I told her "oh sorry about that" she replied with a tone saying "it's fine". The vibe I got from her was extremely negative. It did seem like she was some type of manager, the way she was working trying to get something done and not giving customer service. I work in customer service as a store manager, that type of customer service will scare away customers, and is a huge No no for me. I would rather go to the store with less shoes. The only person that greeted and gave great customer service was the cashier.

Since my transaction was easy I just gave them my phone number and got my points right away. There are current sales right now and items with a green do is 50% off. So my shoe donations can be used on anything including clearance items. This makes it a super great deal. Took my time browsing for some new boots for Fall weather. They have new items in stock and if you don't find it in store you can order it to ship to your home or to the store for later pickup. That's why I like coming to DSW. Always a good time.

What is especially frustrating is that my order was placed before the item was sold to someone else. Had the store processed online orders when they were received, the hat should have been set aside for my order instead of being sold to a later customer. Because my order was not handled in a timely manner, someone else was able to purchase the item that I had already paid for. On top of that, nobody contacted me all day to let me know there was an issue with my order. If the item was unavailable, I should have been notified immediately instead of having to call myself nearly 10 hours later. Had I been informed earlier, I could have made other arrangements. Unfortunately, this was a birthday gift for my dad, and now I am left scrambling to find a replacement at the last minute. I understand inventory mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and failure to prioritize or properly process online orders was extremely disappointing.
