Meijer has decent coupons to keep me coming back for more. This most recent trip had me noticing their CUTE children clothing and in the back of the store they have a clearance food rack, which is worth checking out. You may find your out of season item back there. I picked up the coffee in the photo. It was 16.99 and I used a $3 off coupon. 40 oz of ground coffee for 13.99! Thank you, Meijer. Their house brand coffee is tasty! if you aren't tried it, grab the bags they have for sale and while your at it, go the bakery and check out their homemade dump, scoop cakes. I've been to other Meijer stores in other states but this store kitchen items that my wife couldn't find back at our local stores and it was great to know that it was open till midnight wish I feel like is hard to find in today's age it's just everything closes at 8:00 or 9:00 p.m.. After several attempts @ this location, Management really needs to be a little more attentive to their employees. I wanted to bring to your attention a concern regarding our recent interaction. When I sought help with my medication. I felt that my needs were not adequately addressed. The girls that handle pharmacy calls seem very dismissive and inconsiderate, which is troubling given the importance of accurate medication assistance. They are very rude and don't go above and beyond for customers. Please take your business to another location, no one to be stressed out by anyone who doesn't like their jobs! It's crucial for customers to feel supported and informed, especially when it comes to their health. I hope you can take this feedback constructively and improve your approach in future interactions. I shop at Meijer most of the time for my groceries. I usually go to the Meijer on Weber Rd in Bolingbrook. Meijer has reasonable prices most of the time. The store is clean and laid out very conveniently. I love using their App. It is very easy to use and you can get a lot of discounts. The coupons on the app is also great, I love the "just for you " coupons that is mailed to customers. It features items that you have purchased in the past and items that you might want to try and they offer them on sale for you. Those coupons are also pushed onto the app for you, you don't need to remember to bring them to the store with you. I have not used their delivery service yet, but have used their pickup service several times. They make shopping online or in the app extremely easy including checking out, you can use your coupons and perks points with ease. I must also give a shoutout to the staff at Meijer. I can honestly say that I have always been promptly assisted when needed and have never ran across a grumpy employee, even when it's busy at the store. I got groceries and a pair of Dr Scholls sneakers (I bought a pair last year and wore them out while traveling in Japan). The place is really gone down since it was opened. Many shelves are empty and popular items I used to go there for not sold anymore or just not there. The reason I go to a place with huge selection is to get the items I want. Not finding them because they are out or not stocking them makes the trip seem less than worth it. The staff also seems unhappy and from the turn over it seems they are not staying. One more thing, they periodically rearrange the store so you can not find what you are looking for. I like this Meijer although sometimes their produce is sketchy. I love the self checkouts! Do not use these if you can't pull it off w/o assistance. The employees are friendly, the shelves are well stocked, and I like that they have a gas station on site. I do not go on weekends unless it's early in the morning. Don't be grumpy if you made the bad decision to go when they're busy- that's your problem, no one else. They are currently doing some renovations- it'll be nice once it's done. read more

They have a variety of items. They have organic produce. It's very big, and fairly clean. The problem is the self check out line limits the items to 20 or less. So, I am forced to go in the regular checkout lines, which are horrible! Be prepared to wait for a long time. Very few lines are open. I shop during the week, non-busy hours. The cashiers are so slow and many of them are rude. They look all pissed off. Throwing your groceries in the bag, a couple of times fell on the dirty floor. No apologies from the cashier. No smile, no hello. I hate it here. I prefer Caputos, Whole Foods, Trader Joes in Naperville. Plainfield get your crap together! read more

Like the store but will Avoid it since Plainfield has a Red Light camera there-right at the intersection. I got a $100 Ticket. So that's an expensive shopping trip. There are so many other Meijer stores in the same proximity. I suggest avoiding that location in Plainfield -unless the City of Plainfied removes this cash cow. I had one of the worst possible grocery shopping experiences I have ever had at this store. They were out of at least 5 commonplace items from Cream of Mushroom soup to family size frozen corn. The checkout staff could not tell me the name of their store manager and the corporate customer service told me they were glad I could find the missing items across the street at their competitor, Jewel! No one seemed to care about the shortages and the hardship it caused having to go to another store to complete the shopping list. There were only 4 staffed shopping lanes open. Nothing was easy. With so many grocery stores in the area. I have plenty of other choices to shop. This was just the push I needed. One star is even too much!! I would give the Plainfield store a zero if possible. In the fish tanks at the back, there were SEVERAL ripped apart fish at the bottom. Why don't they clean that out? What?!?! It's really big and has good sales. The cashiers are horribly slow. I felt like I was at Walmart. I had this one balding old chubby man and he was so slow and rude. He started checking out the lady after me's stuff as mine and I politely said "Oh that's her stuff sorry!' and he got heated and said "I know!" I have a love-hate relationship with this Meijer. Like all Meijers that I've visited - the produce is great, selection is fantastic, and prices are very good...this is what keeps me returning. What I need to continually remind myself is...NOT TO VISIT ON A SUNDAY. Meijer is a hot mess when they're busy. They may have 5317901 check-out stations, but they rarely staff more than a handful. The cashiers are also the baggers, which makes for a painfully slow transaction. I once timed my check-out...with one person ahead of me in line, it took over 20 minutes from the time I stood in line to the time I paid and walked out. To add to the frustration, any time you want booze, you have to steer the huge carts down tiny aisles in a separate alcohol section - and pay again. If I'm lucky enough to remember to stop for booze in their separate, private area, I still have to wait - because unlike the large amount of check-out stations out-front, there is only one cashier in the alcohol area. This is a one-stop-shop and offers such a better quality to a Wal-Mart, but shop during an off time or come with patience - because you'll need it! read more

That old girl ain't what she used to be! The international aisle is decent for a big box grocery store, and I have better luck here than at Wal-Mart. I mostly buy packaged and dry goods here, the odds and ends I can't find at Aldi or Caputo's. The meat and produce variety isn't bad either. I shop at this location about every two weeks, or stop in for "emergency items," but I try not to. It's a lot less of a clusterf*ck than the Aurora store, but the employees are just as obvious that they do not want to help you. The only reason I still shop here is for the self checkout, but their self checkout has failed numerous times, and not due to user error. I scanned a coupon, and the whole system just shut down. I had to re-do my entire transaction. The only reason I put up with this BS is because I like to bag my own groceries. Recently, I went through the self checkout with some yogurt. They rang up incorrectly. The employees at the "cashier stand" both looked like I was asking them to donate a kidney when I asked for assistance. Neither of them wanted to go check the price (of course, I was right and the register was wrong). One of the girls just wandered away to chat with a friend in the liquor department while I stood there. I really should have just walked out with my cart full of groceries. There used to be an Asian dude greeting people at the front door. He was always smiling and polite. I haven't seen him in awhile. But he's the only person in the store that deserves a paycheck. read more

This is the largest grocery store I've ever seen! Meijer's aren't as prevalent in my burbs, so I wanted to stop in and see what it was like. You could definitely spend way too much time and money here getting basically everything you could need to live comfortably, but we only needed booze. We walked the entire grocery side and were about to leave when we finally noticed a sign that said "Party Room" along the front of the store, just past the registers. I thought it was cool they had an Illinois and Michigan beer section to highlight local favorites, but it was a little misrepresented- they had interesting choices but it seemed like other craft beer choices from around the USA were also thrown in here to use up all the space. We found what we needed at a fair price. I would come back just to get some walking in and see what else I could find here! read more

I waited 45 minutes for my pickup order today. I called and the worker said there was only one person manning pickup orders. There were 6 cars along there with me. This store has some great features and also some bad features. I love their generous and free prescription program that gives prenatal vitamins and other medications free of charge. The store is usually clean. I like their seafood and produce sections. The in-store bathroom situation could be better which is located inside the mini food court and deli. People eating food can smell the ammonia from the bathroom. The bathroom at the store entrance is not that great either. Returning an item to this store can be a pain. read more

I love that you get organic honeycrisp apples in the fall. I love the organic nectarines that you have been stocking all summer for $1.29 per pound. And I love your honeyrock cantaloupes and watermelons this season Last weekend, I picked up a $2.99 watermelon that was the best one I have had in years. I have come to this location numerous times a week for years and I am always watched and followed, it questioned about the items in my cart at the self check out line. It just kills me (and target and meijer are both guilty of this) that at 730 on a weeknight (when there are plenty of people in the store!) that 1 register is open. Self check-out is great but it doesnt work for every circumstance. I wandered the store for about 15 minutes before finding the first item on my list (without making eye contact with an employee the whole time... and never even saw anyone on the 'floor' except in the electronics dept... in which one was yelling to the other that 'everyone should know a ream of paper is 500 pages'. I do love the things i overhear when people should be working or helping customers. It doesn't make me mad, but its things I know the higher ups would roll their eyes over =P I was going to say that I made it through the entire place (having spent close to 35/40 minutes there) without making eye contact with a single member of the Meijer team, but they did have a greater at the door. EVENTUALLY i found 4 of the 5 items on my list and then hit the self checkout, then went across the street to Jewel to finish up the list. read more

Normally I would never Yelp a grocery store but the customer service is so good I think Meijer deserves some love! Every time I shop (mostly Saturdays) the employees ask if I need help finding anything (or maybe I look lost?!?) or say hello. They offer lots of yummy samples at lunch too. :) read more

Our most favorite grocery store of all time. The sales here are great- especially when they have 10 for $10 which is almost monthly. Finding other good deals in the toy or home departments happen often. Clearance items also are great when things get marked down to 70 percent off. What is best about Meijer is that the prices come up correctly 95% of the time saving us the hassle of needing a price override. Love the self checkout as it saves us tons of time. read more

In my area, I have both a Meijer and a Walmart. Hands down, I will choose Meijer over walmart every time. I prefer the atmosphere and cleanliness of Meijer.
