From an accessibility standpoint, I was actually impressed. They have an elevator to get to the bays, which was super helpful. I did have to walk a bit once I got off, but overall it wasn't too bad. They also have accessibility options if you want to participate in golfing, which I appreciated even though I didn't personally use them. Now let's talk about the FOOD because that sampler platter?? Worth every bit of that $42. It came with so much food and everything was actually good, not just filler. I also got the lemon pepper wings with buffalo sauce on the side--very meaty, solid portion (6 pieces), and definitely hit. Drinks?? Dangerous in the best way They were STRONG, like I was tipsy after two, but the crazy part is they didn't taste super alcohol-heavy. Perfect if you like cocktails that go down easy but still do their job. Service was on point too. They kept checking on us, bringing stuff out quickly, and we never felt like we were waiting around. We tried again - started off with promise. Checked in and got to our bay on time. Waited 15 minutes for a server to come By and place drink order. Dr. pepper was pure syrup only and the pepsis were watered down. I'd like to start off by saying that Jim is not a golfer. Not even the teeniest, slightest bit a golfer. This year my wife's company Christmas get-together was held at Top Golf. I thought "Cool". I'm not a golfer, but I'm not going to turn down a good time. Besides, I've been wanting to see how it turned out, especially after so many people in the area were whining about it going in and messing up their neighborhood. After looking around and watching others I decided that, while I'm not a golfer, that I could be at least as good as some of the others I saw. I'd gone golfing only once, it had been over 25 years since that ill-fated event. We were on the 2nd deck. It was the middle of December. Yes, it was cold, but there are some awesome heaters that kept you warm if you were basically behind the red line. Some asked me if I was cold when I went up to golf. I said "I'm from Michigan. I'm OK in short sleeves until it hits about 40°." This was a catered event, in that the food and beverage were provided by Top Golf. The food was surprisingly good for finger foods. The spinach/artichoke dip was astounding, and the mac & cheese was pretty stellar. Our server (whose name I didn't get) was ever-present and did a great job keeping the area clean and keeping up with our group as far as drinks went. The Golfing portion was actually pretty fun. There were a number of different types of games you could play and the scoring/tracking system was very highly sophisticated. Top Golf is an impressively large, expansive facility. We only got to see a portion of it, but I counted at least 3 bars and a gift shop. While I'm not much of a golfer, this trip to Top Golf was a lot of fun. I was really excited to finally come and try this place and I wasn't very thrilled. When you first walk in everything looks super nice. It's clean and the prices are actually pretty good. The problems came when we actually got to our spot. The service was not good. We were pushed to use the QR codes to order which is fine but they never worked. Making even my kids create an account so they can play is ridiculous. We should just be able to order our food. After we couldn't order with the QR code it took forever for our order to get taken by a person. The service was so slow and I kept getting sprayed on from the cleaning products used on tables next to us. The food is only mediocre. I want to go to play but not deal with the hassle of just trying to get my kids fed. read more

Topgolf has a Cobb salad that is fairly yummy and my top choice for lunch / dinner. After visiting another gaming venue nearby, I suggested stopping by Topgolf for dinner. Guest Services recommended we sit on the second or third floor. We took the steps to second tier and grabbed a table. The Cobb salad is a great size and has a nice row of every topping described plus grilled chicken. It is filling. Ordering was at the bar and we also grabbed our drinks there. Eventually a food runner brought our order to the table and thankfully he also assisted us with a few extras. I appreciated that because he was the only person that acknowledged or checked on us, including us finding our own utensils and napkins. The second floor felt more like we'd invaded the socializing space for managers and servers. Not a welcoming space plus it was fairly warm with little air flow. Jamie has been chomping at the bit to play golf since he got here June 5th. Too darn hot or too darn wet! Today we went to TopGolf on Oxford Lane (behind the mall). We had fun, his accuracy is very impressive, and even duffer status is too kind to me. But we had fun anyway from bay 115. Our first time there, and Josh -our server/helper - explained how everything worked. Fans kept us pretty cool, but I gave up and told Jamie to hit my shots. Man! Did my scores improve dramatically! While I sat and watched him lift balls over the net, he worked up a pretty good sweat. It was nothing like I'd expected, but we had a good morning / and he's ready to take his clubs out anytime now. I'm giving this review 5 stars d/t my family and I enjoyed ourselves and made memories and that is priceless! It was so hot outside but the bay had a fan that kept us somewhat cool and the kitchen door was right behind our bay so whenever someone went in or out we got a rush of cold air which was wonderful. Our server was very attentive, kept us in ice code water, and the beer was ice cold as well, the food was delivered timely, hot and delicious, price was reasonable for bay use and food. I will definitely go again. The only negative thing to comment on was too many balls on the ground. If u didn't hit ur ball high up it would bounce off all the balls on the ground, which was irritating for my grands, balls that could have went in the bunkers were deflected my the balls all over the green. We thought the temperature would be fine since the bays have "cooling fans". There are only fans; no AC, no misting. We didn't want to cancel due to scheduling constraints. So we trudged on. They did bring us plenty of water. We enjoyed the games despite our general lack of skills. The setup is easy like a game of bowling. But 2hrs in that heat for $130+ tax and tip is not what I would do again. Maybe when the weather cools off I would try that again. read more

I love that there are different games you can play so it's more laid back compared to a typical driving range. The fan favorites are the Sonic and Angry Bird games. We spent most of our time playing Angry Birds which was perfect for a beginner like myself. I had a blast trying to learn how to hit the ball and swing, and even managed to do well with the game. Another bad experience at another Top Golf. Met up with my dad and his new family (long story) to celebrate his son's 10th birthday. I'm aware that they usually want you out of the bay to clear room for the next guest. So I told the waitress that we were going to open presents afterwards and to give me a heads up when we needed to start leaving the bay. I remind her again of this during our golfing time. Afterward we open the present and do little cupcakes. Another gentlemen comes over and loudly says we need to get out the bay to make room for the next guest. This is in the middle of my little brother opening the only gift he got that day. No wonder Callaway unloaded this brand. I'd give the total experience a 4.5. We met up with family to spend 2 hours golfing and none of us golf. This was about finding a meeting place that was casual & fun. First of all, the employees were all nice & more than helpful so the firm should be happy with the staff that was on hand. How often do you get to say that. Visited this Topgolf twice since arriving in Louisville a year ago. Not surprisingly very much like the ones in Westchester and Columbus Ohio that I have visited before. The service was very good both times we visited both from the bar and the kitchen. They have made it much easier to get set up and started than it was previously, and they have added other golf games to the menu. The only negative I would say is you can only put one television station on in your stall at a time and on Saturday or Sunday afternoon with multiple football games on that doesn't really work well. After all of the hype, I finally decided to check out Top Golf for a recent birthday, and it's a place that I feel like lives up to it! Located where the Sears building used to be in Oxmoor Mall, Top Golf is a welcome addition to the city. It was a birthday surprise that I had planned for my better half, and after booking our spot, I excitedly drove us there on the appointed day. The staff was fantastic about showing us the ropes and getting us checked in. We ordered drinks and food and chose the game that we wanted to play. We ended up mostly sticking to the Angry Birds game. We tried a few of the others but this one was silly and fun. In the meantime our food and drinks arrived, and we were impressed at the flavor. We started with a Buffalo dip and my entree was a Cobb salad; it was filling and just the right size. The weather was beautiful for our visit, but with the covered bays, this is probably a place you could go to even when it rains. My husband is an avid golfer and always trying to get me to play. I never thought I was very good at the game and was impressed that I beat him at a number of the rounds we played there. My first time at Top Golf. Was excited to try something different and glad I did but there's some things you should know. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE Everyone who works here looks and acts like they hate their life. They don't want to be there which made me question if I wanted to be there... Check in was awful. There was a 45 min wait and bays open?? They didn't ask if we've been or explain anything to us. When it was ready we just got a text to go to the bay. Again, no idea what I need to do but we found the iPad and figured it out. They don't do anything for birthdays. THE BAY We were missing half the golf clubs??? My husband and I need 2 different sets (short and tall) and we didn't even have one complete set between what was there between the two of us. We had to run to hijack clubs from other bays so we could even hit! All the bays have different styles. Tables vs. couches vs other. Idk how they choose who gets what. Fun times! I've always wanted to go to Topgolf and was excited that they opened a location in town. It's large! Looks to be 3 levels? We came on Valentines and it wasn't super busy. Staff was nice. She had met some of the folks in my group before. She told us how to play and made sure to come around for drink and food orders. It was a lot of fun! You get better at it as you play. You can also bring your own golf clubs if you want. We shared chips and dips. So delicious! I also tried the black bean burger with fries. Loved it! Glad to see vegetarian options on the menu. One of my friends tried the chicken tenders plus the donut balls that you can inject icing into. Wonderful! I was surprised the food was good. My expectations were low. It's just as good as a sit down restaurant although much faster service! The food came out fast! It felt like I waited only a few minutes! I was impressed with the customer service. Attended a birthday party outing for my young adult son's friend here last night. I'd never been to a Topgolf and didn't plan to golf but to eat/drink and catch up with a friend attending. I was surprised at how large this venue really is! 3 levels, gift shop, bar, etc. The seating at the two bays was great, weather was also nice especially for February! The guys all got signed in to play and my gal pal & I enjoyed watching, taking forced fun photos of the minimally willing 18 year old crew there for the bday, & the drinks & food were surprisingly good and not crazy over the top pricing! Heaters were on and it almost got too hot but was nice since we were all seated outside! The place was hopping with patrons inside & out, so business is going strong for sure here! I loved the somewhat private party feel with dedicated wait staff and the events manager came by twice to ensure all was going well, a nice touch! While an expensive party space option, everyone had fun, the food was good, the staff was friendly and efficient, the restrooms & venue were kept clean by hardworking staff. The 18 year old teens really had a blast along with my husband and the bday teens dad playing Topgolf. While hanging out in the mall, getting massages, walking around the mall, and having lunch, we popped in topgolf to check it out. The concept and atmosphere are fun and upbeat. Looks like a really cool concept to hang out with friends whether you are golfers or not. We cruised around all three floors and it was packed on a late Friday afternoon. Bars on each floor, a gift shop and dinning available. There are multiple two TV screens, some that wete two stories. Pretty cool venue. A couple of recommendations: Reserve a time a week or so in advance using their app if at all possible, especially if coming at a peak time like weekends. I am so excited that Top Golf is open now. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get reservations, I was worried we wouldn't be able to get in without one, but we tried this afternoon and walked right in! So don't feel like you can't come if you don't have reservations. The bays are super nice with comfortable furniture that is heated, which is awesome considering how cold it gets this time of the year. They also have heated bays, so don't let the cold scare you away. We ordered hot chocolate to get us started and warmed up. Then had pretzel bites that were delicious! Then we ordered food, it's bar food so nothing to crazy but it was good! I got chicken strips and the hubby got hot chicken sandwich. Both very good. What a great night for date night or just to hang out with friends. They have done a fantastic job training their staff as well as a fantastic menu to enjoy a beer with a cheeseburger while you golf. This is the second time I've been to this Topgolf, as I've been to Topgolf's in Virginia and Texas. And this location is really amazing. When someone asks what Topgolf is, I tell them it's a mix between golfing and bowling. And I also let them know that their food is better than most bar food. They have a simple menu with wings, burgers, apps and an extensive drink menu for beers or cocktails. I've only tried the nachos with steak which first time were absolutely amazing. The second time they came out slightly cold, but they were still good not great. And I tried the boneless wings, lemon pepper, boy. There was some negatives though, I am a lefty and it took about 20 min of our two hours to get lefty clubs delivered. My party just played without me, but still, that's a long time. The food came out and none of our orders were correct as ordered, the tots were extra yummy crispy, but sadly cold and the mojito I ordered was awful. The food just wasn't great, the server could have checked on the party a little more and refills for drinks and stuff had to be asked for a couple times. I really want this place to do well, but I was under impressed by my experience. When we arrived, we were greeted with a wait time of 5+ hours. Whoa! Ok... but wait, why don't see half the bottom floor empty? Ok, my fault... I should have had a reservation. Apparently everyone else did. A friend and I sat in the bar upstairs and had some apps since we were already there. Started with the Nacho ordinary Nacho's with chicken. Sorta.. they were out of chicken so we substituted steak. The waitress may have over hyped them. They were ok, weren't a large serving so we ordered something else. This time we ordered the buffalo chicken dip. She wasn't wild about it, but someone else told me it was next level! Ok, this was a solid choice!! Pretty good servicing size, great flavor, and pretty good chips! I also ordered a coke to go with it. (It was during the day, so didn't drink alcohol). Wait, nope, out of coke as well. We then ordered some pretzel bites. These took 25-30 minutes to arrive, after we inquired as to where they were. They'd been ready but no one ran them out. They were decent, but I'm sure they would have been better when they were fresh. Everyone has a bad day, I'm willing to give it another shot.
