I could qualify for about $13K max. He was very kind and explained the integrity they have and how they want to find me something. He told me to call Anthony the minute I received my money from my SUV and I could come in and finish up the process. When I found out my car was not able to be sold that night, I called Anthony the next day, he understood and told me when I get it sold to call. Tony himself called me anther two times over the next few days to follow up as did Anthony Well here we are 7 weeks later, again I have a promise to be paid from a couple who wants my SUV. The Corolla is long gone and so is Anthony unfortunately. I met up with a salesman named Conner, ironically he knows my son too. Conner was working hard to help me find another vehicle and did everything correctly. Again however, the people I sold too let me keep the $100 deposit and they bought something cheaper. I received a call from Conner this morning as a followup. (I told him I would not be in today to buy a car). Conner mentioned I should come in today and use my car as trade. Knowing my car was not going to get anything in trade value, I told him it would be a waste of time, he insisted saying they could work something out between, (Mike & Tony) doing finance? So I thought why not try? Conner had me test drive two vehicles, a Hyundai Elantra, and a Kia Optima. I liked the Kia most.We went in to work numbers, I noticed the Kia was a few thousand over my approval that Tony gave me from the last visit. I explained this to Conner, who said no worry its a car that has been here a while and they want to move it so it would be a car they can work into my price range. He then asked me to initial a sheet of paper about my vehicle, year, make, etc..As I did I noticed Conner had written that I wanted $3000 for my trade. I laughed and told him I am a realist and that is not practical seeing that KBB value was private party sale was $2594? He said don't worry and winked at me, again stressing the two men that do the finance etc..I gave him all the info he needed on my credit app and he went into the office. After 40 minutes, Tony and another man emerge to sit with me. Conner in the background. Tony introduces himself and I mentioned we had met before,and how we discussed the same illness that he shared with my wife. I told him how he came out and talked to me about the Corolla last visit and how much he approved me for with the higher interest rate. His first words were "we're not here to talk about cancer, we have some problems here". I asked what they were? He said "you have been on your job just 10 months, I did not bring in any verifiable income" (which I responded I can do that, I can get into ADP and print it out,but you have all that from the last visit? He then started to chastise me about asking for $3000 for my trade at which point I told him, I didn't, his salesman recommended it? Tony replied with, "we don't keep things that long here". I didn't know this, so I said "ok". He continued with "you have to bring in a utility bill, give him 10 references, and a few other things. I was curious and asked him why? I did not have to do this last time. Tony's reply was "so has any other dealer given you credit?" It was said in such a demeaning way. It was like I was being persecuted for trying to buy a car from him? I gently pushed the paper back to him and said no problem , I can look somewhere else. It was already a very real feeling of him either not wanting my business, or he thought less of me because of it? With a wife having stage 4 cancer for the last 15 years, yeah my credit is not good at all, but paying a chemo bill VS a VISA card is a no brainer.Tony then said to just leave and go elsewhere, again in a very demeaning way, at which point I got upset and told Conner "your a nice kid, go get yourself a job on a car lot where they treat people with respect and you can feel good about yourself". Tony proceeded to come at me in an aggressive manner yelling at me that I would not be welcome in his dealership again! Who on earth would even want too? Go elsewhere !!! read more

*** DO not give your business to these people!! They are still ripping people off and do not stand behind what they sell!!**** Had the worst experience of my life with these people! We bought a vehicle, had it for 5 months, always paid on time or early and always paid more than was due. I was in a crash and the vehicle was totalled. Since we had a decent experience with Tony Joe we decided to go back for another car. There was nothing there that I really liked, but I felt bullied into a car. I should have stood up for myself but I just got the car. The night I drove it home from the lot the dash lights didn't work. I had it looked at and it was going to be $225 to fix the switch. Tony Joes response was, "You should have bought the warrenty." So then a week later my check engine light came on, the transmission started to slip and my other gauges flash off and on. We had given Tony Joe Checks to hold for our downpayment which he was holding till we brought him cash, he started cashing those before they were due causing us overdrafts fees that he refused to reimburse us for. The final straw was a month later when our first payment was due. My husband had started a new job and his check was going to make us a couple days late. I called and told them and immediatly they said I had till noon the next day to make our payment or it would be repoed. We were then harassed with dozens of calls from Ron (salesman) saying we would "be in for a world of hurt", that we "don't want our guys at your house!" and that we "would be sorry for this." WE went in to purchase a vehicle Stan the pathetic salesman that smokes cigarettes in front of customers finally sold us a car we drove off the lot two days later the cars diagnostic started flashing the car started shutting off the battery was dead and the wires were worn out, there are three different tires on the car it was sold without a spare tire. They refuse to fix the car or replace the bald tire they sold it with. They repossessed my car for $38.00 we had to pay tony joes the repossession fee then the car was taken to Orville were Kevin from Repo Depo refused to give us our car after paying ALL my fees Kevin said he did not have to release the car it was his now, finally when we got the car back we had to pay additional repossession fees to kevin, due to the car being in orville causing us to pay for additional storage.Nathan Tony Doug all are ignorant rude disrespectful people who talk to customers ( after you buy a car) like you are complete pigs! They spoke to my dad like he was beneath them and had my 16 year old daughter crying. Julie Ford works behind the scenes and acts like they are always so busy and pretends to know nothing. Beware of this dealership.They reposessed my vehicle when I owed $117.They never contacted me by mail or phone until the day they took it and that was on a Saturday and I needed to sign for the letter but the post offices are all closed.They do not give you any type of payment book or reciepts when you make payment's ever.They have now rudely informed me that I must pay $1100 to get the vehicle back.These charges are all things they have added,reposession charges and storage etc. etc.The day I bought it Tony himself said they have no grace period and a day late they will come for the vehicle.I should have said "NO THANKS" and reported them to DMV investigations.They are a second chance buying scam so please beware!!!!!! read more
