Such an amazing coffee stand! It's so much better than any mega coffee chain I've ever been to. Will be back any chance I get!

6/25/26 First visit…read more After court Sandy and I headed to Main Street looking for breakfast please I bookmarked. Worthy Takeaway was in our sights to try. Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. They came with a light verde salsa. The burritos hit the spot, we're hearty and filling. Worthy Takeaway or dining in my friend's-SYOY!

The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.

I was killing time in Chandler when lunch time approached and getting a sandwich was on my brain…read more Thanks to the Yelp app, I was able to find Retro's Subs & Brews and it seemed like the perfect spot to cure my itch. I was super stoked to check a place with "retro" in the name out, and I gotta be honest here, I left with pretty mixed emotions about a lot of things. The restaurant itself is pretty boring inside, mostly just being black with a few small pictures hanging up. I was kind of expecting big retro movie posters or something hanging around, but I definitely didn't get much of a retro vibe from this place minus a small neon "bar" sign and a claw machine in the corner. The menus were very cool, right by the front door its a record shelf and the records were the menus, so thumbs up for that idea. I thought i was mistaken, but I don't remember seeing sandwich prices on the actual menu, but as I look at other photos on yelp it does appear that the sandwiches don't have prices attached to them, which explains why I was thrown off by the end price. I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. Overall, I really wanted to love this place for the name, but the lack of much decorations and prices left something to be desired. The food itself was good, but not worth what was spent.

We ordered a Greek Salad with Gyro and a Vegetarian platter, retrieved our drinks and found a table. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. The Greek Salad was delicious and included greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onions and feta cheese. I added gyro as the protein and it was a generous portion. The Vegetarian plate was also generous and was enjoyed by my friend. It included three crispy falafel, hummus, tabouleh salad, baba ghannoug, 2 stuffed grape leaves and tahini sauce with pita bread. We look forward to returning. Highly recommended for delicious Greek food and generous portions at a fair price!

I can't find my pictures of the meal. I took another photo of today's meal but messed up and can't get it uploaded. I think I made it my profile picture. Actually that's a great profile picture so just look at that and you'll see the gyro plate. Anyway, to the point. This is one of the best Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I've eaten at. I'm not a Greek food aficionado but at least for the standard Greek restaurant fair to find an American Greek restaurant - delicious! Both times, unfortunately I couldn't order the kebabs because I didn't have time. They actually prepare them fresh and it takes about 25 minutes. I wanna come back and have those. Today, I had the gyro plate. Plenty of meat, delicious soft, fresh pita bread. Excellent hummus with a little olive oil in a pool in the center of it. The hummus is spread out in a , leaf or flour and there's plenty of it. Plenty of rice. And a delicious salad. They're dressing is so good. Not super sour/tangy. Great presentation too. The portions are more than enough. Really, two people could've eaten at my plate. The baklava is excellent. Service is good. Nice atmosphere. I love this place.

The most recent time, I had a sesame bagel with the chiltepin cream cheese. I loved that the bagel had sesame seeds on both sides! I've been here once so far and honestly, I'm not just a fan. I'm an air conditioner! I'll admit that on that Saturday that I came across Don Guerra, I had originally went to another bagel shop that was sold out of bagels two hours before closing. I was disappointed as that place wasn't nearby. But this place, Don Guerra Bagel & Slice, is so close to home that I'm embarrassed to admit I should have came here sooner. - Slice Potato & Onion Pizza Combo ($11.00 - Olive oil, sea salt, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, red onion, potato, rosemary, honey drizzle. Option of salad, chips, or wheatberry salad): We got this with the wheatberry salad and a 20 oz cold brew to wash it down with. As someone who loves a good potato pizza, this one right here... oh my gosh. It even beats another place's potato pizza from a local cidery that I truly love. Get this. GET IT. - Jalapeño bagel with lox cream cheese ($6.00 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): I heard the lox cream cheese was really good with the rosemary and salt bagel by one of the staff members but I couldn't pass up a good jalapeño bagel. And honestly, this bagel was perfection. Had I been in a skirt, it would have flipped over how good it was. - 6 Pack of Jalapeño Bagels ($18.50 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): The bagel I got was so good, I had to order more for the week. I enjoyed the heck out of these for the next few days. - Chiltepin Cream Cheese ($6.50): As soon as I saw "chiltepin," I was sold. A Chiltepin or Bird Pepper, is a wild, hot pepper native to the Americas, often considered the ancestor of cultivated peppers. It's a perennial shrub with small, white flowers and tiny, red, very spicy berries that are dispersed by birds, and it thrives in warm, sunny conditions with well-draining soil. My grandma and parents use to grow them and I didn't realize how good I had it until I tried looking for my own chiltepin plant to grow. I can't find any so I guess I'll just have to come here for some cream cheese. - Chocolate Cherry Loaf ($12.00 - Only sold on Saturday and Sunday): Yum yum YUM!!! There's another local bakery in town that makes a chocolate cherry loaf but it's seasonal to Valentine's Day. Here at Don Guerra's Barrio Bagel & Slice, you can get it all year-long during the weekends. GET IT! - Sourdough Starter ($0.00 - FREE!): I was not a sourdough girlie during the pandemic but I've always been curious. Will this survive? We'll see. They have a helpful laminated sheet that teached you how to take care of your starter. Make sure you take a picture of it if you're attempting to start it. They're open daily from 7 AM-3 PM.
