When the crew showed up, they seemed confused by the size of the house. About 10 minutes later, Juan called and said he was somehow confused and thought it was a two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath home. I'm still not sure how that happened, since the actual size of the house was right there in writing. He also could not point to anything in our Yelp conversation that supported his new version of events. Then came the surprise: the price was suddenly no longer $280. It was $480. But lucky me, he could "discount" it to $440. Very generous to offer me a discount on a price increase caused by his own alleged confusion. At that point, I told him to have his staff leave. To his credit, he did send back my $50 reservation payment afterward. Unfortunately, that did not solve the actual problem, which was that we had movers coming the next morning and needed the house cleaned before moving our family in.
