Top Thai has very tasty vegetarian meals. The basil eggplant, the tofu pad thai and sweet and sour tofu (fried) are all excellent. I have been getting take out from this place from about 2-3 years. Also, if you eat there, the service is consistently good. We do take out more often-- especially when we have company. It is always a hit. I ordered the Tom yum soup with coconut milk and shrimp and the shrimp pad thai. Wasn't spicy at all even though I ordered medium level spice. The soup was really good and I loved how big and juicy the shrimps were. However the pad thai lacked flavor and towards the bottom of my pad thai the noodles were stuck together and hard, so the sauce didn't stick to it very well. I ended up only eating the top half of my pad thai. Also don't drink the water, it tasted like they scooped it out of the toilet. Gross! Lol order a canned soda instead. read more

this is the best family restaurant! Our kids absolutely love the wonton soup and chicken fried rice. We've probably only eaten about a 10th of the menu and that is only because it is absolutely huge. The service is consistent and fantastic. We consider this our regular family restaurant. Every once in a while the small parking lot is full but street parking is very accessible close by and free. read more

I have been a loyal customer here for the past 6 years and I can say this is my favorite Thai restaurant. OR WAS. Since they have changed management a couple of months ago, I have noticed that the quality has gone down, in not just the food, but also the customer service. Some key things to look out for: 1.) They have been EXTREMELY stingy with ingredients and servings overall: -The pineapple fried rice used to have a lot more pineapple and cashews and the last couple of times I have ordered, I only received maybe 4-5 pieces of pineapple and a very few cashews. -Their serving for the mango & sticky rice has noticeably decreased, while the price stayed the same -The new owner changed the thai tea recipe so that it no longer contains condensed milk. How do I know? The new manager (owner) proudly boasted this new change in the recipe the time I complained about how the Thai tea tasted sub-par, not knowing the restaurant was under new management. 2.) The new manager (or owner) does not know the concept of customer service: -During the first time I ate here under new management, the new owner seated us and took our orders. The restaurant was empty and we requested to sit a particular table, but the owner gave us attitude and sat us at a smaller table (maybe because it would be easier to clean? who knows....). All of that aside, we didn't think the dining experience would be affected.. UNTIL SHE TOOK OUR ORDER. While my family and I were ordering, she had a tendency to rush (WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT) and kept running away while we were still ordering, not really seeming interested in serving us. When my brother had a question about the panang curry, she seemed annoyed and could not give him a proper explanation. I have always received amazing service at this establishment and the way we were treated by the new owner/manager was just unacceptable. All in all, I gave this a two star rating because I would still like to keep coming here but there are some serious improvements that need to be made. To the new manager: please keep it together and uphold the high standards that the previous owner had for this excellent establishment. I always bragged that Top Thai is the best restaurant in San Dimas (Not Lucky Elephant) so please, try harder. read more

If you are in the mood for Thai food I highly recommend this place. Also, we live close to this establishment, and we appreciate that they deliver. I have been coming here for some time now and always enjoyed it, but recently the food took a turn for the worst. I started asking around and apparently there is a new owner that is cutting corners on costs and that might explain the change in the food. If they are cutting costs on the food it makes me wonder if they a cutting corners on cleaning and if they even paying their new employees a fair wage. read more

I've eaten here several times, including under the previous ownership and name. I like it. My main reason for writing now is that I think some people are mixing up restaurants for their Yelp reviews. As far as I know there is only one Top Thai Table location and that is in San Dimas. None in Redlands or Monrovia, etc. There is a similarly named Top Thai with seemingly several locations. I don't even remember seeing Chinese Drinks on the menu so I have no idea how someone could get either cold or warm Boba Drinks. Siam Thai in La Verne, and Rosie's Thai in Charter Oak are great too. read more

Ok, this place is starting to kind of suck. It used to be pretty good. At least it tasted like Thai food. Ever since the new management took over it feels fake. They added a bunch of Chinese and non-Thai dishes to the menu (Spaghetti, at a Thai restaurant?) I ordered the Thai bbq chicken, what I got was plain grilled chicken with NO SEASONING at all. When I asked what they used on their chicken the server proudly told me that they don't use any spices. No spices in Thai food? For lunch, where as before they offered a pretty tasty spicy vegetable lemongrass soup with your order, they now serve corn chowder. Plain corn chowder. The menu is now basically 50% Chinese food, which is ok unto itself but not great. They also offer some Americanized stuff like avocado egg rolls and cheese wontons. I used to come to this place a lot, instead now I think I'll go to Lucky Elephant down the street, at least there you can actually get Thai food. read more

this place is great! i have never been disapointed by the curry dishes or there many noodle dishes. i have eaten at allot of thai places and only one was better than top thai and there over 20 miles away. top that is only 1 1/2 blocks from my house. my wife and i like to order take out and pick it up. sometimes we will go inside and eat here on a date. the service has always been decent if not great. i highly recommend this place! read more

We receive coupons for our local city. They advertised a coupon for a free entree w/ a purchase of 2 beverages. The coupon in fine print says maximum discount they will take no matter what the entree is, is only $5.00. The cheapest drink there are their fountain soda's for $2.25 each!!! Therefore you will only get a discount of $0.50. Thats no deal!! Keep in mind it was a Friday night @ 8:30pm and there were NO customers in there besides me and 2 other people. You would think they would still honor the coupon and not force us to buy 2 drinks. When I spoke to the manager, he argued about it with me (the CUSTOMER) and said, "it is what it is". So rude and anything to extract an extra penny. Food was good, service was awful, despite the food being good, I will not return to a place to have a manager argue with me and not honor a coupon. been coming here for a couple years since the office is around the corner. the place is pretty good ill usually get the yellow curry lunch special which comes with rice, salad or soup. the peanut sauce on the salad is the best. ive also had the pad se ew, pad thai and pepper beef which were also good and the fried wontons were good too. the only dish i wouldnt recommend would be the bbq chicken which was pretty dry and tough, maybe it was a bad day for the chicken. all in all ill stop by for lunch once a month or if clients are craving for thai food close by. read more

This place is great for vegetarians. I eat meat, but my wife does not. My son and I can get chicken, ribs or duck, and my wife can get the same dishes with Tofu. I'll eat them both ways. It's that good. We love spicy food, so we order our dishes "medium spicy", but you can get them any way you like. This is comfort food to the max- and they deliver locally! We've taken very picky eaters to Top Thai and never heard a complaint. Everyone from my 6 year old to my Father loves this place! This is where we go for family dinners, romantic nights out, and quick lunches. Order lots of entrees and take leftovers home, you will be craving them the next day! Me and my family eat at this place very often, the food is good and clean and the Thai boba is amazing! And I don't even like Thai boba, ha. The prices are not cheap cheap, but you definately get the quality you pay for. I enjoy the chicken kabob appetizer with cucumber sauce, followed by some pad Thai and smoked tofu plate, but really everything I've tried there has been good. It's a little chilly in there tho, and personally I think the tv in there takes away from the overall ambiance, but besides that, five stars! read more

But they alao have a robust offering of titillating deserts! Mango and sticky rice is a must have when available. Right now they are offering black sticky rice and thai custard. I really wanted to like this thai restaurant. My husband and I just moved to San Dimas a couple months ago and were looking for a new place to eat in the area. So I called Top Thai to receive take out to celebrate a family occasion with some pad see ew, wonton soup, and some chicken chow mein. The pad see ew, which I asked for medium spicy, was as bland as can be. Not only was it not spicy, it had absolutely no flavor. It was as if they cooked noodles then just put them in the Styrofoam box without any sauce. The wonton soup was cilantro heavy (which fortunately I love) but it had only one meager wonton at the very bottom of the container! A more accurate description should have been cilantro chicken broth instead of wonton soup. The chicken chow mein was the only semi-edible thing that we had and even that was nothing but bland bland bland... We won't be going here again. :( read more

I tend to go with pad thai or pad see ewe but have sampled some of the fried rices. All in all, pretty good. The pad thai is unique and comes with a very sweet taste. It almost tastes as if the noodles are caramelized and it looks more orange than most pad thais. I've ordered it super spicy and the spice was okay but then you miss out on the caramelized taste and the noodles taste bland. The pad see ewe has a different taste every time, sometimes amazing, sometimes okay. The rices have been saltier and with less spice than I'd like but good in their own way. Portions are good. Staff is nice. I'd recommend this place if you like sweet over spice. read more
