After the Santa Ana winds ravaged our backyard awning I called this business and told them I have a non-commercial awning that needs attention. It's 10mins to closing yesterday and guy I spoke to said he can take a look at it anyway given that my residence is in their vicinity of Glendora. I took my Sunbrella canvas gazebo top back for restitching after the wind tore 'only' the corner tab seams that hadn't been restitched before. Picked it up in a couple of days, but haven't reinstalled it. I trust it'll hold up fine for a few years under normal conditions - until the thread gets weathered again; Tony uses a good, strong one! I LOOOVE having a fabric gazebo top; I think it provides much cooler shade (than metal would) for me and the cats, birds, etc. Thank you, Tony! read more

I contacted Juan regarding replacing my brother's Solara convertible top. We told him that we already have the replacement part and we just need installation. Juan said he was about 2 weeks behind on appointments because his shop is currently very busy. No problem. I called back to schedule an appointment but Juan told me that he had a cancellation and that my brother could bring his Solara the next day. He quoted us a very reasonable price too. He had the car ready the following day and lo and behold, the new convertible top looks awesome and very professional looking. Needless to say, my brother was very happy with the results. Mind you, we gave Juan a new convertible top to replace but it came with no instructions and the brand name of that convertible top was one that Juan was not familiar with. Still, he did such an outstanding job. I wish I could give him 10 stars! He was so pleasant, personable, and very customer service oriented. He told us to return should we have any problems with the convertible top. In short, he did a fantastic job with a quick turnaround, charged a very fair price and provided great customer service. I needed my 1973 Apache popup trailer canvas repaired, the zippers on both sides of the tent were bad, the canvas had shrunk, and the snaps along the bottom broken, but otherwise the canvas looked good and did not leak. I talked to Juan and he suggested he repair it rather than replace it. They installed two new zippers, spliced in matching color material to take care of shrinkage, and removed snaps, sewed reinforcing matching material along bottom and put in brass grommets for hold downs. It is as good as new!!!! He really suprised me by the good job, he knows his stuff. read more

I needed some repair to a tent trailer. Wasn't sure if this was the right place to try but my mom knew i need the work and saw this place which is just down the street from where i live. She stopped in, talked to one of the guys there, he came to my place to look at my canvas that needed repair and said he "if you can bring it in, we can fix it" and gave a very nice quote. I brought it in, showed it to Juan the owner, he quoted a higher price and i started to balk, then we brought the price down to the original quote. Ended up doing a good job, and offered to touch anything later if i found the need. read more

Took my classic Pontiac to this place. Very disappointed with the quality of work and the owner Juan. Found my seat moldings broken and the weather stripping was installed incorrectly. When I tried to bring up all of the issues with Juan, he became very defensive rather then apologetic and made little effort to correct the problems he had created. Being brutally honest, there is no quality control at this shop. I advise anyone to be very careful if you decide to use this place especially if you have a classic car. I now I have to locate and pay a new upholstery shop to redo the interior and replace broken parts that Tony's upholstery and canvas shop ruined. Bottom line, I would not recommend this place and am very disappointed with the results. read more

I took a bench seat from an older vehicle to three places for a quote to be reupholstered - 2 in Covina and Tony's in Glendora. Tony's came in with the lowest quote. After the fact, the place with the next lowest price may have been a better option as they gave many samples to choose from and seemed to be doing more business - hindsight. At Tony's, they ordered some material when I came in for the quote before consulting me. When I came back to have the job started, the roll of vinyl they chose was already there. It worked, but I might have chosen something different if given an option. The work they did was okay for an old vehicle that is not show quality. Some of the stitching lines weren't straight but seem to be holding. The work was done in a day. If you go here for a car you want to look good, make sure you specify what you want - materials, quality, workmanship, etc. and inspect before paying. Also note he likes to deal in "cash" which may or may not be a problem for some people. read more
