I contacted Top to Bottom Services at the suggestion of my agent. I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience. I would like to add the caveat that my house contract fell through and I did not get the house so my review is only for the inspection process and their excellent customer service, not the long term outcome of the inspection. Having said that: 1) My inspector was extremely thorough and uncovered many problems with the house. He looked at things I never would have thought of. 2) My inspector went onto the roof and also into the attic. He crawled around the beams inside the roof and did not just stick his head up through the entrance. 3) My inspector wrote a great report, full of pictures and details and was more than willing to spend email and phone time after the inspection to discuss and explain where we had questions. 4) During the inspection, my inspector was more than willing to answer my many questions and 'talk to me like I was stupid', without treating me like I was stupid. 5) The price was reasonable after pricing several inspectors. They accepted payment by check on site after the inspection. 6) This last comment is for Top to Bottom and not my inspector. Setting up the appointment was easy. Their customer service on the phone was excellent. When I had to reschedule due to a sudden conflict they were able to change the appointment without issue. For those reasons, I will use them for my next home inspection as we continue to look for a home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

DO NOT USE Top To Bottom Services if you want a legitimate inspection of your new home. I would give a negative star if that was a thing. We paid TTBS to inspect our new build by Brookfield with a pre and post drywall inspection as recommended. Everything was great until the issues with the home started popping up. Our floors began to bounce and sag, our cabinets started falling forward off the walls, and our windows rattle, shake and pop whenever there is wind. This is all due to DOZENS of code violations their inspector missed. Brookfield is now refusing to look into the issues further and are forcing us into legal action. This has been a complete nightmare and it all started with TTBS "inspection". I use that term loosely. The worst of it all is when I called to get their help in making things right, the manager asked me to sign a release form waving them from liability! Please please please use another company so you don't end up in the nightmare I find myself in. It's impossible to sell the house as is and no one wants to take responsibility. In summery, thanks to TTBS, our forever home turned into a million dollar nightmare. read more

We had our (hopefully) new home inspected by Jim Parlato. He was amazing! He went over every single room and item with us and he was so patient and answered all of our questions- and we had a lot as first-time home buyers! They had told us to leave 2-4 hours for the inspection, and the whole inspection took about 3.5 hours, including the radon placement. He checked everything incredibly thoroughly, and we left feeling really confident in the shape of our home. We really appreciated his expertise. I would absolutely use him again. We also appreciated that the termite inspection was scheduled at the same time. Getting everything done on the same day was quick and easy and made us much less stressed. My only complaint is that we called Top to Bottom Services during a time when the website said they would be open. It rang for awhile and eventually went to voicemail, and we left a message. Nobody had called us back within a day, and we were hoping to get the inspection done that week, so we called back and immediately someone picked up and helped us schedule an inspection. Small detail, but the fact that they didn't call us back briefly made us consider looking elsewhere. I'm glad we stuck with them though! read more

I'm uncertain if all your employees are this thorough but if they are you have an amazing company. Where should I start. He was very friend, appropriately responded to questions, and literally checked the house from top to bottom, no pun intended. After he completed the inspection I desperately wanted to tip him but I didn't want the presumption of bribery so I didn't. The following day I received a detailed report that read like a college research paper with pictures for clarification and a great summary for quick finds; and if you can believe this, he had a glossary to define terminologies used in the report. I am a very satisfied consumer. The cost was worth every penny. I highly recommend this company and will definitely refer friends here and use them for my next purchase.
