I ate one of the most tender and moist fried chicken breasts that I have ever tasted. the mashed potatoes were fresh, hot and creamy, two types of gravy were offered and both the cornbread and biscuits were tender, flavorful and delicious. The broccoli was steamed but not not floppy and the green salad was a generous portion of green goodness. I could only eat about half of the offerings and the price was less that $12. from where I was sitting, my daughter's bar be que chicken and Mac and cheese looked great and my granddaughters child portion of turkey dinner was as delicious and generous as the adult meals. We will return here again! absolutely amazing!

You get nice proportions and food isn't too salty. I have no complaints and I rather go here over Cracker Barrel! Fight me... Lol!! I usually order the pancakes or French toast. The only complaint I do have is the size of the onions they cut with the potatoes they could cut them a little smaller. Lol! I bit into what I thought was a potato and nope.. It was a damn quarter sized onion lol!

We've been here several times over the years, and it never disappoints. This visit was just as good as we remembered. I ordered the Philly Omelette with a warm biscuit and fresh fruit, and everything was delicious. Jane had the Summer Special - a Lobster Roll with fries, and she loved every bite. What really made this visit special was our server, Reilly. She was incredibly sweet, polite, friendly, and attentive from the moment we sat down. She made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our meal, and her outstanding customer service truly deserves five stars. The food is consistently fresh, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Whether you're passing through on I-95 or you're local to the Fredericksburg area, we highly recommend stopping by the Silver Diner. It's one of those places we're always happy to return to. Highly recommended!

This is an exceptional diner with a phenomenal staff, excellent food and drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere. Will was our server and he was exemplary. To say he took care of us was an understatement. Will knew we were wiped out from traveling and helped us navigate the menu, drinks, and dessert. He's a fantastic ambassador to Silver Diner. My girlfriend dined on a fresh house salad (no tomatoes by request) with thousand island dressing. She also had their fresh chicken tenders with dipping sauces. The chicken was lean and juicy. I had the beat salad with a spicy sauce that proved to be as delicious as it was refreshing. My entree was cod on quinoa with asparagus and stewed tomatoes. Absolutely perfect from texture to flavor. We shared their brownie with ice cream. That brownie was thick, moist, and chocolatey. And our drinks were amazing. The manager also made the rounds to make certain everyone was happy. We cannot thank Will and the Silver Diner staff, from service to kitchen, enough for their stellar hospitality. Highly recommended!

The food was hot and tasty. The second time was a weekend and it was extremely busy. There were still a handful of tables available and you just pick any table you want and take a seat. I was not as happy with the service as it took a very long time for someone to give us menus and then we waited quite awhile for the server to come back and take our order. Once our order was placed it was a reasonable time to get our food but not crazy long. Our server didn't check back to refill drinks so that was not great but the food was still good so that was a plus. Will we go back, absolutely, but I will try to avoid the busy times.

On the other hand, service was friendly, attractive, helpful and turned out a very good Patty Melt and Fries for lunch. Although I came in wanting breakfast, I quickly learned that the morning meal was no longer available. The PM wasn't a bad alternative, although it was so greasy that I went through a half dozen napkins cleaning my hands, and switched to knife and fork for the sake of the environment. The customers seemed to be mostly local regulars who knew the servers and cashier and enjoyed the comfort of the dining room and kitchen. The lights were out in the back hall to the restrooms making for a dark walk to the toilets. Hope that is fixed soon for the sake of all the older customers who need the facilities. Three faded Stars for this mid 20th Century house.
