I will begin here, I have been two different Tony's in my area, both have been amazing. This location is fully stocked, plenty of options and when the sale is happening is even better. The hot and cold bar is a excellent choice for a light lunch, with options of salad and warm food. Very comfortable location, with plenty of space. I had a bad experience the last time I was at this store. To prevent it from happening again I want to the Customer Service desk to explain the situation and prevent it from happening again. Bianca's exact words were "I'll take care of it" Sure enough the same problem happened. I went to Bianca who now said, "Sorry, I can't help you" Only now did she offer to get a manager. I explained the entire situation to them and that I have shopped here for around 7 years, as long as it has been a Tony's. I proceeded to tell them I will never shop there again. All the work and money they spend to get a customer, now all that advertising will be a waste of money. Butera, Cermak Produce, and Farmers Best Market are nearby and I'll gladly take my future business to them. read more

It was my first time to visit this branch of Tony's Fresh Market. The parking lot is spacious and I easily parked my car. When I get inside the store I was shocked because this branch of Tony's Fresh Market is way better than the other branch because the aisles are much wider than the store is very clean and everything is well organized. All of the people inside follows the CDC guidelines which is great. The employees are very friendly and helpful. However, I observed that the fruits are not that really fresh at all, some are rotten and some are not you just have to choose thoroughly to get the better one. Almost everything is perfect except for the issues of the freshness of the fruits and I hope that they settle this. Still, I recommend this store because they have a lot mostly everything you needed for a day and they offer many other good things. read more

I won't shop here again because I did not appreciate being followed around the store by a hostile employee. It's really not a good idea to harass customers and make them feel uncomfortable. It's also not a good idea to talk about a customer in a language you think they don't understand to other people. I don't want to spend any more of my money at this location now. I'm a big fan of the Tony's in Niles, so I figured that the one closer to my house would be pretty similar. Not so. Where the Niles story does have quirks that I'm still getting used to, this store looks as if it was laid out by someone who had no idea what a grocery store should look like. I can imagine someone saying, "Oh hey, look at this little, dark cubby hole. Let's put a whole lot of stuff in here and make the aisles so small no one can navigate them!" (Maniacal laughter) Some areas seemed clean and bright, others felt grimy and dark. Aisles went up and down hill. The produce was not attractively displayed, and half the things that were supposed to be on sale either weren't, or weren't anywhere to be found. The bread I bought wasn't as fresh as it ought to have been, though points for a really big selection of local specialty breads. I got so turned around by the layout that I went out the wrong door, and had to push my cart back through the store to get to my car. I think it's safe to say that the store discombobulated me. And when I checked out I was surprised to see that I'd spent more money on less stuff than I usually do at the Niles store. I know tax is higher in the city, and prices probably are a bit higher as well, and it wasn't a huge problem, but it did give me pause. The bright spot was the checker who was not only pleasant, she made a point of telling me how much my bag of grapes cost because at $3.99 a pound a bag can really be pricey. That was thoughtful. Bottom line, though: This store is an in-a-pinch option. If I can't get out to Niles, I'll hit up Mariano's. read more

This Tony's is one of the largest ones I have been to. They carry all the items other locations have, but have a bigger and better selection. Their display case with sweets is huge and really impressive. The store is very clean and well organized. I have only been to this location twice, but can already tell that I like it more than the A&G Market that used to be here. I'm glad they converted into Tony's, the employees are much nicer than the former. I'm a huge fan of Tony's and prefer to shop here so it's nice to have another location I can add to my list. read more

I was over charged for milk and cereal at Tony's. I went back the next day and got a refund, and the checker who made the error was very unfriendly while checking me out again. When I tried to engage her, she said nothing. I've been to this market several times, and I've also noticed milk sitting outside the cooler in the aisle. I won't be going back to this store. I love Tony's store, the one located on Elston, but this one I had a bad experience experience with the doughnuts. I bought some that were really stale, I made the mistake of eating 2 of the 4,with my nephew. We both agreed that they were horrible, not the filling, but the dough part was very dry and hard. So when I brought them back with a receipt, I thought I would not have a problem switching them for another pack from the bakery. The customer service desk said she would let me do it this time, but to leave evidence of the stale doughnuts, I had 2 left, and all you would have to do was touch them. It made me feel bad, as if I was trying to get over on them.so I go home and the ones I switched were stale!, either they lie about the date on the package or they can't bake. The former A&G Fresh Market has become a shell of its former glory. The customer service at the deli counter and at the cash registers is terrible. The produce is no longer fresh, and the ice cream is freezer burnt. On a Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. there was only one register open. The cashier seemed to struggle with identifying the produce, and then could not ring it in. After 5 calls over the intercom, someone finally came to offer assistance. The cashier only asked if I wanted a bag, then no words or eye contact. I use to come to this store 3-4 times a week, and always enjoyed my experiences. Even on Senior Tuesdays, the cash lines would move quickly. Not anymore. I will be going to Pete's or Costco from now on. read more

The employees are nice and the produce is good. Sometimes when I get products on sale they are many months (sometimes a year) expired. I know I should've looked but they should probably remove expired food from the shelf and not just try to sell it to their customers. Also, this location moves stuff around constantly which can be frustrating. read more
