I do feel that the ambiance offers something very different than other markets as the store is usually decorated and generally feels clean, although it used to feel cleaner in the past prior to 2020. Always love visiting here from time to time, especially to get some sake. The size of this Tokyo Central is also a bit bigger than most others, but I do feel like other TC's are more modern and cleaner than this one, but you still can't go wrong here. Edit: I went today because I was in the area and the store feels much cleaner and they added a brand new sushi bar with a chef where the old anime stuff used to be. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

Noticed an elderly couple had been waiting for cashier and when they asked I'm guessing the manager. Expressed with rudeness to couple that there were no cashiers and he need to help in self check out. I proceeded to pay and as everything played in front of me I had to speak out loud to him you should have patience and watch the way you talk to them. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like someone thanking to your parents that way. No response from him and he proceeded to scan the items. Manager or employee shouldn't be speaking to customers with that response or that tone. If you don't have cashiers before you open the store to customers, you shouldn't be opening the doors then. He quickly said no and continued working and ignored me. Really so disappointed and it really makes customers feel like we are bothering you. What happen to customer service. It's a bit messy and disorganized when I went and there were only a 2 cashiers working with a huge line of customers but they did their best to be as speedy as possible. And despite that they were very friendly as well. I was able to get A LOT of the Halloween goods on sale here for a reasonable price. I was able to find the Halloween pasta, cheese, and sauces at this location and not at the other 2 that are a bit closer to me. I was able to get Dia de Los Muertos sugar cookie decorating kits and "haunted mansion" gingerbread house kits for around 60 cents which is insane. This was back when I taught middle school so it was a HUGE steal to stock up and provide it to the students. Great location!

The meat counter is not a place to be polite or you'll keep missing your turn. Inside is clean and organized but the price point here is usually more than other chain grocery stores. The sale items are also misleading if you're not careful. I saw a big sale sign and a number which I thought was the sale price but when I checked out I was told no, that number was how much I saved if I bought the item. So you need to take that number and subtract from the original yourself.

Some customers take long TIME picking each piece of OKRA OR BITTER GOURD plus their basket blocking the way and they do not move. So I had to go in reverse, but too bad one is appraching from that direction - what a MESS! Pasha has grown their business by three fold approximarely but not the space. Also grown are the prices. One example I can give is of Okra at $4.99 while I can buy the same quality in other store for $2.99.
