We've visited twice. First time was great, fun family entertainment, open air, good food and okay service (had to track down the waitress for our bill long after we were checked out and she kept bringing wrong drinks). Would have given 4 stars, but fortunately we went back a few days later. We were placed in a suite at the end and the experience was so much different. Much more difficult to use the facility due to the "targets" being nearly inaccessible. Couldn't wait for our hour to be over. Based on the second experience, I wouldn't want to go back. A group of about 15 of us came at 6pm tonight to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the usual round of drinks and food. No special request- nothing unusual. ALL of the food for the rest of the party arrived except ours. Waited about 30 more minutes and server brought manager who comped 1/2 the order and added play time - cool. He assured us ours was up asap. Meanwhile food continues to be delivered all around. Others in our party order more food and it comes too. Still no food at the two hour mark. Ask for the manager again - not surprised he comps our whole ticket. Well yes - we've had none of it so that's appropriate. Explains how busy kitchen is and yet everyone else's arrives? I'm now done. I'd prefer to give Top Golf a 3.5. Since I'm not a big golfer, my review is going to be more about the food and food service, than the driving range itself. BUT, I will say that the driving range part (the whole reason why anyone should go to Top Golf) was fun. $25 per hour (open to noon), $35 hour (noon to 5), $45 (5 to close) seems reasonable and these hourly charges are for up to 6 people. Now, since I'm all about my food ::cracks knuckles:: We (2 people) sat in the bar area while we waited for a bay (30-45 minutes). The bar/restaurant area seemed to be appropriately staffed, yet 10 minutes went by before a server approached our table. She took our drink order and didn't offer to take our food order at the same time (we had been waiting long enough to decide on drinks and food). When she did return to take our order, we ordered wings. She immediately asked if we wanted to try 3 sauces, which we said yes to... NOT KNOWING THAT THIS OPTION IS FOR 3 ORDERS OF WINGS FOR $26. Basically, our server upsold to us without even mentioning the price. I find this to be incredibly deceitful. It took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks. Our food came out about 5 minutes later and NOTHING WAS HOT. The fries and wings were barely warm, and the chicken and waffle sliders were practically cold (the gravy that was on the side, was almost ice cold). Regardless of my sincere unhappiness with the wait, the temperature of the food, and the shadiness of the server, the food was good. I thought the chicken and waffle sliders were pretty ingenious (they probably would've tasted better if the gravy wasn't cold). The fries were seasoned well (again, they probably would've tasted better if they weren't cold). The wings were a good size (not huge, but not tiny) and the sauces were delicious (finally, they probably would've tasted better if they weren't cold). If it was any other day, I would've sent every bit of food that came out to our table back to the kitchen. Food should be hot when served. Also, servers need to be more upfront about upselling. (If you ask me if I want 3 different sauces, it shouldn't cost $16 more.) Would I go back to Top Golf? Maybe. But, I'd definitely go earlier in the day and bring friends. read more

Well we stopped off here after the meteor shower on Aug 12 and 3 times we requested the rooftop lounge from various staff and 3 times we were directed to the restroom because the employee was deeply engrossed in a personal conversation with another staff person. We have nbeen looking for another night option and the salads in Hillsboro and simple meals look good. The staff stand around the concierge desk talking about school and whatever not watching that guests are trying to get around them. No, they just stand there blocking access to the bar and the info sign, and of course, the desk itself. Btw, this is not a family spot. I watched a 50+ year old woman dry hump a seated male while he swigged his beer. Also it's chock a block full of douchey college dudes in jerseys, so if that's your scene or if your looking for a young adult female to do your laundry and meals this maybe the spot for you. read more

These teenagers cut me and my friend off when we were completely sober because we 'locked arms' on the way to the bathroom, then avoided our party completely for the next 1.5 hours. I talked with the 'manager' and was 'cleared' to drink after the first encounter and are still completely sober.....waiting.... This place sucks. read more

Very fun time for birthdays! They will try to accommodate larger parties by keeping you together but they can't guarantee it, so get there early! The lines are long, especially if you don't have a membership card yet. If you've never been, it's similar to bowling but with golf. You take turns hitting golf balls into a huge area with different pits that count for different amounts of points. Each ball has a GPS tracker in it. The golf games are fun, you definitely don't need to have experience. There are a few games you can choose from. Their menu is pretty interesting and tasty. Unfortunately, the service is never more than mediocre. My first time there we had a very rude waitress. The next time ours was sweet but needed more support, she was slammed and all by herself in the bar with the fire pits. Next, we had someone else who must've been slammed because we never saw him. The management needs to provide more waitstaff support. It's cheaper the earlier you go in the day. read more

TopGolf itself is a ton of fun and a great social activity. I've already been there twice with different friends. Unlike say bowling, it allows players to go at their own pace and play as much or as little as they'd like. It's pretty pricey, even compared to some TopGolf's in other, bigger, cities (PDX sure likes to be disproportionately expensive!) so it's worth while to fill up your bay with friends and spread the cost. They also have a number of XBox Kinects, two pool tables, and one shuffleboard table. I'd really like to see them double the number of pool tables and shuffleboard tables. It's great they offer them for free, but they know what they're doing: keeping people around to order more high-margin drinks. Their upstairs bar/patio is nice but I can imagine it getting pretty crowded. There aren't nearly enough outdoor spaces in Hillsboro/Beaverton. The staff are a little over-imposing, but this may be an effect of over-staffing during opening/training. The reason for "A-OK" over "Yay, I'm a fan!" is the food. It's pretty disappointing. Burgers - perfectly OK, but on the pricey side. Brisket Grilled Cheese - waitress convinced me to get this. The brisket was utterly tasteless and barely there. This oneshould be called "grilled cheese with a little bit o' brisket". The bread was just too much and too greasy. It comes in two halves which I ended up pealing apart and moving all the contents from one to the other. For $1, you can sub a side salad for fries. My side salad was literally one fork-full. I had more dressing by volume than salad! I'd have thought it was a mistake, but that's as big as the bowl was (a condiment bowl). I should have taken a picture. After the over-greased brisket grilled cheese, I'd have loved a a legitimate side salad. Chicken and waffle sliders - this being Portland, you can get chicken and waffles pretty much everywhere. These guys are straight up chicken fingers sandwiched between a couple overcooked mini waffles. The "gravy" was really a butter sauce. The maple syrup tasted like corn syrup with food coloring. Disappointing. Pickle fries - I love pickles! I love fried pickles! These were way too much fry and way too little pickle. Everyone else who tried them left them to me. I left them for the trash. Spinach & goat cheese salad - Friend ordered this with dressing on the side. It showed up with dressing and they returned it. It sure looked good the first time, but it returned with half the toppings. Drinks - They need to dump half the domestics and pick up some more quality micro/craft beers. This is my first time coming to this TopGolf but I've been to other locations before. Just like the others, this is a great spot to grab some food, drinks and hit some golf balls. My husband and I particularly love TopGolf and its perfect for us to go play a few games and have a drink to start the weekend out right. The heat lamps were great and I was completely fine even without a jacket. They seem to have the process down and if you already have a player card you can go right to an open station and start playing! read more

Top golf itself was a great time but the process & service to get a bay was awful. Truly do not think they have standards when hiring:/ we were told at first, there would be a 2 hour wait so we decided to go in the restaurant which was our first mistake. We sat down and it took us about 25 minutes until we could actually get service and order drinks. After that it quite literally felt like we were ghosted , well over an hour before we were even asked for a refill on our drinks & almost 2 hours before we got our food. Couldn't find our waitress anywhere so we asked a girl at the computer for some water where we proceeded to get attitude and feel like an inconvenience:/ then at the two hour mark we asked for an update on our wait time where it was pushed back another hour. If my group would've known it was a 3 and a half hour wait with shitty service we wouldn't have stayed. Front desk was just as rude and disappointing. I understand staffing shortages, peak times etc but that leaves no excuse for managements inability to problem solve or plan accordingly with all of their "events". Came down from Tacoma for this so if you are able to get a reservation maybe you'll have better luck than us . Service & experience is way better at all other Top golf locations. read more

We ordered the nachos and they were not the traditional plate of chips smothered with toppings. My husband and I came here for a date night last night and had so much fun. We ordered drinks and food while we waited to play and they brought me nachos instead of the quesadilla I ordered. The waiter looked a little confused and kind of annoyed that I sent it back, but besides that little hiccup everything was awesome! They brought out my corrected order really fast and it was delicious. When our bay rental was ready they texted us to let us know and transferred our tab out to the bay which was convenient and at the bay the seating was comfy and they have heaters that you can control the temperature on so even though it was a little chilly we were nice and comfortable. Something I really liked even though I didn't use it was how family and mom friendly this establishment is. They have a mothers nursing room, changing tables, kids menu options, and even have brunch! Moms and kids like to have fun too and I truly appreciate how this establishment includes options and fun for the whole family. I'll definitely be back for more date nights with my husband, some double date nights with friends, girls night outs, and family day outs with my whole tribe. Our server was attentive, and our drinks and appetizers arrived promptly after ordering. Good food and drinks! The computer system is a little confusing, and the "even split" button wasn't working and we couldn't split our bill evenly. The staff weren't able to fix this, either. This place WILL get pricey after time in the bay, food and drinks. But the experience is very unique for those who have never golfed before! It is worth the top notch service and setup! The first time I went here I was unimpressed because it was quite chaotic and the service was horrible. However, I went here for a coporate team event and the food and service was really good. We had an area sectioned off, and the food was setup buffet style once we arrived. The staff was extremely attentive and she ensured that everyone had drinks and cleared off our plates immediately. We were also able to play and mingle within or designated area. Despite the fact that it was a little chilly, they had the outdoor overhead heaters that we were able to adjust ourselves. This time around there was ample parking so that was good. I definitely recommend this place for corporate events if you have a small-ish team. read more
