Today was my first visit to Flo's Tips 'n Toes but it won't be my last! I felt comfortable here from the minute I walked in the door. The salon is decorated so-o-o-o cute; it's girly but still sophisticated. It is very clean & beautifully furnished. Flo greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She is so personable and she immediately felt like an old friend! She took the time to ask me what I wanted and then actually listened to what I said. Both my mani & pedi turned out beautifully. Flo offers many other services so check out her website. There is off-street parking which is very convenient and it is very close to the train for all you commuters! Give Flo's a try. Due to the changes in the state, I decided to try out a new place that took appointments. I booked my appointment right through Yelp. Flo got back to me right away. Due to needing an afternoon appointment, it took a couple of days to get in It was a new experience for me being the only person in a nail shop. That part I greatly enjoyed. Chairs were slightly uncomfortable, but still ok. For a small place she has a decent selection of nail colors. Previous reviewers had stated their no chip lasted 3 weeks so looking forward to that! She really took her time on my nails. Prices were slightly higher than what I am used to paying in the area (it was $95 for a pedicure and no chip). However, to get the whole place to myself? I have never had my no chip manicure last more than a week and a half, but my no chip from Flo lasted 3 weeks chip free until my next apt. It was my first time visiting Flo's Tips n Toes. I would like to say I was very pleased with Flo. I loved the atmosphere, I love the hospitality and I loved the conversation. The only thing I will say is again, it was my first time seeing Flo after my manacurist closed shop so she has to get to know what I like. Afterall, It took many visits for Evelyn and I to get on the same page and for her to know what I liked and wanted with my manis and pedis. Excellent gel manicures from Flo. Her manicures last a lot longer than 2 weeks. I have been going to her for 5 months and not once has there been a chip. Never. Since I have been going to Flo, my nails and cuticles have never looked better and my nails are much stronger. I used to have a nail that wanted to split, but no more. I have been a customer of Florence's for over twenty years. I have followed her from her Oak Park location which is thirty minutes away from my home. That speaks to the level of service received in a time when there are multitudes of nail salons. The salon is clean, welcoming. The decor is pleasing to the eye with signs thst will make you smile. I have been especially impressed with Flo's diligence and professionalism in tackling some "issues" I have with my toes.
