My boyfriend and I finally decided to go here and it was amazing! On Tuesdays the hourly rate for golfing is half priced, so of course we went then. Just to be safe we reserved a bay since we didn't know how busy it would be; the process was simple and fast, totally recommend it. When we got there, clear vinyl tarps were up between each bay and hand sanitizer stations were available between every few stations, the driving area is naturally spaced between each golfer (over 6 feet), however you aren't required to wear a mask while in your bay but if you feel safer wearing it while swinging, more power to you. I watched a bay next to ours get sanitized and they made sure to wipe down everything, including the vinyl dividers! I felt secure knowing they were being so cautious with sanitizing everything. Every employee had a mask on and I don't remember seeing a single one with their nose out, bonus points! The food was delicious and their mixed drinks were great, the Topgolf tea was a perfect combo of sweet and tart. The fried chicken sandwich was a nice flaky crisp on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. The buffalo chicken dip was also good; it all was worth every penny. I'm guessing the balls have tracking devices inside because you can see how far your ball went and get points if it goes into one of the targets. My boyfriend smoked me on the target points but had we gone by distance I would have smoked him! Hi! Poor service and commitment. We reserved a class for my son's birthday party and received a confirmation. When we came there with all the guests, they just popped their eyes and said that the instructor was out for personal reasons, and there's nothing they can do. There's a plenty of things they could do, e.g. let us know about the situation and cancel, or find a replacement but they did nothing. If I could give zero stars I would. We went at 3pm on a Monday and there were about 10 cars in the parking lot. The wait was 90 minutes. The staff at the front desk was not helpful. Young teenager who were standing around taking. Kid really wanted to play so we went to Cabela's to kill time. The text process was easy. Every time we have been to a top golf there were couches, instead our bay was high top tables like you are at a bar. They were extremely uncomfortable. We were going to stay longer but due to the experience we only stayed 1 hr. There were also several open bays but we could not switch. This place is a silly assortment of goofy golf games that are difficult to understand and even more ridiculous to play. They even attempted a reality show on golf channel that failed miserably. I love top golf.... But I must say the top golf in Allen, Tx was a let down. There is no ball trajectory system and half the time scoring shots were not recorded automatically. Also no angry birds game as in several others I had been to. Since there is no trajectory recognition it doesn't record a missed shot till you pull the next ball. This was an excellent and fun place to go with my wife and adult son. I don't golf, but it was an extremely enjoyable "driving range" concept. There is a chip in each bowl that tracks its course in multiple targets. If you get a Target, you get a certain score. They are very comfortable couches or bar chairs and tables, a large table, and adjustable heating controls. They have an extremely inexpensive menu of foods and drinks, and a large separate bar and restaurant area. They also have conference rooms and private rooms for special events. First time here. What can I say for a 15% expected minimum tip for a tab close to $200 the waiter shined for his absence and lack of service. Whoever invented this place is a genius. I'm not a golfer or athletic in anyway. This place is a blast. It is three stories and you can hit golf balls off of any of the levels into targets. Each target is worth a different amount of points. It is all electronic and it keeps score for you. My sons are preteens and they beg to go there. If you go during the weekday it is $20 an hour until 6 PM. Each person must have a playing card. During the winter they have heaters over the hitting bays and the seating so it is comfortable on a cool day or night. read more

So instead of brunch I had the opportunity to alter my Sunday experience while in Dallas and get a little golfing in. I love to "pretend" I can golf so this was a perfect outing. I absolutely adore the set up. It includes many grouped off areas for individuals to large groups to golf, which include seating and waiters for your section. It's pretty neat! Even with your private section you are still close enough to talk to neighboring boots. It's a pretty laid back environment no matter your skill level with golfing, so you all can have a little fun together as well as see how you doing in golfing with censored balls that actually relay your score back to the board. I saw everyone from 7 year olds and up at this location. It's truly a great environment for family, friends, and dating outings in my opinion. On Sundays, there are Mimosa deals and I personally think there is nothing better than drinking Mimosa and golfing. Other great deals during this time as well. The great thing is along with your purchase of games you can get clubs to borrow for everyone in your party if they do not own any. On a nice weather Sunday, check them out around Noon, you will definitely not be disappointed in this reasonably priced place. read more

Me and some friends decided to go golfing because a friend from out of town is here for the holidays. We all got off work in the afternoon and went to top golf to put our name in on the list around 8:35. We asked what time our Bay would be ready and the front desk clerk said around a hour to a hour and a half. So we were ok with it. Fast forward to the time of our reservation and we get seated and we are all logging into the system around 9:30. Then a associate ask if we are all above 18 (we all were besides my younger brother who's 16) and then he asks for ID's and says we cant stay unless we're with someone either 21 or above. Then I explain that we've been waiting for an hour and the front desk clerk never told us this rule and didn't even ask if we were above 18. He offers us coupons and we take them knowing we won't get anything else. Next time train your employees to tell the above 18 rule after 9. Ruined a night and wasted a lot of gas traveling an hour to get here. Talked to nearly 3 desk clerks and none even bothered to say anything. I came here for a work event and found the service very good. It was the middle of the day on a Thursday, but there were quite a few bays being used. Our corporate players cards did not have our names on them, so it was difficult to track who's turn it was. They promptly replaced our cards with ones with names. There was another issue with balls not registering but we never inquired about it, but it was annoying. The drinks kept coming and the food setup was clean and professional. The chicken skewers and salmon was top notch (reminded me of wedding food) and there was plenty for the group. The infused donuts were a hit and so delicious! But..one thing that really gets me EVERY time I come here? The wait staff is BEYOND TERRIBLE!!! They're not attentive at all! It takes ages to get your drinks. Sometimes they even get your food wrong or it comes cold... who wants to eat a cold burger? It takes 30 minutes to order something and another 30 minutes to get it.. Then another 30 minutes before you even get a chance to ask for the check! What's even more unprofessional? The wait staff will sit and smoke around you. I guess their break time and their prerogative to do whatever they want...but something about sitting around the tables/bays to smoke seems less than classy...especially when no one else at the neighboring bays are smoking... And in agreement with a fellow Yelper who had posted about the bad attitudes of the front-end staff. Totally agree!! Last time I was here, I walked up to ask how much longer the wait was.. The young waitresses really hustle and check in often. Indoor bar area was pretty happening. Didn't explore all the facilities, but they appear to have a good assortment of table games as well. Minor gripes: offer a more expansive craft beer selection; offer at least a couple evenings a week where the hourly dips below $40! When we arrived, there were people in front of us without reservations heading to bays to play golf. When it was our turn, they said we were a little early and would have to wait a few minutes. Got some drinks and let the kids play in the arcade. Fast forward to 6:40, they tell us it will be over an hour wait before we can play. I'm living a Seinfield episode! When you just do not have time for a quick round on the course, this may help get you over the disappointment! It is a separate system than the older location in Dallas so supposedly that is why we have to have new cards, etc. It also is just the golf part, and does not have a mini-golf or batting cage. However, it is now my favorite place for Top Golf. It's just a little nicer, and once they get the poor overheated systems fixed, then it will be a lot smoother for everyone. It's like "ski-ball" for golf, with those concentric rings that you can make points on. A lot of fun, and can get a golf newbie hooked before you have a chance to yell "FOUR." Yes, the drink and food prices are a little high- but it is standard bar food. The "mushi" roll is tasty, albeit fried. So go for it, have fun, and before you know it, you'll be booking some lessons with an instructor, which they also have there on site! read more

The weekend of valentine's day, hubby and I visited friends in Dallas and we finally went to top golf. This place is top notch FUN !! Our server was on point and the food and drink exceeded what I thought they would be. ..seeing as how it is kinda like bar food. The bays were comfortable. .they had fans and heaters. Been here many times with the family before, always a great experience. Today was the exact opposite. Our bay was broken. Stopped delivering balls about 10 balls in. No problem, it was raining, we understand. They sent 4 service people over, finally some guy in an orange shirt fixed it. Happened again. This time, we asked if we could move bays. They just stared at us. So they fixed it again. We played some. It happened AGAIN! The machine broke SEVEN TIMES in our hour and a half. Then some lady came over and said they'd been having trouble with all the bays that had our number on every level--BUT THEY NEVER MOVED US. They were nowhere near full. Ridiculous. They were pretty slow with the food and drinks on the first round, but then started trying to over compensate with food and drink service for the bay being broken repeatedly. It got awkward. I couldn't think of any other ways to nicely say "no, we don't need anything. Just our machine to stop breaking." Finally a manager (I guess) came over and apologized and said she had some $10 off cards from us. I asked for a gift card. She said she didn't have any and then said she'd comp our golf. And then she didn't. She only comped part of it. I know she didn't have to comp any, but if you say you will then JUST DO IT OR DONT OFFER. Will probably try a different location. My husband's favorite place! The staff is extremely helpful, they make sure to notify you when the time is running out. There was a little confusion based on the membership charge, but we finally got it! The food was really good, especially the taco appetizers. It is definitely a splurge but very much worth your time. Make sure to take a sweater if the forecast says it will be cold, there are lamps that warm up the table a little bit, but it is not enough if you are always cold LIKE ME! Some of my friends live in Dallas, so the last two times we have visited there we go to Topgolf. It's a great atmosphere and something fun to do for groups of all ages. There are different games you can play, but we always do the simple one where you just make it in certain slots to get points. We also ate dinner here which was good. I ordered the turkey avocado wrap, but I was already pretty full off of the appetizers. I still ate part of my wrap and tots and brought the rest home. I came with a group of friends Wednesday 12/29. Our server was great and gives this place an extra star, but everything else was bad. The scorecard and the sensor for the balls don't work well. My friends and I started stacking balls so we didn't have to wait forever. A lady in a red shirt, seemingly a manager, came over and told us to stay behind the line and to only take one ball at a time. I understand and respect the rule for safety reasons, but she used a very rude tone and passive aggressively kicked our balls out into the field. But they had to have our two!!! $300 spent for one hour and 20 minutes and rudely told to go. We will drive elsewhere to go to top golf....The Colony location is far, but not going back to Allen.
