I never knew that this place existed until I got an invite to attend an Elite Yelp event today. This place is soooo beautiful! The food and drink they served today were all so delicious with beautiful presentation. My favorite was the filet mignon as It was so tender. My favorite dessert was the apple pie with vanilla ice cream. All the staff especially the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. There are lots of seatings inside and outside. I don't think you need to worry about getting too cold by sitting outside because there are lots of heaters. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who would like to enjoy a nice meal with a spectacular view! read more

~ DRINKS & DINNER WITH A VIEW ~ I was excited to learn that Topa Restaurant was opening up to non-members during social hours, especially since I'd heard great reviews from some friends who are members. However, when we arrived, we were turned away despite being there at the right time and were told we needed a reservation. With the restaurant still pretty empty, we quickly made a reservation on yelp and asked if we could be seated then. The staff seemed confused, and the manager seemed frustrated that we were making the reservation at the last minute. We ended up having a cocktail and enjoying the poached pear and arugula salad with some wagyu meatballs, which were all pretty tasty. While the restaurant is stunning and would be a lovely place to spend an evening, and the food and drinks were enjoyable, the overall experience makes me reluctant to return. I do hope the they improve their service so that future patrons feel more welcomed and less like a burden, as Topa has the potential to be a fantastic spot in Camarillo. read more

This place has great curb appeal and becomes even more stunning once you get inside. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and modern. The view is what really steals the show however. Unfortunately the day I went it was overcast, but I still could appreciate it nonetheless. The staff was extremely friendly and punctual. I've seen the other reviews about nonmembers being turned away and I hope this has been since corrected since IT is advertised that you can make a reservation through Yelp. I will try in the future and update my review accordingly. Now to the food. This is where we lose one star. The appetizers and dessert were fantastic, but the main course was a bit lacking in flavor. My husband and I had a spontaneous date night here and it was such a beautiful setting as the sun set, with a panoramic view of Camarillo. As long as you reserve through Yelp, non members are welcome certainly nights. (Check the availability when you reserve on Yelp.). I had the salmon with a savory herbal pesto and my husband had the carnitas. We even had room for dessert, which was the flourless chocolate. Mackenzie was our server and she was super sweet, professional, and extremely welcoming. She made us feel at home. We hope to return with some friends soon! read more

This review is for the Topa restaurant and it's poor management I called in to ask if I could come in as a nonmember and was told that absolutely yes during social hours and I only need reservations for dinner time after 5pm My family and I came into the place during social hours and were refused to be served by the manager, with a reason that we need to have a reservation on Yelp to be able to sit down. We mentioned the fact that the staff told us we can come in without reservations during social hours. The manager's reason was the staffs were new and untrained. So their untrained staff had caused us time and energy and disappointment. We have a one year old and it took time and energy to get out of the house and drove there. It was disappointing and the manager was very rude and inflexible. The place was literally empty with 2 persons sitting at the bar. She made her decision to send us away, and at the same time still tried to get us to sign up to be a member. I was baffled. No I'm not coming back. We have at least 2 friends as members there and they have asked us to join for lunch or drinks. I don't think we will ever come back to that place after this experience. As a local wedding coordinator, I have been to Spanish Hills many times over the years, but I finally had the privilege of dining at their members only restaurant. The remodel is stunning! So much detail went into the decor choices and overall ambience. I was very impressed!! My friend and I started with martinis, and I was already sold when they had blue cheese stuffed olives. We decided to split the poached pear and arugula salad, it was incredible. But the star of the show was the braised short ribs with pasta. I'm still thinking about it..... the Wagyu meatballs were also a great addition. I wish we had saved room for dessert because the dessert menu was more extensive than most! We felt so taken care of by the staff, special shout out to our server Kenzie who was patient with us as we continue to chat instead of looking at the menu when we first sat down. Dining at Topa Restaurant was just lovely. The food speaks for itself because we couldn't wait to take pictures, we just had to start digging in. I got the short rib dish, which just melted in your mouth. The pasta within the dish itself was an excellent decision and brought the dish even further up in the ranks, which I didn't think was possible. My family thoroughly enjoyed their wedge and caesar salads before their entrees, the miso salmon and chicken parmesan dishes, were brought out. They had nothing but good things to say. Our server Kenzie was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of during our meal. Other members of the dinner service like Shamsi, Kiana, Jack, Max, Christian, and Nick, were incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home. The bartender Andie made delicious drinks, we got a spicy margarita and mojito crafted by them and it was out of this world! I recently visited Topa Restaurant and Lounge at Spanish Hills and was pleasantly surprised! This is exactly what Camarillo needs! Upon entering the restaurant we were welcomed with a delightful and welcoming scent and greeted by two friendly hostesses. The ambiance was perfect and peaceful. The entrance is modern, airy and bright and If you're into gorgeous views, I recommend sitting on the terrace, you will not be disappointed. The view starts with the golf course, Sterling Hills, Somis and in the far distance the Topa Mountains. Top that off with a cool ocean breeze to unwind on a warm summer day. Aubrey and Kasey provided top tier service and made sure all our needs were met and made some great recommendations. We are foodies and frequent many establishments throughout LA and California, so we made sure to try as much as we could. The menu is an Asian fusion and did not disappoint. The short rib sliders had a generous amount of meat and flavor with pickled ginger and carrots. The spicy tuna shrimp tempura sushi burrito was in my opinion, better than Kye's in Santa Monica (which has sadly closed since Covid) It was fresh and so flavorful. The tri tip sandwich on a French roll was superb served with onion rings,a large pickle spear and horseradish ranch dip, delish! The steak bowl was fresh healthy and had a generous portion of steak, avocado,spinach,brown rice and vegetable's. As for adult beverages, The Paloma was refreshing with a black salt rim and garnished with the biggest grapefruit wedge Ive ever had! Such a nice treat on a warm summer day.
