Where to start. I've contacted these gentlemen numerous times for all sorts of jobs from tree removal to landscaping, and these guys have delivered exceptional service every time! For the work they do, I would have to pay nearly double with some other contractors, and I'm not so confident that the other contractors could still pull off the quality of work Top Unit provides. Paid Top Unit to have a tree removed and the stump ground down 24" below ground level, as stated by George. I was not home when the job was "completed" and I had left payment in advance. When I came home I saw that the stump was ground down to about 8" below ground level and not the 24" we had agreed upon. I called George 3 times and left 2 messages. Its been 17 days and I have not received a call back, so I had to hire another company to finish the job I already paid George and Top unit to do. read more

I had a tree stump around eighteen inches in diameter which I needed ground out. I called in the morning and George Poe one of the partners said they would be over later on in the day. Even though he didn't quite make it over when he said he would, he did show up with his crew later on in the afternoon. We agreed on the price and he was ready to start grinding. We had a very large and very old "tree of heaven" which was rotten and hollowed out, as well as an ash tree which was growing in a precarious area.
