This was my first time visiting and it was overall a very great experience. The wait time in the lobby was super short. I was given a tour of the place as soon as they called me in which I thought was cool. The staff was diverse and very friendly. Really enjoyed how modern and clean this office was. Everyone was very nice and professional. Dr Barclay was very informative and explained the procedures to me in detail to fix my broken tooth. This is for the people like me who unfortunately have "dental anxiety" from awful childhood/past experiences with dentists. I was absolutely terrified to go for a checkup because I knew for a fact that there were cavities needing to be filled. However, I could not have picked a better office to start back up on a treatment plan. Dr. Rachel Morren and her incredible staff (that I wish I remembered the names of) made me feel so comfortable and safe. I could not have been introduced to a kinder group of people to help me. They walked me through the issues present, a thorough treatment plan, a new morning/night routine, and specific products without making me feel even an ounce of embarrassment. The treatment coordinator and front desk staff were also very very warm and welcoming. I am so grateful to have found this office and Dr. Morren - a fellow lifelong Austinite. I never thought I would be writing such an in depth review of a dentist's office, but I cannot recommend one more than Toothbar. read more

I went in on 10/3 expecting to receive the treatment they posted on their website - "quick and efficient services", but received the typical dentist experience. Full set of X-rays and exam and not willing transfer from my existing dentist just to get a cleaning. "Dental services your way", not! It's still a typical dentist office. read more

I started seeing Dr. Jacobsen a few years ago after a horrible experience with my previous dentist. She had to re-do cavity fillings that my previous dentist messed up and finally gave me relief from not being able to eat soft foods without having pain for a year. She is very kind and amazing at her job. The staff is also super friendly. They all make you feel at home. I would highly recommended Dr. Jacobsen. read more

BY FAR the best experience I have EVER had in my life at a dentist office. Forgot to get my parking validated so make sure you do that before you leave the office or it'll cost ya! From the moment you walk in the office is bright and the staff is incredibly friendly. There are windows in all of the treatment rooms which makes it feel less claustrophobic and you can watch as the train goes by countless times. They're equipped with TV's and headphones so you can be distracted while they're drilling away inside your mouth. I was there for a few hours (tons of work to be had) and honestly felt like I left with friends. At least acquaintances enough to where I would definitely say hello if I ran into them at the super market. Incredibly professional staff, chic and upscale atmosphere and in a great location. I'm one of those people who absolutely hates going to the dentist, which is why I put off finding one when I moved to Austin for so long. When some discomfort in my mouth forced me to find one, I decided on the ToothBar and am very happy I did. Dr. Jacobsen made the experience of going to the dentist very pleasant, repeatedly checking to make sure I wasn't having any discomfort as a result of her examination. Since she had some extra time today, she did the cleaning herself, saving me another trip, as initially I had to make a second appointment for my cleaning since they fit me in on short notice to see what was causing me pain. Her offices were very clean and modern, and her staff was very welcoming and inviting. It was clear that they enjoyed working with Dr. Jacobsen. I will definitely be going back to the ToothBar and Dr. Jacobsen! I did not meet Dr. Barclay as this was my first visit, but I am confident in her ability as well after such a pleasant experience in their office. read more

Best dentist office I've been to. Easy to make an appointment, great service and was made very comfortable.

While most dental offices could feel very cold, unfriendly and sometimes unbearable, Toothbar is far from it. From the ambiance, location, to the staff, everything is amazing. My two fave people there are Debbie (billing/accounting dept) and Beth (Dental Hygienist). Debbie is on it! She is very detailed, smart and quick to answer questions, provide you with info, as well as rectify any errors (if any). Beth's smile and demeanor is angelic. She puts me at ease during my cleaning because she is aware of my distrust in dental offices due to previous bad experiences . I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them. You won't be sorry. read more

I am a dental assistant who was lucky to be scheduled as a temp at the Toothbar for 3 wonderful days. Not long enough but I'm very fortunate to have been able to spend time with this amazing staff and Dr's Jacobsen & Barclay. Keep in mind I have 36 yrs. of dental assisting experience so my point of view is somewhat creditable. My first day there I walked into their 'morning huddle' which is customary for dental offices although this had a much different feel to it. The entire staff is present early to go over every patients treatment for the day and discuss any concerns and review any questions they have for the doctors before they start their day. So know that when you arrive they are more than ready and informed about your scheduled appointment. They are focused and have a well thought out treatment time planned for you. As the meeting wrapped up, Dr. Jacobsen said to her staff, "Here's the deal. Always keep in mind that we want our patients to leave here having a great experience. This is THE most important thing we do." I knew then that this would be an exceptional experience! It is impossible to go wrong with these guys. They are the best of the best. They are good at what they do and they take pride in everything they offer. The whole concept of the Toothbar is innovative and cleverly thought out. I never heard a word about 'production or cost' but I did overhear much talk about 'concern and comfort'. And that was nice. Behind the scenes, they are all on the same page, all in tune to the job at hand, all reaching out for that ultimate goal that is the end of the day when they know that you were well taken care of and their job was done with compassion and a touch of flair.
