This was a great find on Yelp! My hubby and I enjoy finding tasty little diners that serve great breakfast, and this was a Bingo! When we arrived around noon on a Sunday, the restaurant was social-distanced full. But our wait for a table was only about ten minutes. Our server, Ashley, was very friendly, prompt, and attentive to our needs. I ordered the Haystack with a side of bacon. It was delicious! Hubby ordered French toast, hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage links and a side of biscuits and gravy - also all quite delicious! I had hot tea and he had a Diet Pepsi to drink. Our bill came to a total of $31.09. Quite reasonable considering all we ordered, and the servings were quite generous so We both had leftovers to take home. Fabulous pancakes, so so coffee, great service. That pretty much sums it up. The interior of the space is very nice and welcoming. I had been in there years ago when it was a Pizza Hut and was amazed at the transformation. We got there 930ish on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy. The pancakes were moist and had a good amount of vanilla - LOVE! The mister had cinnamon bread French toast, also quite good, with a very eggy custard. The pie case on the way out had me ogling. Need to go back for pie! Better coffee with half n half instead of coffeemate. Plus real butter will kick it up a notch in my opinion. read more

Our waitress did not smile or greet us and blamed us when she misunderstood our order and had to re-enter it into her little machine where she recorded the order. It was a misunderstanding. What amazing service!!!!!! We came back this restaurant by chance. Our waiter was very attentive,very friendly and respectful. We noticed he had gotten down to ear level with an older lady in a wheelchair and picked up another fellows bill clip. Tony's diner is a bang for your buck kind of place. I've never had bad food, I've never had bad service, and it's clean. Those are really the most important things to me personally when talking about diners. If you're in the mood for Denny's type food, in a Denny's price range, but don't actually want Denny's this is what you get. For diner food it's well above average, and you certainly get your money's worth. My personal favorite on the menu is the Reuben for lunch, or the Haystack for breakfast. No matter what you get on the menu, you can be sure that the portion sizes are very generous, especially for what you'll be paying. The staff have always been friendly, and efficient. I never had to ask for refills on beverages, and they don't try to rush you out the door to flip tables. Tony's is much better than any chain diner, and is better than most of the diners in the area, but remember, it's still a diner, you probably won't have the best meal of your life, but it's good comfort food. read more

Decided to try something different for dinner and gave Tony's Diner a try. Had a Rueben sandwich with fries and it was very good. The place was very clean and decorated nicely. Bathroom was updated and clean. They did a good job remodeling the former Pizza Hut. Our waitress was excellent. Very attentive and nice. I won't hesitate to go back to Tony's Diner again. read more

I've went time and time again, but didn't check reviews due to reasons. It is obviously frozen/thawed biscuits. I was not impressed with my biscuits and gravy after knowing this. The gravy is canned as well, and not made n the kitchen. They need to start making it homemade, not canned. There's ZERO sausage in the gravy as well. This seems to be an issue BloNo wide, not just Tony's. The price alone for the biscuits and gravy, a side of hashbrowns or american fries with gravy, and a soda makes it at least $10-$11 a person. The skillets are also way overpriced, but the omelet actually looked veeeery good to when my dad ordered it. Gravy should be cheaper for on the side or free IMO, but they gotta make money somehow. Overall it's a fairly close place to us, but the pricing is just a bit much. read more

I love breakfast, and specifically skillets, so if there is bias, you can't say I didn't warn you. What you need to know: - There is only one way in an out of the parking lot so pay attention to the fullness as you drive up. You don't want to get stuck playing chicken at the back of the lot. - Sometimes you seat yourself, sometimes they seat you. Read the sign when you first walk in. - Breakfast is listed in the back of the menu. You want breakfast. - Servers are fast, courteous and kind. Be sure you are courteous and kind because we need more of that in the world :-) - Coffee is good and filled often enough to satisfy my addiction - Order a skillet. You get all the things! Potatoes, veggies, meats, cheese, eggs. Seriously if you want more than that you're being greedy. - If you want a different kind of cheese just ask. - Yay egg whites as an option! - When you get the bill you go up front to pay. If you've been a BloNo resident for awhile you may notice some familiar staff from places like Wildberries, so give them a smile. I'm so thankful our town has breakfast spots with great food and great service. read more

Tony's Diner is where the old Pizza Hit use to be on South Main St. They completely redone the outside. It looks really nice. The best part is they repaved the parking lot. I remember picking up a pizza there and having to dodge potholes. The inside of the diner looks even better. It has nice booths and tables. It was nice to see a familiar face in there. Our waitress was Aleta who use to run Aleta Jane's Cafe on Morrissey Drive. I had a meat lover's omelette with fried potato slices. My meal was good. The potatoes could have used to be a little crisper. My girlfriend felt like her French toast was not freshly made. Her sausage links were lukewarm so she sent them back to be heated up. I tasted one her sausage links. They taste like the cheap sausage links you can buy at Kroger for a dollar. My girlfriend said she would rate the place as a 3 but based on my meal I went with a 4. We discussed trying out the lunch menu in the future so I may edit my review after that. read more

Helps fill the void of solid breakfast options in town. The 'reno' leaves the place homey and clean. More of a restaurant than a diner. More a 'pancake house' than a 'greasy spoon'. I went with my bf here on a whim after it had been recommended online,etc. 99% sure most of my food was microwaved and my sausage wasn't just cooled off a bit it was almost cold. We have been there twice...once for lunch and once for dinner, and we are fans. It's in an old Pizza Hut building that they renovated very nicely. It's very very clean. The staff are a mixture of old time waitresses with a lifetime of experience and brand new, this is my first job folks...and it's kind of charming. Not sure I would feel that way if they were slammed and I was waiting for service. The food is solid and the portions are great. 4 stars for a couple of things. The vegetables with the meal are canned...and I just can't get past that. Steam some broccoli....saute some green beans...even corn....mixed veggies, complete with lima beans is rough. And, it's solid food, but not gourmet food. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but for 5 stars, it has to be wow. read more

I first saw Tony's Diner's here on yelp then in an ad in the news paper, so I had to try it. Weeks later we did and it couldn't have been better. She ordered the corned beef hash and I had the gyro skillet. Everything was cooked perfect. Hash & hashbrowns had the crunchy crispy edges, the eggs were fluffy and veggies were fresh. Stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The restaurant is in an old remodeled Pizza Hut, but it's nicer inside than a Pizza Hut ever was. We sat ourselves and the waitress was there very quickly to take our drink orders. Breakfast is served all day, so I had pancakes and a order of bacon. My dining companion opted for a club sandwich. My pancakes were ample in size, fluffy and tasted delicious. The bacon is quality stuff and not that cheap, tasteless variety. My friend said his club sandwich was great but it was more than he could eat. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely will stop again when we're in the area. read more
