Tony's now says "Anaya's Smog" so it's a little confusing. The location is within a strip mall with other stores around it. The address showing is correct, just look for the bay that says "Anaya's". There is a sign board in the parking lot pointing to "Tony's Smog". I smogged here last time, and still the same great service. I called ahead to be sure he wasn't busy. When I got there another customer was waiting. Service is fast and there's a place to sit. Not swanky, but not overly expensive either. He was great with the other guy, who had not passed the first test. He checked the failed test results and the repairs done because he didn't want the customer to have another fail. I felt the mechanic really outdid himself caring for his customers and had good information for people having trouble passing. I had a couple things going on... and asked: will the 4" crack in my lower windshield throw me out? (No) Will the light on for the tail light throw me out? (No). So it's a relief to get some information before the test is run. He was juggling 2 people at once and when I got done (passed) he gave me $5 off because I had to wait longer! That is a first. This is a small local owner that works to get customers through the test. Will go back next time!

Tony's was the least expensive Star Certified smog station around. I called in and got a quote, headed down, pulled into the driveway, and followed the smog signs to the wrong place. Whoops. As I was approached by the tech, I noticed Tony's sign on the opposite side, and told him I made a mistake. When he asked what I was quoted, he said that was too cheap for him to match. Over at Tony's they were nice, fast, and wrote me up for a few bucks more than the phone quote. I figured it was tax, and ignored it, but then when I went to pay, the guy who answered my phone call said he saw the bill and said he had given me a lower quote the previous day. Nice! That doesn't happen every day. My 1999 car passed perfectly, and I totally recommend these guys. read more

The least painful smog check of my life. Seriously. Ten minutes and I was out the door and they were super nice. They weren't taking credit so I had to run next door to the market to get cash back but by the time I returned my car was waiting for me. Don't know if they usually take credit but the machine was down. $55 but with the yelp check in it was $45. read more

He said they don't honor the 20% coupon on Yelp and he doesn't know how to change it. On my car it would have been $13.60 off. He was willing to give me $10 off from the coupon on www.123smog.com . Funny that he was unwilling to honor the Yelp discount for $3.60 more. They did not take AMEX (and charge an additional fee for credit cards), so I left without getting my car smogged. read more

Amazing service! I am new to California so I didn't know what to expect for the smog test and I was afraid I'd fail, the owner/mechanic put me at ease and talked to me the entire time he was conducting the test. He was extremely professional and very friendly, not to mention very quick and even gave me the military discount because my boyfriend serves in the Navy. After seeing ridiculous prices for smogging a 1997 in El Cajon I came back to my hometown and brought my Wrangler to Tony's Smog. Didn't pass the first time. And showed me numbers on why it didn't pass. So I replaced what needed to be replaced at Juan's Auto Repair next door and came right back and passed! Friendly service done right. Looked for smog check in the internet. It came out and I am glad I went there. The Service is great, very professional. The price reasonable and if you have a coupon even better. Came in with out an appointment and they took care of us. I would highly recommend this place. Before I even left they had all ready sent all my info to the DMV. It was a very pleasant experience. Needed to take my truck to a Star station..came here after my sister recommended Me Tony's. Now I will highly recommend to my family and friends! Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable! Don't waste your time anywhere else.( Almost embarrassed to say, but I 1st went somewhere else last week and didn't pass, they said it was running "lean"?? Wanted $120 to find out what it was..called my husband said to take it home...he vacuumed and cleaned air filter and hoses. Fast forward to today, I pull up and passed. Amazing.) read more

Best customer service around! I've smogged a lot of vehicles in my life and yes it's spelled wrong anyway, I took in a 1995 which costs more but I knew it would pass smog since it was taken care of. I highly recommend this TEST only location! Five stars all day long read more

First time getting a smog here they had very good customer service over the phone so thought I'd give them a shot. Went in only took about 20mins coast $48 cause they let me use a $10 off Yelp check in n still good customer service. The only negative for me was having to sit out side in the sun. It was the first week of August so ya I was getting burn. read more

These guys were great! I called on SATURDAY at 3:45 (they close at 4pm) and they told me they would stay late to smog test my car. They were super friendly, courteous, and they have a great waiting room with free wifi to hang out in during the test. I highly recommend them! Plus I got $20 off because of their yelp coupon - that never hurts. read more

just got back from my smog check and i promised the dude that i'd yelp the experience once i'm home. the wait time was an hour 'cause only one guy was working and that's understandable. once it was my turn, it only took fifteen minutes for the test. the coupon online even helped with the grand total as well. fast service at a great price! read more

Our chief technician, Adrian Martinez is professional, courteous and will usually greet you with a smile. Our goal is to provide a quality service at a reasonable price. It's easy to find, right across the street from the police station. I drove up without an appointment, and there was nobody ahead of me. Just the luck of the draw. The service technician releived me of my keys, and informed me there is a waiting room in the rear of the building. The waiting room itself is not exactly eye candy, but there are two sofas available. There is also a large service viewing window for those who like to see what's happening to their car. (I am one of them). After about 20 minutes, the certification was completed and I paid the $60 fee, plus a charge for the privilege of using a credit card. I have only taken my automatic there. They have a pretty good place to replace while you wait. They have cable tv, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. Oh and little snacks. Try to get there when it opens, because the fill up fast. Now their web site says, if you don't pass they will help you figure out what is wrong. Well they really don't. They will say, go have it fixed and come back. They do give you a second chance to pass it. They also let you loan a OBD if you have none readable codes. This is refunded when you bring it back. Two things I recommend before going. Do not unplug you battery, if you have a car that has many electronic components. If you do this, and you don't allow drive time. Their system will not be able to read all your codes. Second, if you have issues with your Cat. Such as P0420. Cat Cleaner from auto store will probably fix it. Do that a week before you smog if you can One con, is that is a little pricey. Smog check is $68.
