They have a good selection of international and "niche" products that you don't see at most places, but overall, their prices are very high. I usually just get a few select sale items or things I can't find elsewhere. They have coupons to download if you create an account, but usually just brings the price in-line with other stores, and frequently they don't come off at the register. Caveat emptor. The store manager Joe i think his name is, is a complete joke. Beyond rude in the way he talks to his employees and customers alike. From what I've heard he actually harasses employees so much to the point he drives them away. They need to seriously reconsider this man as store manager, maybe he'd be better as a backroom stocker where he won't interact with people. They "try" to cheat me every single time I shop there. Overcharge and don't honor sales price (unless you catch them). I just hung up with my bank, had to dispute Friday's overcharges at the register. Manager was a 19 y/o child who was certainly Prejudice against me. I'm not hispanic, so they are always rude to me. Yelp deleted my review for no reason at this location. I come to this location periodically. This location has been opened just over a year and is generally busy throughout the day. Food prices are fair with a better selection than Jewel - Osco products. Great hot food, soup and sushi as well when you walk right in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Fair selection of liquor, definitely a great place to shop at and a great addition to the city of Joliet. read more

Meat Market Manager, Jesus, went above and beyond customer service today. I went to get one of the hams that were on sale and he told me that they were already sold out. He apologized for being shorthanded, but he said they only sent him two cases. As I continued to shop in the store,, Jesus came up to me and handed me a ham that he found in the back! I could not believe that he actually came out and found me. I must also mention at this time that I have never seen a meat market that looked as good as the market in the Joliet store. The meat was all neatly arranged. There were no gaps in product anywhere, and the cases were clean without anything stinkier smelling hanging out at the bottom as I have seen in some markets. Overall, I find that this Tony's is extremely clean and pleasant and the workers there are wonderful people. read more

Went to shop at 7 am today. Tony's is a great store but I have one thing they need improvement on. When you have no cashiers available til 830 am you should give the people that have to self checkout a 10% discount on their items. I don't get paid to be a cashier!!!!! Unhappy today! read more

I buy my groceries every week from here. Usually, it's a great place, but not today. I go to the deli section, and I'm the only person there. 3 employees just chatting away while I stand there by myself. Absolutely no one else in line. One employee approaches me and asks me to get a number. I tell her there is no one else here. Nobody else is here to form a line. Makes me get a number and then proceeds to help. What was the need for that? Then I finish shopping and go to the cashier. Helps me bag 4 items from my cart while I pay. Then, after I paid, she hands me my receipt and immediately starts helping the next customer while my groceries are still in the way of the other customer. No attempt to help bag the rest. Am I supposed to tip to get my groceries bagged? Is bagging extra? Just found everyone to be rude today. read more

Tony's is my go to place when it comes to groceries. Recently this Jefferson location is less than lacking. Registers closed with only self checkout accessible. I had a whole cart of groceries. And Colin who seems to think is in charge decided to let one cashier to close down a register without a replacement. So I went to self checkout just to hear Colin having private conversations with subordinate staff. All females high school age. All 3 females were just standing around self checkout with Colin overseeing, what, hard to say. This is definitely unfortunate that customer service is basically being removed from stores and clients are doing all the labor of checking out and bagging groceries. Hard to justify if you have workers just standing behind you. Not hiring cashiers is definitely not saving on bottom line of this store. There are times when i like self checkout but today with cart full of stuff was not one of those days. Finally Colin decided to have one young lady open a register for someone who actually had to ask for it. Young lady was less than thrilled to break the conversation with Colin and others to help customers. She actually asked why her, to which Colin responded "it's your job". Perception is everything. I suppose young people have a world to learn about it. Do better Tony's. read more

I shop at Tony's every Monday at joliet location. I always have a great experience, the deli ladies are plesant and quick. The produce is always full and delicious. But mostly I always come back to this store because the employees! Rita is amazing every week, always kind, sweet and quick. She has always been able to help me with the app when I'm struggling she's goes out of her way to be helpful. The manager at the service desk with the beautiful hair is always in a great mood, and the guy that works the self check out (looks identical to Trevor Noah) he is so great! Every week he is in there looking like he absolutely loves his job, he's running all over helping out everyone and loving it. And just recently added those double seat carts, HUGE plus for us moms!!!! Love this location! read more
