We would give them zero stars if possible. They took advantage of my elderly mother and father in law. They gave them less than blue book trade in value and sold them a truck that the check engine light came on after only ~300 miles. A scan of the vehicle showed EGR issues and low coolant, as well as the check engine light was cleared just before they bought the truck. I hope everyone that has a bad experience with them files a complaint with the better business bureau, because they currently an A+ rating and don't deserve it. read more

Great customer service at first. Then the paint on my Honda Pilot began falling off 1 week later. They refuse to do anything about it. Absolute lemon. Paint started falling of the door then the hood. Test drove a Ford F-150 truck, and while on the drive the oil pressure light came on and the salesman (Will not say his name) said "that's not good, hopefully it's not serious". So we quickly headed back to the dealership and I was promised they would fix the truck and let me take it out again once they get everything tested And repaired if needed. That night I decided to check the site again and low and behold...the same truck is now listed a $1000 cheaper!!! I recently purchased a pickup from this dealership for my son prior to his 16th birthday. on my way home the TPMS light came on. After taking it to two tire shops they finally removed one of the tires and found that there were no sensors in the wheels. I began asking around and I will not share the name of the shop but was informed that Redding Car and Truck brings tires and wheels in loose and askes them not to install tire sensors to save $. I realize there is no way that this vehicle went through there acclaimed 19 point safety inspection. My son was in love with the vehicle so I went ahead and paid to have new sensors installed. Only a week later on the day of my sons driving test (on his Birthday) we drove the truck to the DMV. As we are pulling into the parking lot all of the lights in the dash light up and it looses power steering. This caused my us to have to reschedule his test. At the time the DMV was over a month out on test scheduling. My son was heart broken. After having the pick towed to a repair shop it was brought to my attention that the vehicle had prior damage underneath that caused the electronic power steering module to fail. It was apparent that someone had scabbed it together with a temporary fix that just happen to fail at the worst time ( also should have been caught during safety inspection). This repair costed me over $3000.00. When the shop asked me who I purchased the vehicle from they told me that is the last place I should have bought from as they have the worst reputation in town. Shortly after this there was a problem with the camshaft solenoid Failure. Do yourself a favor and ask around before doing business here. read more

I specifically went to the one off of bechelli. I test drove the truck everything was alright I could tell I would need brakes soon and a few other things weren't right. I loved the truck and had been saving for years to finally be able to do this and they were completely aware that I was trusting them to not screw me over. They come across like they are the best shop and such great people but that isn't the case. They don't care about anything other than getting these vehicles off their lot and once that's done they won't help you with anything! I tried so hard to get my price lowered but they threw everything under the sun at me to make me believe it was a good price. That is my fault I should have walked away. The truck was in a little accident years prior and had work re done to it but they couldn't tell me what exactly happened. One guy told me it was a trade in when it was not. I drove the truck to work and that night when I got home low oil pressure popped up on my dash. I called them and they said oh it just needs an oil change we should have had that done but I guess we forgot. That's never the case with low oil pressure and I knew it was something a lot bigger. I'm 22 and this is the second time I've bought a vehicle and when they were filling out all my paper work they lied so much and I didn't realize until I got home. I pay over 1600 in rent and on my papers they put 400 I asked why they did that and they didn't give me an answer and I assumed they knew what they were doing and it was okay. Billy told me if they ask just say 400. The bank called me and asked my rent and I told them the honest amount and I think it was my saving grace. We had to completely re do all the paper work and at this point I was able to have my mechanic look at the truck and I realized I better get out of this if I can. I come back and told them I don't want it and they tried to make it seem like I was stuck with it but I had them in so many ways they had nothing to do about it. They told me my warranty was 29.95 I believe but really it was over 2000 almost 3k. The truck was still in my name but one Billy told me that they sold the truck after 3 hours of it being there and the other Billy said 1 hour. They will really just make up lies and if that's true that's another thing on them with selling a vehicle still in my name. I definitely should have looked at the reviews before coming here but that's a lesson learned. I'm so lucky that I got my full deposit back and even with that being said my mom had to help me fight for that over a 2 day span. When I bought the truck it still needed an oil change, tired balanced, the key fob was completely dead and they wouldn't change that for me, the gas tank was damn near on e. They will make a ride look really nice and good but 9/10 you're going to end up finding out your car or truck has so many underlying problems that you didn't know about. I have spoken to so many people and they say that it's the most awful place in Redding to purchase a vehicle. I hope you consider all these bad reviews they definitely outweigh the good ones. This shop has no clue how to handle a situation where the vehicles that they sell end up breaking down or have issues straight off the lot or even not less than a month after purchase. It's ridiculous how they express themselves as these amazing people but then will do nothing to help you despite having warranty through them. My husbands truck ending up not being able to shift out of park, we checked all the fuses and brake switch and even changed it for nothing. Waited three days to see if someone would come out and look at it and were told someone would come by (travel mechanic) and never did. Don't do it! I rolled the dice with Redding Car and Truck and lost. After purchasing a used truck the Check Engine light came in literally as I turned into my driveway. Redding Car and Trucks maintenance shop had my truck for the first three weeks I owned it to go over a variety of issues. Even after getting it back engine light would still display. Gave up on these guys making it right and went to my personal mechanic. Little things setting off check engine light like they put the wrong oil in. I held off riding this review for 4 years. Mainly because the one person who worked for that business probably would have lost his job. Because he was the only one that took the time to help. I bought a 2008 Honda CRV. I had it less than a month when the engine blew. When I contacted them to help with the repairs they stated that they weren't responsible and that I would have to pay them to do the work. Well 4 months and $2,000. Later the mechanics took time from their time off to install the new motor that I purchased. The owner of the business wouldn't allow them to do it during regular business hours because he said this paying customers came first. Well I was a paying customer. I paid $9,000 for the car that broke in a month and another $2,000 for a replacement motor. He wouldn't even help with a rental car while mine was getting repaired. I would never in a million years recommend this business to anybody. Save yourself the headache and the heartache. I hope those really wonderful mechanics ran and found other jobs someplace where they are appreciated. The owner is a sexist and a bully and he is trained his sales staff to be pushy to the point of disgusting. read more

Wife's friend bought a vehicle from here brought by or house the day she got it with a complaint that the front in steering was really bad after I looked it over I found multiple bolts,nuts lose on the truck and had to torque them down couldn't believe they let here leave there like that with a child in the car. Then with in a week the fuel pump went now she's owned it for about 3-4 months and the transmission is done.
